It does thicken, holds a curl, but by 2 hours in, it starts to transfer, and then it is smudge city galore. Sorry, it just does not do it for me.

Lipstick -Revlon - Rose Velvet

Am NC25-30, Chinese, this lipstick is just the perfect natural lip color for office and casual days. However, the color is not exactly unique, MAC's Twig comes close and Catrice's Ultimate color 020 (Maroon) is almost spot on. Texture wise it really couldn't be more perfect for me. Creamy enough but still stay on for hours. Will def rebuy.

This is a classic light airy floral scent, not overly sweet, but it is not exactly very unique, nor long lasting. I do like this as it is very easy to wear. I have the rollerball version as I like to take this with me travelling.

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - L'Imperatrice Eau de Toilette

This is to me a very girly, sweet, flora, candyish but in an adult-way scent. I do love it mainly for day time / office time wear, more spring/summer than autumn/winter. The packaging is very simple, in a way rather understated when I think of the scent. I did not give a 5 because of one thing, due to the heavy sweetness in this, I can not wear this everyday for weeks in a row. It gets too sickly after a few days, so I have to switch to something else to balance my nose again (I use Tom Ford's Lavender Palm for example) for a few days. After a break, when I come back to L'Imperatrice, it is always a nice welcome, like seeing a good old friend again.

Fragrances -Tom Ford - Black Orchid EDP

For the longest time, I could not decide whether I liked or not Black Orchid. This perfume is STRONG, no more than 1 spray please. The first word that came into my mind (after Woaaaa!) is gourmand. It reminds me (in a nice way) of cooked coconut milk with chilis, kafir lime leaves, but at the same time a really strong bergamot in it, it is so hard to describe. I love it becos it is a VERY sexy scent, it makes me think of purple velvet curtains and a dark plush room with deep leather sofas and lots of sex in the air.... sorry I know I am starting to sound deviant here, it is just the way this perfume messes with my mind. On the other hand, the scent does not really mellow down at all, the whole time it is attacking my senses, distracting me, and occasionally I catch myself just gasping for fresh air. So I go into this love hate relationship with it. At the end, I concluded to myself, Black Orchid is like that very sexy bad bad boy I want so bad, but at the same time, I know it is bad for me, and maybe not even right for me, but heck I STILL want it.

Fragrances -Tom Ford - Lavender Palm

I love the opening, such a fresh vibrant big flora lavender bouquet, Iike the other reviewers, I just wish it would stay longer. I think the scent dries down very quickly, in 3 or less hours, the fresh lavender is gone, and you can get very powdery scent. 5 hrs later, it is almost non existent. I still like this perfume and continue to use it, but will not rebuy it.

This thing creases. If I apply a thin layer, the color is too faint, but if I apply a second or third (in tiny amounts too) layer, and set with powder eyeshadow, it still creases. Some of the colors have glitter too, and not small particles, like very noticeble chunky bits. So no, even though cheap, it is a regret buy. I will give it to my friend's little girls for playing makeup.

It does a good job to remove makeup in general. With waterproof mascara, I did have to hold a soaked cotton pad over my eyes for over half a minute before the stuff comes off. I like that it is fragrance free and it did not leave any sticky feeling/residue. When I rinse my face with water, I can feel that my skin was a bit soapy, but it did rinse off quite quickly. Will rebuy.

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover

This does remove non waterproof makeup very fast, just one swipe and it is gone. But I do wear waterproof mascara daily, I have to hold the pad (generously soaked) against my eye for 10 to 15 seconds, and then gently rub the lashes to get the stuff off. It is a good remover, but expensive. It did not sting my eyes. But I won't be re-buying this. The Clinique Take the day off one (2 phase) does as well, and is cheaper.

I agree this is a hit or miss. I Love this color becos it is really unique, and it always sort of grab attention/second looks. My hubby does not like it, said it reminded him of boggy, but heck, I don't care. I know what he means about it, and in some way, it does sometime reminds me of other disgusting things, but then, it also reminds me of olives, autumns, green lily ponds, frogs...etc, so I still love this. CG polishes wears very well on me, lasts me at least 5 days without chipping, on my toes they go solid over two weeks.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler

I was using the ELF studio one before I bought the Shu. It did curl my lashes, but I had to crimp quite long (3 to 5 secs) and 3 to 4 times before my lashes (each side) are properly curled. It did not perform exceptionally better then the ELF one, so I was rather disappointed considering the price I paid. I was more like expecting just 1 crimp and shorter hold. I have quite a few curlers, and the Shu design is really nothing special, in fact you can find lots of similar other brands with same design, and works the same.

it does moisturize n taste ok. No werid residue left over like the body shop ones. I like them, but they aren't my favourite (Carmex), still for variety I would rebuy them.

Very good tinted lip balm with a good color Pay off. A bit expansive, n the balm stick is not firmly secured on the twister pin. Packaging could Be improved.

If u have short lashes I wud not recommend this. The first step does separate n define the lashes well but it does not add a lot of volume. The second step deposits quite a lot more product, on short lashes, like my lower one, it smudges n smears like crazy. On medium lashes like my upper one, it pumps up the volume really nicely, but I do have to use a comb to further separate the lashes. If u got super long lashes, I can imagine the second step to get really clumpy for u. However, u can wipe some of the product off on a tissue before applying, n get good results from it. Of cos that means some product is wasted. But I really don't think the wastage would be very high with the tissue blotting, so in general I do think that this is a very good mascara for adding volume to lashes.

Eyeliner -Essence - Gel Eyeliner

A seriously good black (midnight in paris) gel eyeliner. Dries quickly on the lid, does not smudge and applies very smoothly. Compared to WNW and Physician Formula's gel liner, Essence's is a lot softer and more gel like. IT is very pigmented, and for the price, a big bang for the buck.
