I bought a bottle of this last week at half the price from a duty free shop. The price at Sephora is a little too steep for me. My opinions for Fresh Laundry is that it smells more soapy..sort of like a fresh out of the shower type of scent. For a scent that is supposed to capture the just out the dryer clean clothes scent,i will say Warm Cotton fits that category. But still,i think FL is a unique scent and i combined it with my WC body souffle and i smell really clean and fresh. :-)
I bought this a few days ago and just tried it out earlier. Maybe its too early for me to do a review but here's what i think about this product - Amazing! My dark circles are really bad .I got mine in Dark Bisque and i use this together with my foundation stick (i'm using Warm Honey). I'm very pleased to say it really does work like magic ;-) Just remember to apply some eye cream prior to using this and set it with powder after applying both the corrector and concealer. I have read that some people only use this alone and they get great results but for me,i find it works better when combined with the concealer or the foundation stick. Hope this helps and yes,i will buy it again.
I waited for quite some time before i actually decided to write a review for this. First and foremost,i really hate the scent of this.It smells like one of those mosquito repellent coils. As to whether it holds my hairstyle..nope. I find myself using more than i needed to. Mmm..i guess i'm gonna stick to my PM hairspray.
Pressed Powders -Christian Dior - Diorskin Pressed Powder
HanLuna 2/19/2013 11:22:00 PM
I have always wanted to try something from Dior so this pressed powder was my first purchase. I got mine in the darkest shade. I have medium slightly tanned skin. The packaging is gorgeous..a glossy dark blue and the CD logo just looks really cool. It comes in a velvet pouch and a thin puff is also included. I find the puff quite flimsy but it just looks cute.As for the performance,i have used this as a setting powder after i use my Bobbi Brown stick and also for touch ups when im outside. No problems whatsoever. I think the only downside is the price but then again its Christian Dior. I will probably repurchase this. :-)
I received a 50ml size of this as a christmas gift a few years ago.My first impression was that it reminds me of Happy For Men by Clinique. I have got compliments from a friend asking me what i wore. Fast forward years later,i bought myself a gift set of this perfume with a bigger bottle, a shower gel and a pouch. Still love the scent till today and i also love the shower gel. It smells really good!
I got this in a set along with the body scrub, shower cream, body butter and a shower puff. All the products are scented with the Mist You Madly scent as stated on the packaging. My thoughts on this body spray? It smells really masculine which is kind of odd as the bottle indicated that its '' flirty floral''. With that being said,i think its pretty unique and i quite like it. Quite refreshing actually. Will i buy it again? Maybe..i have yet to try out the other body sprays from S&G. :-)
First of all,i will say yes i will buy this again.I have tried the Breakfast Scrub as well as the Scrub Em And Leave Em. The former smells like maple syrup and looks like a porridge (somewhat..lol) and not too bad whereas the latter is a salt based scrub which i find can be a little too harsh. I chose TSOYL as my personal fave because it smells lovely and the scrubbing particles are neither too harsh or too fine. I save the salt based scrub for once or maybe twice a month. This is a fantastic body scrub in my opinion and one of the best from Soap & Glory. Go get it :-)
I was at Sephora a few weeks ago and passed by the S&G section. I saw a tester for the breakfast scrub and thought it sounds interesting. I was instantly in love at first sight with it...the maple syrup smells really awesome. I find this best to use on slightly damp skin. I follow up with their Foam Call body wash which is also great. :-)
The only brush that i have ever bought from EL was the old concealer brush. I thought it was a really good brush but i hate the handle. The re-designed brushes looks 10x better with the navy blue wooden handle and gold ferrule. I purchased the powder brush last year and so far i think its pretty good. Not too much shedding. Overall,i really like it. :-)
I received this edp as a gift not too long ago. My initial thoughts about this edp when i first tried it on is that it has a light floral and very grassy scent. I used it several times and then stopped for awhile as i get bored of it. Last night, however,i decided to give PWL another go and after a while,i thought it smells like Oceanus from the Body Shop! Strange..maybe its just me i guess. But last night's experience somehow changed my opinion on PWL.I think i really love it. P.S- Oceanus was one of my fave scent although sadly, it has been discontinued. :-(
Ok so i don't own this fragrance but i have the Warm Cotton body souffle. I have tested this at Sephora and i kind of like it. I got the Body Souffle instead and i like it on its own but i believe if i paired it with this EDP,it will be even better. I do agree this is definitely not for everyone and it can put some people off but i honestly love this.
This is my very first Jo Malone cologne that i purchased not too long ago. I was recommended several different types of scents by the SA and i finally decided on two....the Grapefruit and the other one is a Lemony scent (i don't remember the name). I thought the lemon was a little too strong and the drydown smelt like lemon cough drops. The grapefruit started off quite citrusy but ended up smelling really really good. I agree with some reviews below that it kind of smells like potpourri and masculine.I got the 30ml bottle first just to try it out and hopefully return in the future to get the bigger one. But so far i'm really loving it so much and i feel so fresh and vibrant whenever i have this on. :-)
I love Pleasures for Women but this one seems kind of boring to me. Its not overpowering or anything like that but just not interesting enough.Oh well
Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Freeze and Shine Spray
HanLuna 7/28/2012 5:46:00 PM
I have tried quite a number of hairsprays over the years from the aerosol to non aerosol ones. Freeze and Shine has got to be THE best i've used so far...hands down. I mainly do a faux hawk and it holds the style in place perfectly. It even lasts till the next day...i mean i don't wash my hair before going to bed and i woke up and my hair still looks pretty good . Smells amazing too...reminds me of honeydew melon. Same formula and does a great job just as i remember using it ages ago. If i have to recommend a good non aerosol hairspray,it will be Paul Mitchell's Freeze And Shine. Try it and you will love itas much as i do.
Ok i've heard so much about this ''controversial'' scent for quite some time and i've yet to try it.But last week, i finally got a bottle. I was surprised at how cheap this is. I am aware this is a very old school scent and mainly appeals to the older generations particularly the old ladies. But being in my late 20s,i was really curious as to how this smells like and why it is still around despite all the negative reviews everywhere. It smells really overpowering and very spicy. I sprayed it on my wrist and even after washing it with soap,i can still smell it though not as strong. I like the bottle very much..probably one of the few reasons i decided to get it. Another reason is that i remembered reading a book on how Ms Lauder smashed a bottle of YD at Galleries Lafayette in Paris after the owner refused to let Ms Lauder sell YD in the store. I agree with most people this is not for everyone. But i like it personally and i occasionally spritzed a little of this after taking a bath and relaxing after a long hard day.
