Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS
rated 2 of 5

I received the deluxe sample size from Ulta. The tube was the size of my pinkie. If that's the deluxe sample I'd hate to see the regular sample size. Size aside I put the gloss on my lips and waited...and waited...and waited. Apparently the natural color of my lips is the right shade for me because it didn't turn any other color. It was basically a clear gloss. It wasn't the stickiest gloss I've ever tried but it did have a some tack to it. I would never purchase the full size because a clear gloss by any other brand is a lot cheaper.

Lotions/ Creams -Alpha Hydrox - Ultra Rich Hand Therapy Creme
rated 2 of 5
HazyDayz 4/23/2012 1:05:00 PM

I purchased this lotion at clearance price to bring my total to free shipping level, but more importantly for my hands. This winter has been very drying on my hands and I've notice dry patches between my fingers. This lotion does not seem to be helping them. While the lotion doesn't have a fragrance it oddly smells like feet to me. Not a fan of that. It also doesn't soak in so it leaves your hands tacky for quite a while. In the end it didn't soften my dry patches. My hands feel and look the same. You could purchase any lotion and get the same result.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Cocoa Butter Scrub
rated 5 of 5
HazyDayz 7/24/2011 7:02:00 PM

This is a very gentle scrub. Perfect for sensitive skin. The smell reminds me of a beachy scent for some reason. You can smell the cocoa butter and almost like a light chocolatey scent. It's not overpowering but does smell. The texture is amazingly smooth. The grains of the scrub are as fine as sand on a beach. They don't scratch your face as you rub it on. It washes off clean with no residue. I use it daily because it is that gentle. It hasn't caused any redness or breakouts for me.

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
rated 3 of 5
HazyDayz 7/24/2011 6:35:00 PM

This review is for the Black Tea & Blackberry Jack Black Lip Balm. I don't love it but I don't hate. When you first smell it you get the blackberry. It's after awhile that you get a hint of the black tea. I wasn't a fan of the smell at first but I've come to enjoy it. The texture is thick but glides on nicely. Think of a thicker version of Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly. It's not greasy but your lips do slip smoothly over each other. It has no color so it goes on clear but does leave a slight shine to the lips, not a lipgloss sheen but not a dry lip look either. As for the 'intense therapy'...well I wouldn't call it intense. While you are wearing it your lips feel nice but I don't think it makes them feel more hydrated or more moisturized. I've used other lip balms that provide the same result. You get a small amount for the price you pay. I would buy it again because I like the scent but it's not my end all be all lip balm.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
rated 1 of 5
HazyDayz 7/24/2011 5:54:00 PM

Saw Proactiv on QVC and figured I'd give it a try. What did I have to lose besides my acne? Well it actually made my face worse. It caused very deep cystic acne and rather large whiteheads like I've never experienced. I don't believe in the purging process. The 1st step the face wash had an unpleasant odor I would describe as old lady-ish. Step 2 the toner stung after I used the face wash and had that same funny scent. Step 3 the lotion made my face feel itchy and again with that scent. It also caused my face to become rather dry and flaky but at the same time I was oily, if that makes any sense. Apparently my skin can't handle the main ingredient which is benzoyl peroxide. It's rather expensive for such a tiny amount that you get. Price coupled with the fact this damaged my skin more then helped made Proactiv an epic failure for me. Everyone's skin is different so I'm sure this works for some. For me this was a waste of time and money.

Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - Profusion Colour Me Glow 12 Shades Eyeshadow #3
rated 4 of 5
HazyDayz 7/12/2011 5:13:00 PM

You might be wondering why I rated these high. Well if you like to be creative and use inexpensive products then you'll like playing with these. If you use a liner brush, dip it in water or any other mixing media and rub the brush in any of the colors, this makes the most beautiful metallic eyeliner in some of the more random colors. The staying power is amazing too. I only tried them as top lid liners not waterline or lower lash line so I don't know staying power of that. To use them as regular shadows they aren't terrible. If you use a primer and pat on the shadow you'll get pay off. I have other shadows that I'd rather choose over them but as liners they are fun. It's only 99 cents so if you did end up hating them you're not out that much. But try them as liners cause you might be surprised.

Masks -Formula 10.0.6 - Deep Down Detox
rated 4 of 5
HazyDayz 7/12/2011 5:01:00 PM

This is a wonderful face mask. It has a citrus scent that isn't overly offensive. You get used to it while it's on your face. The texture is so smooth and a little goes a long way. It doesn't burn or sting. I wouldn't say it gets rid of zits, by that I mean dry them out but it does leave your face feeling softer and brighter. It helps keep my skin from getting oily as fast. It does nothing for my blackheads but I haven't found anything that does. Bottom line: If you are looking for something to get rid of acne I wouldn't point you to this product. If you are looking for a mask to brighten your complexion soften your skin I would absolutely recommend this. I would love to try the other two masks from Formula 10.0.6. but I can't find them anywhere.

Sunscreen -Eucerin - Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion - Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen - 4.0 FL. OZ. 118mL
rated 5 of 5
HazyDayz 7/12/2011 12:11:00 PM

I feel this lotion doesn't get as much love as it should. It's a fairly light weight face lotion that goes on smoothly. It doesn't have a scent, a very sensitive nose might notice a slight sunscreen smell at first but once you put in on you don't smell a thing. It's not mattifying so it does have a shinier look. If you have oily skin you could do I as do and put a mattifying powder on top. What I love about this product is that it doesn't cause me to break out as I have acne prone skin. It's a good coverage sunscreen as well because I accidently tested that out. I missed a spot on my forehead and was in the sun for a few hours. Only in the spot I missed was I red yet my whole face was unburned, I burn easily. I use this product as both moisturizer and sunscreen and am able to use it daily. I have taken photos while wearing this lotion and didn't notice any flash back with my skin as some spf's do.

Treatments -E.L.F. - Mineral Blemish Kit
rated 5 of 5
HazyDayz 7/11/2011 9:39:00 PM

This product is my holy grail. I use the mineral blemish kit daily night and day. It helps calm down the redness of a zit as well as shrink it. It goes on sheer for fair skin. If you have darker skin you may have to blend it in a bit more. It doesn't dry out your skin or have a harsh smell since it contains sulfur. I don't have a problem with the little brush. It may be a little scratchy for some but I don't find it bothersome. It holds the powder on top rather then get swirled into the brush which helps you apply the powder to your blemish instead of losing the powder in the brush. Be sure to wash the brush often as it's coming in close contact to germs. The container is nice too. The top can double as a mirror if you are in a pinch.

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Mineral Booster
rated 1 of 5
HazyDayz 7/11/2011 5:56:00 PM

This review is for the original sheer Mineral Booster. It always disappoints me when I see positive reviews on this product because it makes me wonder why mine is different. When I used this product I started noticing how sunburned my face looked. I didn't use a lot just a light buffing of booster with my kabuki. But everytime I looked pinkish red. Finally I took a paper towel to wipe it off and noticed that even on the paper towel the color was a pinkish red. I then wiped just booster on the back of my hand and sure enough it was that same sunburned color. That color is not flattering when you are light in color. Besides the horrible color it does nothing to boost up your makeup or mattify your face. I found it to be an unnecessary step with an unnecessary color.

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Cream Eyeliner - All Colors
rated 4 of 5
HazyDayz 7/11/2011 5:34:00 PM

I have 5 colors which I've had for quite a few months. Up till now I haven't found much use for them. At first the consistancy is cream like where you could use a stiff brush to pick up the product. I didn't feel it was great for lining your top lids as it took a lot of work. Unfortunately the packaging is not air tight so it dries out. I have one that as it dried it pulled away from the sides and fell out. I finally decided to try out Makeup Geek Marlena's tip of using a liner pencil to dip into the cream liner and apply to your waterline. When I dip the pencil in, the liner is rather flakey so I have to press it on with my fingers. However, when I applied it to my waterline it lasted for more then 7 hours even thru a bit of watery eyes. Bottom line: If yours is a little dry use a spare eyeliner pencil to dip in and apply to your waterline. Still don't love these for top lining. I would give these cream liners a 3.5 but since the price is amazing I generously rounded up to 4.
