Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Age Perfect Night Cream

I'm only 20, but this is my HG night cream. As I'm coming out of my teenage years I notice my skin needs a little extra moisture than it used to, but I'm still oily so I started looking for a good night cream to give my skin a little boost, and this is perfect! I can use a little when my skin is oily and more when my skin is drier to get the perfect amount of mosture. I smooth it all over my face and down my neck at night after I wash my face and apply toner and eye cream, it absorbs fast and when I wake up in the morning my skin is SO soft and smooth. I can also use this right around my eye area with no problems, which is great because many creams and serums meant for night use irritate the skin around my eyes. I'm towards the end of my second jar and I notice that most of my already light freckles have faded noticeably. I also LOVE that this hasn't made my very product-sensitive acne prone skin break out. I wish this came in a pump bottle but the jar isn't horrible, it's very heavy and solid feeling. A 2.5oz jar is $13 and lasts me about 3 months with everyday use which is an amazing value considering how great my skin looks. Love, and will continue to use!
I was on the hunt for an effective, decently priced makeup remover, and picked these up at $3.69 for a pack of 25 (which is two dollars and a few cents cheaper than the Neutrogena equivalent), as I was previously using baby wipes to remove my makeup, which don't affect my skin negatively and work well for eyeshadow and foundation but barely put a dent in my mascara and eyeliner (which my face wash also doesn't completely remove). I chose these because it says specifically on the package "removes all types of makeup, including waterproof mascara). Ones of these wipes totally removed my foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, and brow pencil with ease...but even after holding the towelette over my eye for a full minute to loosen my mascara before trying to wipe it away, I still have a thick coat of mascara on my lashes. it took off most of my eyeliner but not all of it. After use my skin felt like it had a thick residue on it from the remover and I noticed a bit of stinging on some parts of my skin. One part I REALLY dislike is the fact that there's no way to seal the package once it's been opened. There's a little perforated plastic flap that you can open, pull a towelette through and then shut again but there's no actual seal to keep the moisture in, so I can see these drying out fairly quick, especially because the towelettes themselves are quite thin. ETA: After using one of these, I ended up with a HUGE breakout on my chin just two hours later...I'm convinced this product is the culprit and I'll be returning them.
Conditioner -Suave - Keratin Infusion Color Care Conditioner

I've used this for a week in combination with the shampoo and I have noticed such a HUGE difference in my waist length, dry, frizzy, damaged hair, I can't believe how great my hair looks using a product that costs $3! this conditioner makes my hair so smooth, shiny, soft, and detangles amazingly. It gives my hair a good amount of moisture but doesn't weigh it down (which is a HUGE plus for me as my hair is naturally wavy but not very thick and many products make it look limp and lifeless), actually, I find my hair looks very healthy and full. I do wish this was a little bit more moisturizing, it's great for everyday use but I'd like to be able to coat my hair in this and leave it sit for a while for a more deep conditioning type treatment. Hopefully Suave will add a deep conditioner to this line! Update: after using this for nearly a month I have noticed such a HUGE inmprovement in my hair. Even when I wet my hair before washing my hair feels super soft and smooth, and I have noticed my hair doesn't tangle nearly as easily as it did before, especially because I always wear a necklace and my hair never gets caught or tangled in my jewelry like it used to. If I wasn't sold on this when I wrote my original review I absolutely am now! I even have a friend who is a pro hair dresser hooked on this, the first time she used it she commented on how silky and smooth her hair was and how she was amazed that a shampoo and conditioner that cost $3 could make hair look and feel so great.
Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Keratin Infusion Color Care Shampoo

I wanted to wait a bit longer to review this, as I've only been using this for a week (with the conditioner), but I love it so much I didn't want to hold off any longer! My hair is waist length and very dry/damaged from bleach and color processes. Previously I was using the Tresemme shampoo and conditioner for colored hair, which did make my hair feel a bit less dry but my hair was still frizzy and coarse. The first time I used this shampoo, even while my hair was wet before I conditioned it, my hair felt much smoother and, if this makes any sense, stronger than before I shampooed. I can even comb through my hair with a wide-toothed comb after using just the shampoo without my hair stretching or breaking. I admit I haven't used this without the conditioner (I ALWAYS condition my hair!), and I probably never will because my hair is so dry, and in combination with the conditioner my hair feels so great I wouldn't want to go without it. The end result of all of this is that my hair is smooth, shiny, and much less frizzy than it is without this product, something I didn't think I could achieve without time, deep conditioning and cutting off all of my hair that had been over processed. Considering that a bottle of this is about $3 I'd say this is in the realm of miracle products for me. Love! Toners -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Triple-Action Toner

I'm a little ashamed to admit that before I started using this two weeks ago, I was someone who never used toner, it was a product I never saw any use for and didn't see any point in wasting time and money on an extra step in my skincare routine. But, now I am totally hooked! I use this once a day, at night after I take my makeup off and wash my face, I pour a little bit on an "exfoliating" cotton round and massage my t-zone and any breakouts with the exfoliating side, then go over the rest of my face except my eye area with the other side. It makes my face feel very smooth and clean and in combination with the matching face wash I've noticed my skin tone evening out, the pores on my nose shrinking and the breakouts I do get are smaller and heal much faster. The only downside to this product for me is that I find it to be a little drying, my skin definitely feels tight after I use it, but with my night cream I don't notice my skin being any drier than usual. I've seen some complaints about the packaging, I don't have any trouble with this spilling or getting more than I need out of the bottle, I just gently tip it over above my cotton round, don't turn it completely upsidown or squeeze the bottle. I also love that this is lasting me a long time, with two weeks of daily use, the bottle is still 9/10 full, so this should last me a few months. Well worth $7 and I will continue using this and plan to repurchase when I run out!
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Gel Cleanser
HesterMofet 5/16/2012 10:59:00 PM
I've been using this for about a month now, and with the coordinating toner for two weeks and I have noticed a huge improvement in the clarity and tone of my skin. I'm noticing the pores on and around my nose are buch smaller giving my skin a smoother appearance, and the breakouts I've had (which are due to hormones and me picking at my face!) Are much smaller and heal faster than when I wasn't using this. The only real downside I can see is that I don't find it to be very effective for removing makeup, so I remove it before I shower and wash my face. I spend a good minute or two really massaging it into my skin and my face feels so fresh and clean, I love using this in the morning, the scent is very light and invigorating but not overpowering. Definitely a fixture in my skin care regimen!
Styling Products -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Penetrating Oil

I've been using this for about a month now, and I don't think it's a miracle product but I will continue using it. My hair is waist length, bleached and color treated and VERY dry. I apply a good amount (about 4 drops) to the bottom half of my hair and around my hairline where I get frizzy from breakage while my hair is damp, it doesn't make my hair super shiny but it does smooth it out and make it feel soft, strong, and moisturized. I prefer to use this with another leave in treatment to really tame any frizziness and give my hair more shine. I personally think the smell is addicting, I can't stop smelling my hair right after I put this on! This might be a better product for someone with less damaged hair than mine, I may try the "intense" version after I finish my bottle. A MAJOR plus for this product is that I notice it cuts way down on the drying time for my hair, which is great becase 99% of the time I let it air dry. My only complaint is that I noticed after a few weeks my hair seemed very dry and resistant to soaking up moisture, I think this product was leaving buildup that was preventing my hair from absorbing moisture - but a wash with clarifying shampoo seemed to do the trick.
