Wow Wow Wow. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this product! I'm currently on my 5th bottle of this stuff. I was so frustrated before because I couldn't find a cleanser that was natural(ish), didn't have synthetic fragrances and actually worked well on my skin without it causing me to break out or dry out my skin. Well I stumbled upon this one at Sephora and have loved it ever since. It makes my skin feel smooth and clean and doesn't cause me to break out. In fact, it seems to keep my pimples at bay. Theres no overly strong perfume or artificial smell, it just smells like plants. I can't use any products that have synthetic frangrace, so the smell was fine to me. It didn't stink or anything either. The consistency is sticky and very gel like. Just like how it says in the name. Its not that sticky when you put it in your hands, but once it dries it becomes quite sticky. This is a problem if you spill some product. I put this stuff in travel bottles when I went on trips and it made the bag i was carrying it in sticky so be careful. I do appreciate that this bottle is in a pump. Makes it a lot more sanitary and easy to use. Every cleanser should have a pump. What I do is I use one pump into my fingertips, rub my fingertips together (to activate ingredients) and then rub on my face. I let it sit for about 2 mintues and then I rinse off. I do this twice a day. The ONLY problem I have with this is the price. Its $26 a pop. Quite expensive. Especially since it doesn't have a whole lot of product in here. From my usage, it seems to hold up about 3-4 months. Unfortunately, spending $26 each time is a little too much for me, so I will start researching some new facial cleansers :( If it werent for the price though, I would repurchse for the rest of my life haha!
I really liked this product. It was my go to cream blush for a long time. I liked it even more than the MAC blush. I have the one in tea rose? And its such a natural color. It adds just the right flush to my cheeks without looking heavy or obvious that im wearing blush. Cream blushes in general tend to look more natural but certain ones can make you look clownish. This certainly doesn't. The texture is smooth and easy to apply. You dont need a lot of product so the product has lasted a long time with me. It also hasn't dried out on me. My MAC one dried out pretty quickly :/ The pacakaging is a little flimsy. Its probably made out of some cheap plastic but its still holding up pretty good. Thats probably my only complaint. I got this for $6 from CVS and you can probably get it even cheaper when NYX goes on sale. I would repurchase!
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
HelloKittyHun 11/21/2011 9:54:00 PM
Okay, so this is actually a very nice lipbalm. It smells really nice and fresh and it has very durable, nice looking packaging. It's quite moisturizing and it leaves a very nice sheer red tint to my lips. I also very much appreciate the SPF 15. Most lip balms with SPF 15 in it tend to really make the lips white and make you look dead :/ But because of the tint, it certainly doesn't. It's very easy to apply and the wording doesn't come off THAT easily. My tarte lip balm, the wording came off super easily. However, I did mark down a lippie because of the PRICE. It's $22.50 for just a LIPBALM. And it's not like there is a TON of product in here. There's about as much as any other lip balm. You're mainly paying for the packaging seeing as how it's hard and durable. Not just plastic. I wouldn't be repurchasing for the fact that I just can't afford paying $22.50 for a new lip balm everytime! It's a nice product no doubt, but I'll just look for something similar that I can just get at the drugstore.
Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Cucumbers Face Cleanser Towelettes
HelloKittyHun 7/22/2011 6:13:00 PM
Hmmmm Well I really liked this product myself. It got off all my makeup and it made my skin feel refreshed not dried out and it even made my skin a little more dewy looking afterwords. I didn't break out from these and they smell fresh. It didn't sting that much like how the other reviewers are saying Idk. I have sensitive skin so I find it rather gentle enough on my skin. I used it on my eyes, and it stung FAINTLY but nothing that wasn't tolerable. I like the cute cucumber packaging and 30 towelettes for $7 wasn't too bad of a deal. I will be repurchasing once I run out!
The colors are fine, I have the one with the pink and purple shades. However, the pink one shows up a little too powdery. But I do like that the base color as SPF 20. The other colors are quite pigmented and good and the colors are pretty easy to blend. However, the lasting power isn't that great at all. Even with a base, it faded pretty quickly. :| If it weren't for that, I would have bumped it up a lippie but until they fix that. It's a mediocre product.
Lip Liners -Revlon - Colorstay Sheer Lipliner - Sheer Blush
HelloKittyHun 5/1/2011 6:37:00 PM
Sucks. I get that it's "sheer" and all, but it doesn't even place the color evenly around the lips, i tried to make it even, but within a couple of minutes, it has moved around. Not only that but its DRYING. it really for some reasons dries your lips out. It's literally like putting a colored pencil on your lip. the packaging is really flimsy. You kinda have to hold the pencil in place so it would stay still otherwise it would have moved everywhere. Very plastic cheap. I would definitely not re-purchase this. :/
Deodorants -The Body Shop - DeoDry Dry-Effect Deodorant
HelloKittyHun 4/27/2011 1:25:00 PM
Omg there's so many negative reviews for this! I'm not sure why there's so many of them. For me personally, it works for me! A nice light scent, nothing too heavy, keeps my perspiration at bay and keeps my body odor from expelling. For mainly about 7 hours. The only problem I have with this is the packaging. The little knob at the bottom is hard to turn to get the product out and the cap can never seem to stay on properly. But other than that, the deodorant itself works fine for me!
Toners -Caudalie - Eau de Raisin Hydratante - Grape Water
HelloKittyHun 3/28/2011 4:09:00 PM
This toner does exactly what it's supposed to do. It tones and refreshes the face without causing irritation or any breakouts to the skin. It doesn't remove makeup well, but that wasn't what it claimed to do so people shouldn't be marking down for that. I like that it's all natural. there are only THREE ingredients. Water, grape extract and nitrogen (which is used for the spray can effect). It's not SUPPOSED to brighten your skin or provide moisture either. That's not part of their market claims so to downplay the toner for that is not exactly fair. It basically refreshes and restore pH balance. That's it. But it's true that it's expensive for the amount they give. It should be cheaper. But I guess since it's coming from a rather expensive skincare line, the toners have to be expensive too. Ehhhhh I still would buy again.
Treatments (Eye) -Clarins - Sun Wrinkle Control Eye Contour Care SPF 30
HelloKittyHun 3/13/2011 9:28:00 PM
Nice little eye sunscreen. It doesn't sting or irritate my eyes at all and I appreciate the amount of SPF in it. It doesn't leave a large white cast behind either. The only problem I have is the packaging. There isn't enough product I feel for the price you pay. If using this daily, it might only last you a couple of months. But otherwise, it's a worthwhile investment I think. :) It's not so much an eye CREAM or GEL so don't expect it to remove your dark circles and puffiness. It's purely an eye sunscreen mainly. I would repurchase.
Well...I really like these. :] They moisturize my lips well, the color stays on for a good 2-3 hours and they give just a nice subtle hint of color. I think it's perfect for an everyday moisturizing lip. It has been my to go lip product this past month. It's super convenient in your pocket or in your purse and the design is cute. If you're looking for something that's intensely moisturizing or opaque then...this isn't it. It's averagely moisturizing and its a sheer color. But just enough to make your lips look more alive. I like it, and I would still repurchase at $15...kinda expensive though.
Yikesssss. This product has gotten some bad reviews. For me, the moisturizer itself was alright. It's a little thick, so I would say it's best suited for a winter moisturizer. The smell is awful. Like, it's better than them to put synthetic fragrances which break people out (like me), but danggggg. The smell is like some type of chemical mosquito repelent. It's pretty bad. But I tried not to let that get in the way of me liking the product so I only marked off 1 lippie because the moisturizer itself is pretty good. Makes my skin soft and soaks in quite fast. Idk if I would repurchase, maybe if they changed the scent a little.
This is an okay mascara. It does provide length but on me, it seems to clump up. It gives a nice black pigmentation and not too much fall out but ugh I really don't like the applicator. The comb brush thing is very hard to maneuver and I feel like I could touch my eyes easily while applying it and mascara would get all over. It's just too large. Anyways, if they change the brush then I might re-purchase by the mascara is good in itself.
I think this eyeliner is OKAY. Its satisfactorily pigmented and the packaging is fine. It goes on quite smooth and doesn't tug at my waterline. However, I need to put black eyeshadow on this or else it will disappear withing minutes. It doesn't stray all over my eye, but it just disappears. Idk. I mean it's alright for 99 cents but I'm not sure if I would buy it again. They need to make it a little longer lasting for me to re-purchase.
This is pretty good. I think it's worth the $15 I paid for at walgreens. It moisturizes pretty well but I really don't like that it kinda takes a while to sink into my skin since it is a rather thick consistency. But once it does, my skin feels softer. The scent I think it something that puts people off, it smells like a baby powder scent or like your grandmother's perfume. However, I actually really like the scent. It smells comforting, sweet and soothing to me. I guess it's just preference. Don't let the scent throw you off! Try the product for yourself. I think this is definitely more of a winter moisturizer because it is rather thick, but I use it in Hawaii where it's practically summer all year, but I don't mind it. I actually look forward to putting this on each day and I wouldn't mind repurchasing. I don't mind the plastic jar packaging. For those of you looking for a lighter, not as strong scenting moisturizer, i suggest their other day time moisturizer with SPF. Idk. I haven't tried that one yet, but it's another option for those who find this too much.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Galderma - Epiduo (aka Tactuo in Canada)
HelloKittyHun 2/12/2011 9:23:00 PM
HOLY GRAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I don't have major acne, just mainly on my forehead from time to time and when I do, I simply place a little bit of this on the pimples and in 2-3 days THEY ARE GONE. It's AMAZING. It's like MAGIC. It doesn't have any scent and it comes out of a tube, which is hygienic. But the downside is that it CAN dry out your skin if you put on too much. You really need to follow the directions of only putting it on once a day and a LITTLE BIT on the pimples. Putting on too much can result it a flaky dry patch. I once put it on 3 times a day because I was so excited and I thought the directions were too little but I ended up flaking really bad. People thought I went to the beach and my skin was peeling. Yikes...so bottom line is to make sure to follow the printed topical directions and you should be fine.If you have pimples and want a nice spot treatment, THIS IS IT. So pay your Dermatologist or doctor a visit and GET IT. GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO.
