Treatments -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment [DISCONTINUED]

I absolutely LOVE this product. I'm 18 years old and have never had an acne product that worked as well as this. I've had prescription treatments such as differin and duac. I don't have a serious acne problem, but I do get a few blemishes and this keeps my skin super clear. I definitely recommend this product! :)

Crème -MAC - Mineralize Foundation
Heatherxlane 2/2/2011 11:28:00 PM
I just bought this foundation 5 days ago and so far I love it. I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those that I love at 1st and then in a month decide "it's just not for me". I REALLY don't think that will be the case however. As another person mentioned, it feels quite wet/liquidy to the finger. I wouldn't imagine that it would set the way that it does. As I get closer to 40, my skin is definitely drier especially in the winter months. I have tried so many different foundations searching for the right color, formula, finsh, coverage, staying power, etc. I've most recently tried the cheper brands...Revlon Colorstay, Maybelline Superstay..those types because I workout hard and sweat alot! I unfortunately am one of those people who has gotten used to seeing myself "made-up" so I also wear makeup to the gym. (really bad I know) Some of the "staying foundations" can set so quickly & thick and I feel like as I'm sweating my skin can't breathe..however the stuff does not sweat off, I'll give it that. I have worked out 3days so far with this makeup and so far so good. I do have some Revlon Mineral Color Stay Matte Bronze powder that I set it with just to keep it in place and to give a little added color. That powder is much like the Mac Mineralize powder, very light, sheer, not heavy...I figured I try it with it since I already had it. However, if I weren't working out I don't know that I'd really need a powder with this foundation...but it's not drying either. I have large pores (coming with age), fairly light skin, every little pimple I get leaves a mark/scar that takes forever to go away, dark circles, and starting to get few age spots (not a pretty picture, huh?) Well this covers great! Because of my bad skin I do still have to use a tiny bit of concealer or I've even gone over some blemishes with this foundation using a concealer brush. I almost feel like over time my skin might improve (as far as breakouts go) with this makeup because it just feels so flawless and natural but yet with great coverage! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT so far!!! With my Revlon mineral finishing powder I haven't had to touch up my face once...even after working out, other than under my eyes a bit. I use NC25...give it a try if your skin is on the dry side. I hope this can be my new favorite to last for a long long time...I hate the battle of always trying to find a new foundation and wasting so much money! BTW, this is my teenager's page...just in case you notice a discrepancy in the age.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 15 Normal/Dry Skin
Heatherxlane 6/28/2010 7:40:00 PM
I use to use the ColorStay formula for combination/oily skin, but I recently switched to this formula. I know its for normal/dry skin, but it really does work good with oily skin. Its SOOO much better than the other formula. It looks more natural, and its easier to blend. And its still oil-free. I felt like the other formula was just more cakey looking and too matte since it was for oily skin. This one still gives flawless coverage and really does last about all day. I love it! :)

This is one of my favorite mac eyeshadows! It's very pretty and natural. And I love combining it with the Satin Taupe eyeshadow. :)

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
Heatherxlane 1/16/2010 2:18:00 PM
I recently got this mascara and have been using it for about 2 weeks and I love it so far! This is one of the only mascaras that is not waterproof that doesn't smudge or sweat off. I'm glad because I don't like waterproof because it's harsh on your eyelashes and can be difficult to get off. Great mascara, I'd definately buy it again! :)

Brows -LORAC - Creamy Brow Pencil - Blonde

I really like this eye brow pencil. I have thick eyebrows and I barely put any of this on, and it makes them look perfect. I get a lot of compliments on my eyebrows. It seems to last a long time too. :)

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
Heatherxlane 11/29/2009 11:42:00 AM
I recently got this powder and I'm liking it so far. I was a bit worried about using MAC again, because some of their other products have broke me out bad or made me look cakey. But so far I am really liking this and it hasn't broke me out yet. It has a nice light coverage. Good for a setting powder over foundation.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
Heatherxlane 11/29/2009 11:37:00 AM
I've always looked for the perfect foundation, and now I've found it! I've been using this for the past 3 months and I absolutely love it! You can get it for Dry skin or Combination/ Oily skin. It actually helped control my oil and it didn't break me out luckily. It makes my skin look flawless. I love applying it with a duo fibre brush (skunk brush). Overall, I think this is a great product! UPDATE: I now use the Normal/Dry skin formula and it is SOOO much better. Its still oil-free, but it doesn't cake on like this one. It just looks a lot more natural, and is easier to blend. And it doesn't make me oily at all, and I have some pretty oily skin.

Self Tanners -Jergens - Natural Glow
Heatherxlane 11/29/2009 11:32:00 AM
I think this self tanner is great! For a self tanner it is pretty cheap, you can get it at a drugstore. I am EXTREMELY pale, and when I put this on for only a week it gave me some color and didn't streak! I've tried spray tans and they looked horrible. This doesn't have too bad of a smell either. I would definately get this again.
