Grass has a fantastic scent - it's like a nice, clean, refreshing, shot of wheat grass in the morning. The formula is great - it's a wonderful consistency that's non-drying. It wakes me up and it sells up my whole bathroom with grassy goodness. Another Lush hit!
I purchased this in the jar version; I don't know if the formula is different, but I had a drastically different experience with this moisturizer than all of the other reviewers. I really didn't like the feeling of this product on my skin - it didn't sink in well or provide much hydration. That being said, it didn't break me out or irritate my skin. It didn't worsen my complexion but did nothing to improve it.
Dream Cream is absolutely fantastic! It has a perfect consistency which isn't too heavy, but absorbs into the skin like a...well, a dream! It is a godsend during these brutal Chicago winters; it keeps my skin so perfectly moisturized that I have no signs of dryness at all. The sent is typical of LUSH products - light, natural, and pleasant.. It's a miracle product. Highly recommend!
This is definitely to be used for very dry skin, like the package indicates. It's a heavy moisture that I find to be very nourishing in the winter months. I can't use this in the summer because it's so thick, but in the winter time it's great. You don't have to over load on it because a little bit will go a long way. If you use to much, it takes a long time to sink into your skin. But I've always loved Nivea products, and this is another top-notch lotion from them.
Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color

I really like this all over face color - although I don't use it all over. I think warmth is a beautiful color when it's used just as a bronzer; for me, its way too much to be used all over. I got this in the starter kit, and I don't think I'll ever even need to buy another one because a little goes a long way with this product! The color can be very natural, but it's so build-able that you can keep layering it for a more dramatic look. It applies beautifully and it does give a really nice glow to your face when it's applied correctly.
I bought this in the winter months to help sooth my chapped lips. This scrub is very minty and it tastes good, and it did leave my lips feeling soft. I wouldn't purchase again, because I think it's sort of a novelty products and by no means a staple. It does nothing that exfoliating with a washcloth can't do. Also, it's kind of messy and the sugar crumbs get everywhere. I'll stick to just slicking on some chapstick.
Gels/Soaps -Dove - Exfoliating Moisturizing Bodywash
HauteHarlequin 8/2/2012 10:29:00 AM
HG body wash! I use this in the summer and in the winter, and it does a phenomenal job of exfoliating my skin and leaving it moisturized in the extremes of both seasons. It does a great job of cleaning my skin. I struggle with a little bit of body acne (I'm a runner...I sweat A LOT!) and since using this, it's virtually disappeared completely. It exfoliates gently but effectively & gets all the dead skin and dirt out of my skin and pores. It smells awesome - gentle and clean. My skin also gets very dry, and it does a great job of sloughing off all the dead skin and moisturizing. On top of all of that, it's a great value - I use this in the shower every single day, and the bottle lasts me for months. It's really a perfect product!
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Advantage 3 in 1 Foaming Acne Wash
HauteHarlequin 8/2/2012 10:21:00 AM
I'm extremely shocked by the ratings! I love this cleanser. In fact, it's replaced my 60 dollar cleanser I purchased from my esthetician! It works really well at cleaning my skin, and it can be drying - but so can all acne washes. I've actually found this to be less irritating than most acne cleansers. It's a little drying but it's is nothing that a good moisturizer can't fix. I use this morning and night, and it's worked really well to keep my skin clean and my acne under control. I will add that I don't follow this with any other acne control treatment; I have found that it is too much for my skin to pile on product after product. With this cleanser especially, my skin doesn't like it if I put any sort of acne control creams on top of it. But I'm really happy with it, and I think that it does a really good job on it's own.
This blush is PERFECT. It's such a beautiful color that looks so natural and is so build-able. It has awesome staying power, it's so versatile and perfect for everyday or night. I've found the applicator it works with to work well, but it takes a little getting used to. Also, the packaging is adorable!
This mask feels really soothing when you apply it, but that's about where the positives end. My esthetician suggested I buy this after my skin was left dry and overworked from treatments, and it was the biggest waste of money. I applied it over and over again and it did nothing to "lock in moisture" or sooth my skin. I liked the gel consistency and it was easy to use, but it did nothing it was supposed to.
I really love this product. It's the best exfoliant I have ever used! I use this twice a week and it always leaves my skin baby soft and really helps to keep my pores unclogged. The grains are so fine, the smell is so relaxing, and it feels like a luxurious facial every time I use it. It's expensive, but you don't have to use a lot at a time so it will last you quite awhile. I agree with a previous reviewer in saying that it is the only product from bio elements that is really worth buying.
Moisturizers -Physician's Choice - PCA Skin phaze17 rebalance

I was told to buy this by an esthetician after a series of acne facials. I've gone through two of these moisturizers, and after giving it the benefit of the doubt for four plus months, I've decided it's not for me. It's not horrible, but it sure isn't fantastic either. I was directed to use this at night - after an acne was and acne treatments to moisturize my combination skin and keep the redness down. It doesn't moisturize very well and often left my skin with a waxy sort of finish in the morning. I could feel it washing off with my morning cleanser, which lead me to believe that it wasn't really absorbing into my skin. It didn't feel like my skin was absorbing any sort of moisture from it, and it still left my skin feeling dry and tight no matter how much I put on. Like other reviewers, I did experience some burning in my eyes when applying it. Even when avoiding my eye area, my eyes would still water and burn. I didn't feel that it was nourishing at all; I've had extraction facials and microdermabrasion done professionally and this moisturizer did nothing to help calm my skin after those procedures, I can't imagine how it would be beneficial after a more intense procedure like a chemical peel. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because I don't think that it contributed to breaking me out any further. Other than that, it's a pretty useless moisturizer that is not at all worth the price.
Moisturizers -Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 15
HauteHarlequin 8/2/2012 8:23:00 AM
I bought this moisturizer a few months ago and stopped using it because I wasn't crazy about it. I thought it was very heavy and was making me breakout, like many of the reviews on here. I came back to this moisturizer after my skin was severely dry and redden from a very abrasive facial and a slew of very harsh anti-acne products. My face was irritated and flaky; I was desperate for anything to help calm my skin. So after raiding my beauty stash, I decided to give this another shot.I may have been using too much before; all you need is a small amount of this product because a little goes a long way to moisturize and calm. After using this in the morning for a few days, my skin was calmed and moisturized. I've been using about a pea sized amount in the morning during this outrageously hot and humid summer in the midwest & haven't found it to be too heavy. A few weeks ago, I had a sun-screen slip up and after a sun burn left me red and flaky - this did a fantastic job of calming my skin. For those who are griping about the smell - it's not chemically at all. I'm not sure what is going on with your noses; this moisturizer has a very floral-y herbal smell, which I find to be pretty soothing and calming on its own. It's a little pricey in terms of a drug store moisturizer, but if you are looking for a good moisturizer to calm irritated skin it is definitely worth it.
The smell is awesome - it's like a light floral which lasts long after you're out of the shower. My hair gets super tangled in the shower, but this conditioner takes care of that completely. My hair can get really dry, and this nourishes my hair so that it looks shiny and healthy. I absolutely love this condition, and all though it's really pricey - it's one of those few products that are actually worth the high price tag.
This is the Cadillac of shampoos. I leaves my color treated, thick, hair feeling so soft and healthy. The smell is fantastic and it stays around long after you're out of the shower. It leaves my hair so clean and silky smooth. The price tag is steep, but I do believe it's worth the extra money.
