I love Apt.5 lip glosses. The amount of color, shine, and stickiness is just perfect! Not too thick or sticky. I actually prefer these to my Chanel glossimers and Mac glosses. The color selection is great too and at 6.50 a tube, a bargain for the quality. The glosses also leave a really nice stain after wearing off or blotting. Really pretty!
Lotions/ Creams -Cottage Shoppe - Coffee Cake Body Butter
Helena 3/27/2003 1:36:00 PM
This is sooo yummy! My favorite fragrance from CS. It smells just like coffee cake - really delicious. My absolute favorite foody scent so far including NE, Esoaps, SS, MUU. I just ordered a replacement body butter and the perfume oil, salt scrub, bubble bath,... I can't get enough of this scent!
Lotions/ Creams -A Zaftig Woman - Sugar Drops Shea Butter Body Cream
Helena 3/9/2003 1:47:00 PM
I got this as a sample with my last order. The texture is very nice, like lotion, sinks right in without the watery texture like their old formulation and is very moisturizing. I can't decide if I like the scent though. Sugar Drops starts out very almondy, like marzipan, smells just like Burt's Bees hand cream in the tub which I love. The almond very quickly fades and is replaced by a predominantly sweet cinnamon with an undertone of vanilla. It's very nice but not what I expected. I think A Zaftig Woman changed their base because this is how my Vanilla Apricot shea souffle ends up smelling like after the apricot/peach fades. I like cinnomon but I probably won't purchase again since they all end up smelling alike.
This is a light gel moisturizer I wear under makeup. Makes a very nice base and makes my foundation sit very smoothly much like a silicon primer but w/o the silicon. I have normal skin, not breakout prone, and really like this because I usually don't like wearing moisturizer under makeup: It feels like I have too much stuff on my face. I'm not sure what this stuff is suppose to do but I really like it as a light moisturizer/prebase for makeup.
Soy candle. My favorite candle, ever. Rich, fruity apricot blended with the most beautiful osmanthus, not fake or perfumey. All Pacifica candles are scented with essential oils and this one has a great throw. I also love the way the heavy glass votive looks with a decoish label. Just perfect! Skincare - Face -Pacifica - Lemongrass Herbal Day Cream SPF6
Helena 1/30/2003 4:59:00 PM
I really like this moisturiser. Smells like lemongrass, delish, and has a soft whipped cream texture that goes on a little heavy but sinks in and leaves my face very soft with no greasiness or residue. The SPF 6 is from octyl methoxycinnamate which has irritated my skin in the past but does not in this formula. Can be found at Whole Foods or http://pacificanaturalskincare.com I've been using this for the past two weeks. I have combo skin, normal with a oily t-zone, but this cream doesn't break me out and my t-zone is much less oily since I've been using it. Luv it!
I have this in Stay Natural Sheer. It really does wear very well. I had it on for 7 days without a chip. Didn't care too much for the color. This nude has a slight shimmer to it and the first coat streaked so you have to add a second coat which made it too opaque for me.
The perfect sheer nude. Exactly the color of my natural nails so it just adds a well groomed and polished look w/o looking fake or overdone like a french manicure. Great OPI quality, wears great, doesn't chip, but looks so natural that I don't have to worry about it looking worn.
This is pacifica's set of 3 holiday soy candles. Beautifully packaged, each candle is in a heavy glass votive with the scent labeled in front. The scents are Russian Fir, Mexican Cinnamon and Spiced d'Anjou Pear and are all blended from essential oils. Really nice! Not the greatest throw but they smell great when they're all burned together. The Russian Fir is a fresh, green, piney but not too sharp scent. The Mexican Cinnamon is the nicest cinnamon scent I've ever smelled. Sweet and cinnamony without being too foody/bakery or smelling like Red Hots/Big Red Gum. This candle has the best throw out of the three. The Spiced d'Anjou is a buttery pear scent, really nice but has the weakest throw of the three. The best thing about Pacifica candles is that they never smell artificial or synthetic. Great scents!
My current fav cleanser. I normally don't wear makeup but when I do, I really like to wear a lot of it including illuminaire, long last lippies and mucho eye makeup (I only wear Kiss Me mascara though). This takes it ALL off without needing to double cleanse with a makeup remover and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or stripped. Normally, I don't break out unless I don't remove my makeup properly and I haven't broken out since I've been using this. Great stuff!
This is one of my all time favorite scents. Unfortunately, the Pacifica candle doesn't have the best throw but try the soap. So yummy and a bar on the washstand will scent a small size bathroom and keep your hands smelling delish. Wonderful quality soap, very clean rinsing. Pacifica also makes a body butter in this scent which I will try next.
I have this in Brett, which is a sheer, YLBB, berry shade, similar to Cargo Nevis. The staying power is similar to other sheer lippies, not great, but this is moist and comfortable to wear. Overall, I think I prefer other brands though (Cargo, Vincent Longo, or Delux sheers) because the Jane Iredale has a distinct rose scent, not overpowering like Chanel but definitely there. I know the description says no fragrance but this lippie smells:(
Lotions/ Creams -Fresh - Milk Chocolate and Nectarine Milk lotions
Helena 2/16/2002 6:21:00 PM
Both the Chocolate and Nectarine Milk lotions were staples of mine. Chocolate in winter to wear under CSP Amour de Cocao and Nectarine in spring to wear under CSP Vanille Abricot. The chocolate scent is very subtle and the lotion is more floral to my nose, very little chocolate. The nectarine is a powdery peachy scent, comforting and babyish. Both are very light moisturisers. Unfortunately, I've developed an allergy (red, itchy bumps) to these lotions and gave my stash away which was a good thing since I've found more moisturizing lotions with scents I like better.
Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Nectar

It smells like sweet melons, with a weird/slightly off (overripe mango?) undernote that keeps it from smelling like fresh canteloupes. Hard to describe. I didn't care for this. No tartness to the fruit and I can't detect any of the citrus notes. It's a heavy, sweet, fruity melon scent.
My favorite scent from L'Occitane. Very fresh and sweet at the same time. Really nice and not perfumey at all.
