Loose Powders -Bobbi Brown - Retouching Powder

These new powders from Bobbi Brown are great! I always have trouble getting blush to look completely blended out, filled in, and natural. Now that I've discovered these powders, I apply whatever blush I want, and then take a small floppy soft blush brush (the one I use that is perfect is Hakuhodo but I forget the #), and pounce and sweep some of the retouching powder over my cheeks and everything looks wonderfully blended and matte (not chalky or fake). These powders are my new favorite makeup item that I can't live without. The colors I have are Pink and Rose. I haven't tried the other colors so I don't know how they are.

Lipstick -MAC - Ruffian Gold

This looks scary gold in the tube but applies suprisingly sheer. It tends to warm up and brighten your lips if you have pink pigmented lips like I do. I like the glitteriness of this lipstick, too, not so much frost but a younger looking glitter/shimmer which is what I prefer.

Love this! Creamy coconut and pineapple along with vanilla. Very upbeat and comforting. Maybe a tad too sweet but I am enjoying this one.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum

I LOVED this serum for about 6 weeks and then I started noticing that my skin was changing in a bad way. I started noticing a crease forming on my upper cheek area as well as a general flattening of my cheeks. I get regular Sculptra treatments to increase the volume in my aging cheeks (42 yrs. old) and just had one 6 months ago. They usually last me about 18 months to 2 years. But after using this serum, my cheeks flattened out as if I had zero Sculptra in them, as if the serum broke it apart or something. It was very very strange. So I returned it and also made an appointment for more Sculptra. It has been about another 6 weeks since I stopped using the serum, but my skin still has not returned to its former state....I still have the crease in my cheek and my skin texture looks uneven overall. So disappointed. I would not have minded no results, but to have negative results is so disheartening, especially since it seems like it is permanent. I will never go near another Retinol product ever again. I have used Paula's products for years with great results, but this one was horrible for me. I just wanted to let everyone know in case anyone else has a similar reaction.

This is a funny blush. It is a beautiful beautiful color but sometimes it goes on too chalky and sometimes it goes on darker. I can't figure out why. It seems to go on my skin unevenly. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this trouble. I think if it were a Sheertone, I would love it. I love all the Sheertone textures and colors. Immortal Flower is difficult to work with for me.

This is the most unusually shaped brush I have ever tried...and yet it seems to fit my cheeks perfectly and the bristles deposit blush (I use this brush for blush) evenly and beautifully. Got it free from a Sephora promotion. Great brush!

The lightest shade is too dark for my fair (although not very fair) skin. I found the texture to be very difficult to work with-difficult to spread around evenly and it emphasized my pores a lot! I was sooooooooooooooo disappointed since I thought maybe she would have gotten it right by now but I still don't like any of her foundations! Love her skincare though.

I love this because it blends in with my already pinkish pigmented lips to create a pretty melon kind of shade. It looks creamy in the tube but applies rather sheer and is lighter than Lure-X which always ended up being too yellow for me.

Had to go get this based on all of the positive reviews! I tested it on my hand and thought "hmmm, it's okay, nothing too unique about this color" but I bought it anyhow. Then I tried it at home on my lips and thought, "hmmm, it's okay,nothing too unique about this color". Why don't I have better restraint in the stores????? It's pretty but looks like any old shimmery pink lip color to me. And this one seems a bit thicker than some of the other Glossimers. It doesn't glide as well over my lips.

Liquid -Paula's Choice - Best Face Forward Foundation SPF 25

I love this foundation! It's really a surprise because as you spread it around, it doesn't seem like it's covering much at all and seems very very thin. But a few seconds later, your skin appears more even and matte and very polished looking without a heavy layer of foundation. The lightest shade, bisque, should be a tiny bit lighter with less peach but it works fine. Maybe Paula will fine tune the colors.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Cute [DISCONTINUED]

Way too light for me! I couldn't see it at all (I'm an LLL). Very disappointed but love the sheertone blushes overall. Great texture just wish Cute was a little deeper.

Looks pretty when applied lightly (on me) but has a tendency to be rather opaque and a bit too peachy. I was hoping for something a bit more sheer so that the pink of my lips would show through. I like it but it's not my favorite and I have to work too hard to get it to look good on me. Oh well. Next....

This is my favorite JT so far! It is a light brown/taupe with a touch of pink and tiny tiny gold sparkles. The gold doesn't show up at all but the color is beautiful on anyhow. The scent is raspberry. It is just simply subtle and beautiful.

Blush -LORAC - Powder Blush in Red

I bought this because of the Exhibit A craze and knew that I probably couldn't pull of Exhibit A. Lorac's Red is slightly more salmon orangey/red than the bright orangey/red of Exhibit A. I have to use it very sparingly and blend very well but it gives a nice coral/reddish glow that looks very natural.

Lip Gloss -Make Up For Ever - Lipgloss

I just got three of these: Gold, Pink, and Peach (I forget the #'s). Two are going back. I just don't think this gloss is all that great! I was hoping for a bit more shine. This one is creamy but you have to put a lot on to get a good shine. Then it seems to sink into the lips rather quickly and leaves a soft lipstick type of effect. Not what I was looking for. I love shine. Very disappointed. I'm keeping Peach because I feel too guilty returning all three.
