Crème -Cover Girl - Simply Ageless
GreenWoman 2/14/2012 1:10:00 PM
This is a pretty good foundation for me. I have some fine lines but was more concerned with finding good coverage that wouldn't leave my complexion "dotted" by sitting in my giant pores. (Because of this, I normally don't wear anything heavier than tinted moisturizer.) Simply Ageless gives me minimal pore dots but I can live with that since a light dusting of powder camouflages them. The coverage is buildable and it only dries slightly powdery which is nice. I'd prefer it to be even creamier for my super-dry skin though. (Huge pores in super-dry skin- lucky me, huh?) WARNING: The shades are waaaay off from other CG products I've used. I wear Classic Ivory in almost everything from them. With SA I had to go up to Classic Beige, some four shades darker. So if you're going to try this, err on the darker side and purchase from a store that will happily take returns!

Crème -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Compact Makeup SPF 55 Helioplex
GreenWoman 2/14/2012 12:57:00 PM
I love the Healthy Skin Enhancer (tinted moisturizer) but currently need a bit more coverage so I thought this would be great- so wrong. The texture of the product was inconsistent and grainy. It turned to powder almost imediately so it was impossible to blend or build coverage. I tried sponge and my fingers with zero success.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment
GreenWoman 1/17/2012 12:53:00 PM
An absolute staple! The greatest thing ever for my perpetually dry skin. I use it all over my face, including lips and eye area, and my skin is so comfy! Its lack of fragrance is a HUGE bonus.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes~Waterproof
GreenWoman 12/23/2011 2:19:00 PM
My lashes are short, thinnish and fairly straight. I could see a difference after two coats of Voluminous False Fiber, but added then added a third and WOW! My lashes were *very* noticably longer. (I had to wait for the mascara to dry before opening my eyes all the way, otherwise they smudged on my browbone- how awesome is that??) The fibers actually stick out at the same angle as the lash they're on, so no spidery weirdness like the other fiber mascaras I've tried- this is what makes or breaks a fiber mascara for me. It actually looked a lot more natural than some mascaras that aren't supposed to look like falsies. I didn't see a difference in thickness, but I'm going to experiment with layering over my CG LashBlast to enhance that. Separation was good, but I still used a lash comb, as I'm obsessive about it. The formula is sort of dry, so there were some tiny flakes I didn't care for, but combing took care of that. All in all, this is the only fiber mascara I've ever liked and I'll definitely use it for higher-impact looks!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
GreenWoman 11/26/2011 9:03:00 PM
These are just what I expected- sheer, moisturizing color balms. That's a positive though! I don't think there are enough of this sort of product amongst drugstore brands. The color is buildable and goes on smoothly and evenly. They have coverage similar to Clinique Almost Lipstick, but they feel creamier. My only real complaint is the packaging- it's hard to get a good grip on the base to pull off the cap. I've tried Pink Truffle and Fig Jam but will be trying more.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Holiday Angel Lip Shine
GreenWoman 10/13/2011 11:51:00 PM
This has a very yummy (though light) angel food cake scent. It's not too rich or sweet like some cake scents. The gloss has a hint of white shimmer but not enough to make it frosty or unflattering IMO. I like this better than Tutti Dolci's Angel Food Cake gloss since the shimmer is far more subtle and the scent is more noticable.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Holiday Spice and Everything Nice Lip Shine
GreenWoman 10/13/2011 11:49:00 PM
I love both the 3in1 and lipgloss. To me it smells like cranberry, orange and a hint of apple with light spices. It really does remind me of dried fruits and spices simmering on the stove to scent your house for the holidays! The sheer red shimmer is very pretty and festive to wear, without being too bright or bold.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Peppermint Bark Lip Shine
GreenWoman 10/13/2011 11:42:00 PM
This has a really nice peppermint chocolate scent and gives a pretty, sheer red sheen and a hint of sparkle. Like most minty glosses, it feels very cool on your lips. Moisturizes well too, like all the other Philosophy lip shines I've tried.

Candles -Bath and Body Works - Marshmallow Fireside
GreenWoman 10/6/2011 2:34:00 PM
I have this in the room spray and it is TDF! One of my favorite scents ever. I'd wear this if it came in body products. If you've smelled BBW/Slatkin Fireside, you'll recognize some of the wood notes in this. These are perfectly balanced with the marshmallow note. It is a cozy, sweet gourmand scent that doesn't smell overy girly but still lacks the "men's cologne" aspect of Fireside. I've never smelled a blend like this anywhere else.

Lotions/ Creams -Victoria's Secret - Sugarpop Body Drink Lotion
GreenWoman 9/23/2011 6:20:00 PM
I'd describe this as candy-fruity. The closest I can describe it is blue raspbery and cotton candy. It has an interesting "coolness" to it- it makes my nose feel the way it does when I sniff cold air. I think there might be a touch of musk but it doesn't explode like most musk notes do on me. As a sucker for color and packaging, I love the blue shade of this scent line:-) However, the bottles of this whole line are just too big and bulky. (And the cap to the body mist cracked right away and now won't stay on.)

Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Almond Cocoa
GreenWoman 9/13/2011 12:33:00 PM
Almond Cocoa is a sheer gloss in a lovely brown tint with warm shimmer. It is very close to being a sheer version of Liplicious Brown Sugar but a tad cooler- more of a brown than a bronze. Because it's so sheer, it's a wonderful ylbb shade and the shimmer is barely noticeable on the lips. The scent/flavor is great too. It smells like true hot chocolate at first, then the almond hits. Also, though totally irrelevent, the little cup pictured on the tube is totally squee.

Skincare - Face -Mary Kay - Extra Emollient Night Cream
GreenWoman 9/13/2011 12:25:00 PM
I received a sample of this as a swap extra and am SO grateful! It is amazing for my extremely dry face. A little goes a long way. The consistency is like a dry-oil version of Vaseline, if that makes any sense. It sinks in very quickly and leaves only a barely moist feel on the skin. This is the only product I've found in 10 years that actually makes my skin feel comfy. I took off one lippy for the heinous fragrance. Eau de Old Lady, srsly.

Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Summer Vanillas Coconut
GreenWoman 9/6/2011 7:57:00 PM
I've tested all the scents/flavors but only purchased the Apricot Vanilla. They're all nice and compliment the body products really well, but have more of a foody quality. For instance, the Apricot Vanilla smells like an apricot flavored candy rather than the fresher apricot of the lotion. The other standout for me was the Coconut Vanilla- a wonderful creamy, cakelike coconut. (The only reason I didn't buy it is because I already have Coconut Fizz that I'm happy with.) Lemon, Berry and Cherry are nice but not remarkable enough to purchase. The only drawback to these is their whitish shimmer which can look way heavy if you put on too much. All in all though, if these appear at an SAS for two bucks or so, I'd probably buy them all!

Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious in Deep Aqua
GreenWoman 6/30/2011 1:47:00 PM
This is a clear, aqua-tinted gloss. I love it because, like most of the non-shimmer Liplicious glosses, it is not to thick, not too thin, and a bit sticky. (I find that translates to better staying power though so it's a plus for me!) The flavor was hard for me to define but after reading another review below, I agree it smells of tangy guava- so yummy!

Fragrances -Bissy's Boutique - Raspberry Lemonade
GreenWoman 5/20/2011 1:49:00 PM
I have this scent in a jojoba-based roll-on. It's very strong but also VERY tart in the beginning. It gets sweeter as the raspberry balances the lemon though. The vanilla note comes out in the far dry-down and softens everything without totally changing the scent. I really like this scent! It's bright and juicy and happy :-)
