Palettes -Urban Decay - Get Baked Palette [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5

I had to get this palette shipped to a friend in the US and have her ship it to me because UD still doesn't do shipping outside if US from their direct website, which is a shame. I like the colours, but I do notice quite a bit of fallout when I use them. Or the glitter gets everywhere if I'm not REALLY careful. Flipside, I think, could be a bit more pigmented so it can compete with the other colours. Otherwise the colours are gorgeous. Even if it wasn't D/C'd, I don't think I'd purchase it again because I can get UD's other brown shades in the Naked palettes and get the strong coloured ones separately without a hassle.

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (was SS197)

I really love this brush! Puts on my makeup much better than I've accomplished with other brushes. I do notice a bit of skin aggravation with my rosacea, but it's minor.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 3 of 5

I really love this foundation because I think it has good coverage, but I have issues with keeping it ON. Plus one has to be careful because if you put to much on it looks REALLY cakey. However for cameras or looking at me at a distance it looks pretty good... which is probably the intended way it should be used. I'll try to review this at a later date with better skin and trying out different primers. It's a bit pricy, though.

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Undercover Pot
rated 1 of 5

I'm returning this product as soon as I get the chance. Maybe I got a bad one, but honestly one side is VERY oily and I find it slips off at the first chance it gets, plus it really accentuates my milia under my eye. The other half is almost rock hard and I can barely use it. I was mostly keeping it for the LM powder underneath, but really I should just invest in a proper size and get my money back for this product. It didn't really conceal most of my problem issues and was difficult to use.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
rated 2 of 5

Made my face feel really tight a lot of the time, plus I think I may have broken out using it (only a couple of pimples, but still). I did feel like my make-up stayed on better, but it wasn't worth it.

Crème -Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation

I enjoy using this foundation, and consider it my go-to. If I use it without a primer I feel it slides off my face more, however. I also wish that it had more coverage, as I feel my rosacea is never completely gone and I cannot really apply blush without looking weird. I'll review this again when I've worked more at clearing up my skin and see if it makes a difference.

Lipstick -NARS - Jungle Red
rated 4 of 5

Bought this for a birthday party and really loved the colour. I also normally don't like lipsticks, but it was this one by NARS that kind of turned me into an amateur lipstick junkie. :) I thought it had good staying power, as well, for all that I'm not that well versed in wearing lipstick "properly". I do wish the lipstick was cheaper, but I understand there are far pricier brands out there. Would purchase again.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
rated 4 of 5

I really like this product. I'm normally very picky with lip balms, and for the past 4-5 years I've been exlusively using Carmex. I initially only tried this because it came with the Sephora birthday package, and I'm glad I tried it out. It's moisturizing but doesn't feel greasy, although I think I need to apply it a BIT more often than the Carmex. However I think I can handle that w/ the added SPF, which is something that I was not using at all previously. Right now I'm tentatively placing this on a re-purchase list, because I'm not entirely sure it's worth the price. We'll see, though. 10/26: I repurchased this in the full size. The finish of the packaging I don't 100% like because I hate the way my nails feel against it. LOL. But there is definitely a lot of product and I am enjoying it so far. :) I just wish it was a bit more moisturizing... but otherwise it's a great product!

Moisturizers -Avene - Antirougeurs Jour SPF 20 (2012 formulation)
rated 2 of 5
Gunmetal21 6/18/2012 4:03:00 PM

This is for the Avene Antirougeurs Jour Redness-relief Mosiurizing Protection Emulsion w/ SPF 20. I found it did moisturize my face, but it also felt like it sat on my face in a couple of places, especially where I had "normal" skin (not dry or oily). The green tint I feel did help a little with my redness, which is all over my face. However this broke me out and clogged up my pores everywhere. :( Will not re-purchase.
