I was fortunate enough to be a perfect match for St Moritz. I love this product and I would definitely repurchase. Pros: SPF 30 yayy! A good squeeze bottle with a very small hole so theres minimal wastage Bottle is a compact flat rectangular shape A little goes a long way Scentless Easy to apply texture Gives a luminous, natural, fresh and dewy finish! Perfect colour match for me No oxidation Skin is really soft after use! Weird. (I changed nothing else in my skin care routine). Feels like you are wearing nothing on your face Cons I have combination skin so I need to use a blotting product after one hour and then once again after 5 hours. ( I wish there was a Sheer Matte type version).

Blush -TheBalm - Hot Mama
rated 4 of 5

I got mine in a swop and I was really thrilled with this! This is a nicely pigmented product- a little goes a long way- I over did it the first time!!! It has good lasting power- 8 hours at least, gives a natural glow thats neither matte nor frosty. It applies so easily gliding on like silk. It does not dry out or irritate my sensitive cheeks. I see all my other blushes having a bit of a holiday..............oh no. Its non irritating on the eyes- but its not a colour I would personally wear there. The packaging has a decent mirror and strong magnet type clasp closure and I love the fun art work. But I have a strong feeling that some people may not like the cardboard packaging in the long run- those of you who travel a lot or touch up a lot and need to squeeze it into a day kit. (Im thinking of Benefit blushers- mind you that odd square shape is harder to pack and probly trashes the packaging faster, whereas at least this product is a tidy shape). I recommend this!!

Styling Products -Fudge - Salt spray
rated 4 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 5:16:00 PM

I have dead straight, super shiny, super healthy, super sleek hair- apparently what gazillions of people would love to have. And yet how I yearn for the just out of bed/tousled and rough look. But no, my Asian hair is stubbornly orderly, neat and undreadlockable. Anyway in conjunction with my cool new textured short hair cut from Fergus (love you Fergus), stopping use of hair conditioner, using a cheap shampoo and THIS product...... I kind of have a textured rough look. The salt kind of stops my hair sliding neatly into place. It doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky or heavy and you refresh your toussled look by running a wet hand through your hair (or by being rained on in Ireland all year round). Be warned this smells strongly of coconuts- probably to evoke a sense of being a laid back unkempt salty surf bum. Oh- the bottle has a neat non slip rubbery base.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Medium Plus
rated 2 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 5:02:00 PM

BIG YAWN. ZZZZZ Sigh............How to use this??????? It oxidises on me. It spoils the lovely luminous effect of my liquid foundation when I use it to 'set' my foundation. When worn over moisturizer alone, it has such low coverage that I look like a slightly dusted clay dolly with bright red cheeks. uuurrgghhhhh. My late 30s skin has organ rejected MAC foundation powder products......theres been good memories and good times....... but our relationship is OVER.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Triple X
rated 4 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 4:39:00 PM

This winter I found my Holy Grail red lipstick but it was MATTE. So I splashed out on this to give my new HG red lippie some lift. I liked the versatility it gave me- with any lipstick I could have a 'light tint effect'. I found this to be a great texture- its not sticky, I don't notice its on (think of it like a well fitting bra) and its very very hydrating. It has sexy high sheen and no annoying scent. Your smackers will love you for this product. For these reasons I would re-buy.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip glaze
rated 3 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 4:31:00 PM

If you don't like sticky products on your lips then don't go near these. Stop reading and just move on. If you have long hair that billows around your face like in a 'Head and Shoulders' advertisement- watch out- your dandruff free hair may end up sticking to your lips making you can look like Cousin It. These are rather interesting. If you can move past the stickiness, the colors are beautiful and there is high shine. They are nice layered over a boring matte lipstick. The product stays on my lips for about 2 hours and is relatively moisturizing. I kind of like the twisty system. I don't know if they are value for money as they are suspiciously easy to use up- but I don't care as I like using things up.

Lip Gloss -Mary Kay - Fancy Nancy Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 4:13:00 PM

I got mine in a swop and was totally surprised. I have very irritable lips that dry out quickly. This doesn't dry them out or make me want to lick my lips compulsively. It has a mild vanilla/ Palmers Cocoa butter scent with no flavor. The texture is not sticky (Stila lip glazes are dang sticky) but this is smooth and spreads easily. The fine sparkles will not be for everyone. The colour is surprisingly lighter on lips compared to what you see on the side of the tube. Give it a swatch- its definitely much better looking out of the tube!. Wearing power is weak- I think it disappears after an hour on me- so you need to be someone who likes having a retouch ritual in your day. Finally I dig the name Fancy Nancy.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick - Plum
rated 4 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/8/2013 3:57:00 PM

I am not into heavy eye makeup so I really enjoyed using Plum as an eye liner in winter. I have brown oriental eyes and I don't like mascara. By following the Laura Mercier eye liner technique I looked like I was wearing mascara and had sassy looking eyes! Plum made a nice change for me to black and brown and worked well with purple on the lid. I did try using it as an eye shadow but for me it was too dark- I don't like dark colours on my lids. This product goes on smoothly, doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes, has a small time frame to work it before it sets, does not crease or fade. Its pretty fab and worth the money.

Fragrances -Chanel - Chanel No 18
rated 5 of 5
Hermanspottypants 3/3/2013 5:29:00 PM

I doubt I'll need to buy this again. A 200ml sized bottle ? Were the Chanel team totally cracked on fumes when they designed the bottle??? I suppose if you are a dedicated perfumista then you should decant some into a smaller spray bottle for your purse. And you do need to touch up if you only like spraying on skin- I have oilier body skin but this only lasts 6 hours on me. Some perfumers recommend spraying perfume on hair or clothing but that is not for everyone. To me Chanel 18 is the most unusual in the Exclusifs line. Also I cannot think of any other fragrance that smells similar. But thats not why I shelled out a fair whack of money for this. I love this fragrance. It is a scent of intro-spection not extro-spection. I prefer to use it in spring and summer when my body heat is warmer and more of my skin is exposed. My warmer body mixed with the sun, seems to accentuate the rose smell. On me, there is an initial slight yeasty/cumin/bread smell but after an hour a cool, slightly woody, delicate rose scent appears. It is like watching a rose peep open in the morning. The rose is not sweet, cliched or loud. It is slightly aloof, calm, elegant and tempered with the unusual smell of the ambrette. Just beautiful and unique.

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Luminous Silk Foundation
rated 4 of 5
Hermanspottypants 2/23/2013 6:19:00 AM

This is a wonderful product probably better for those with normal to dry skin. It just looks very very natural and luminous. I really love the look and its very easy to apply. The trouble for me is that it doesn't stay on my face very long thanks to my combination skin- after 4 hours it started to slide off. Thats the reason I wouldn't get this again. Oh and coverage level is only medium. It does not build up.

Pressed Powders -Laura Mercier - Smooth Focus Pressed Setting Powder - Shine Control
rated 5 of 5
Hermanspottypants 2/23/2013 5:52:00 AM

The only purpose to use this is for the absorption of facial shine. So be patient and don't use it until you have a bit of shine. Do not waste it to 'set your makeup'. Ignore the fact its green. I got the green version. The green does nothing - oh its just like all of the other greeny products I've been tricked into buying.... Over the last 15 years I have used a multitude of oil blotting products from decleor, clinique, clarins, body shop, mac and benefit. My shine has diminished as I have aged, but I would still need a touch up usually every 3 hours at work (unless Im using Nars sheer matte foundation). To cut to the chase, this is quick and easy to apply- I like the nice little case with its mirror. If you have a shine problem on my level, it soaks up the oil immediately like magic and doesn't leave my skin feeling slimey/dry/heavy. I find that after I have used it I wouldn't need to reapply for at least 4 hours. If you put this on a low/no oil patch of skin then yes it can make you look dusty- like you were in the kitchen baking dusty. And if you put this for no sensible reason on a dry patch of skin yes you will look like a baker. As Ive said this product is primo for sucking up shiney oil. If there is no oil it will sit there because its got no job to do. Bottom line: the sponge is thin and soft so only dab it on your oily spots!! You need to wash your little sponge now and then ( I use Bobbi Browns cleanser). This is the best oil absorbing product I have come across. Its a bonus to have it in functional portable packaging. Laura you redeemed yourself with this product. You needed to because your tinted moisturiser was just naff.

Treatments -Lancome - Visionnaire [LR 2412 4%]
rated 3 of 5
Hermanspottypants 2/17/2013 9:46:00 PM

meh I got through 50mls and thats enough. My skin seems just as good without this product in my life. I don't think it did much for my mega pores. But I have a bone to pick. The SA said to use this at night (so I purchased Genefique for day use). Since then Visionnaire has been put into a foundation. Soooooooooooo Visionnaire does work in the day time as long as you hide it in foundation??? Finks to the marketing scamsters.

Such a beautiful colour- eternally perfect for spring (unless the planet crumbles or never has spring anymore) but it wears off and chips quickly. Too much work for me.
