This is an alright concealer. It isn't for sale anywhere in the UK as far as I am aware so I purchased it online. Its alright at covering my under eye circles but sinks into my fine line under my eye. On top of that it looks a bit cakey so obvious that I have make up on but admittedly brightens the whole area. Its difficult to apply it with the sponge given so I use a brush instead. I don't think I'll be purchasing it again.
Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Under Eye Concealer

I'm quite suprised really. I have pretty bad dark under eye circles from lack of sleep for a good 3 or so years and am always on the hunt for a new concealer. Usually I look up products on MUA before purchasing but I didn't for this one and i'm glad I didn't because it would have scared me away from a concealer which works somewhat for me. It gets a 3 because nothing is perfect and I am only just about happy to settle with this until I find a better concealer. I saw it in the shops and tried out the tester (a new tester thankfully!) and it actually covered my dark circles! Not completely but it was enough for me to notice clearly. It doesn't cake but I do have a fine line below my eye which it does settle into a bit- a lot of moisturising with a good eye cream cn solve that problem for me. The price is alright and the packaging with the twist mechanism doesn't bother me.
Basically, it didn't work. I got the flash brown colour and after spending ages putting it on etc and leaving it on for 20 minutes longer than I should I rinsed and conditioned and my hair is just as black as it was before. I found it quite runny compared to others I've used and it smelt really bad at first, my eyes were watering a bit! Anyway, I won't be purchasing this again. ( I have naturally black hair which has been dyed before.)
Sunscreen -Etude - White Aqua Sun Guard SPF 50+/PA ++

This is quite a good sunscreen. Its light and because of that you can use it on your face unlike a lot of sunscreens which feel quite heavy. It has an ever so slight shimmer to it which you can only really see very up close to it. Make up application on top of it is possible but I have to wait for it to absorb in first which can be a bit annoying. It has a fragrance to it but it isn't very strong and doesn't bother me. On the back of the tube it says 'Formulated with green tea and mulberry tree peel extracts for moisturising, White Aqua Sun Guard supplies skin with arbutin whitening and waterproof protection from the suns harmful UV rays.' The only slight downside is the price. I got it for around $14 and you get a mediumish size tube just under 13cm tall. The tube itsself is 10.6cm tall and it doesn't feel like a lot. I've been using it on and off but I've had it for a while now. I wouldn't mind buying it again but I may try out more sunscreens too.
This is a really good moisturiser. Its not heavily fragranced, it has SPF protection, its quite light and absorbs quickly and is moisturising for pretty much all day. ( I have dry skin too.) Its supposed to be anti wrinkle to but I can't really comment on that since I don't really have any wrinkles, but I suppose its protection? It does say its for mature skin but its not heavy at all. Its reasonably priced and can be bought at supermarkets. I use it everyday and one bottle lasts about 4-5 months and I'm currently on my second bottle. I would recommend this.
Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)

It works well as a highlighter and blends well. However, as a concealer it isn't very good. I have undereye dark circles and it didn't conceal them particularly well although it did brighten them up a bit so I didn't look as tired. (This was bad though because thats one of the main reasons I bought it!) I keep my undereye well moisturised yet it still seemed obvious that I was wearing make up despite the shade matching my skin well. Packaging it good. I won't be buying it again though.
I was expecting it to be just as nice as 'Nina' but it isn't. I got the whole set inclusing shower gel and body lotion but I don't think I'll be using it all! Its alright, but I won't be buying it after this runs out. The bottle is the cutest thing in the world though.
I've been using this day and night for just over a week now and I really love it. I have dry skin so it moisturises it well and it hasn't made me break out. It has a pleasant scent although it should be applied sparingly for the daytime as it can be quite heavy when you put a lot on. But I'm sure its improved the uneven skin tone a bit as my cheeks aren't quite as red and blotchy as they usually are. I don't expect real results for a couple of months though but all good so far! I can tell its goign to last me a long time too. If only it had spf it would make it all that better. ;)
I don't think its too bad considering the price. I don't find that it clumps or flakes although admittedly it takes a few coats before it lengthens much. It will do for now. I wouldn't buy it again though.
I don't think the price is too bad for the quality. I really love the containers they are in! I find all the colours(except perhaps the green one?) gorgeous. I have Tease. I think the colour is very pretty and quite complimentary to my skin tone. I don't fidn the scent nor taste too bad (It is kind of caramel-like but I don't sit there trying it out really!) Its highly pigmented and I find the colour lasts a long time. I can't wait to try out more colours!
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

It works like a charm in keeping my eyeliner (pencil, cream or liquid) on all day. It also stops my eyeshadow from creasing and the colour still stays vibrant. It blends in well and I don't find it drying. (and I have dry skin!) It does exactly what it claims to do so I would happily repurchase.
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero

Its really good as it really does just glide on- so you don't need to worry about tugging on your lids and making wrinkles. However, it smudges quite easily. I found that I need to keep reapplying every few hours and the colour faded away on its own. Stays on better with a primer though. I would recommend this and repurchase again!
Ah, this is bad. Maybelline can do some really nice mascaras but this is not good. I found it does practically the opposite of everything it says on the tube. It clumps, makes my eyelashes stick together rather than seperate them out. The packaging is nice but for the price this mascara isn't good. I suppose its waterproof which is a plus? I'd imagine if you have a small eyelash brush to get rid of the clumps and to seperate out the lashes it would look really nice as it doesn't make my eyelashes longer- but why do that when you can probably find a mascara which does that all in one go? It takes quite careful application. I wouldn't recommend this mascara.
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner
Highskies 8/15/2009 7:47:00 AM
I'm not fussy about liquid eyeliners really. This is the first one bought and took a little while to get used to. Th first few times using it were really fustrating but as I'm now used to it, its possible to do nice thin lines with it. Its not waterproof but I've only found this a problem once. It lasts a long time as I've been using it nearly every school day for about 8 months before it began to run out. I bought glam eyes to replace afterwards as the shop I usually go to didn't have it in stock. I think there will be other liquid eyeliners though which are better and cheaper so I wouldn't really recommend it if your expecting something great.
I think this product is really good. It really feels like you're cleaning your face properly and leaves my skin soft and smooth afterwards. Thats especially important for me as I have dry skin so dead skin builds up faster on my skin faster than those of other skin types. HOWEVER, it is damaging to your skin. I would really only reccomend using it once a week otherwise you will do damage to your skin. You can't see it but the abrasiveness when used regularly can tear the skin (on a microscopic level of course) but thats still bad. Those with sensitive kin I wouldn't advise you to use it. It lasts quite a long time but needs a bit of cleaning after use. Its worth it for the price.
