Fragrances -LUSH - Olive Branch Solid Perfume [DISCONTINUED]
Green4ngel 9/11/2009 1:56:00 PM
This fragrance smells sooo clean and sexy on me, my husband just loves it. It lasts a long time, when I put it on at night it is still there in the morning. I wish there was a body cream to layer though, I feel my other body lotions compete with the subtle fragrance. I would buy this over and over, this is my new every day fragrance.
Conditioner -L'Oreal - EverPure Moisture Conditioner
Green4ngel 4/13/2009 6:10:00 PM
I love this conditioner. The fragrance is refreshing and it leaves my hair smelling clean until I wash it again. I've been using this and the Moisture Shampoo for a week now and my hair has never felt softer. For me it's better than the Pureology line and anything else I've spent way too much money on.
I bought this because I pretty much got it free with CVS Extra Bucks. I have been coloring my hair for a long time and love the Pureology smoothing line but hate shelling out the big bucks. This shampoo, combined with the Moisture conditioner, makes my hair soooo soft. I really like the fragrance (the conditioner smells great too) and it lathers well. I cannot stop touching my hair. My hair is thick and on the coarse side so it never really feels that soft but this line turns it into silk, much more so than any of the more expensive brands I've ever used. I'm impressed!
This shampoo (combined with the conditioner) made my hair feel silky. However, the scent is very powerful, and even washing every other day it remains too strong for me. Since pregnancy I have become very sensitive to perfumes so it may just be my hypersensitivity, but I will not be able to keep using it. Good quality shampoo, just not for me.
My sister-in-law bought the trial size for me when I got pregnant. I just recently bought the full size product because I really feel like it makes my feet softer. Plus, I'm running around all day changing diapers, preparing dinner and cleaning, and the slight cooling sensation feels wonderful on tired feet. I think it is very overpriced, but sometimes you just have to splurge on yourself!
I tried this because I am a new mom and have little time to shower. My previous shampoos were not getting my hair clean enough to skip a day of washing, but when I used my husband's Head and Shoulders (the one for normal hair) I noticed my hair felt clean longer. I bought the Sensitive Care after reading reviews here. I think this is a wonderful shampoo. I don't have dandruff but my scalp is sometimes sensitive. With this shampoo I can skip a day, sometimes 2, and since it is a 2 in 1 I can be in and out of the shower in no time. The scent is pleasant too. I only gave it a 4 because the conditioning qualities of this shampoo/conditioner are not quite enough for my thick hair, although it does a better job than most combos.
Gels/Soaps -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Oil Body Wash
Green4ngel 4/7/2008 10:19:00 PM
I am almost finished with my second bottle of this. I found it when I was registering for my baby shower a few months ago, and it has made my skin so smooth. I also use it to shave. The scent is nothing remarkable, but it doesn't make me sick to my stomach which is really the only requirement I've had recently. It does lather much better on a pouf than a washcloth. My husband comments all the time on how soft my skin is. I do typically use a separate moisturizer after my shower (trying to prevent stretch marks), but the few times I have been too lazy to moisturize my skin hasn't felt dry or tight. I think it's a great product.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Exotic Nectars Moorea Passionfruit
Green4ngel 4/1/2008 2:10:00 PM
This is a tart fruity fragrance. Definitely a strong passionfruit scent at first, but the drydown on me is a subtle, almost woody, aroma. It's definitely worth the price, as it is 2/$8 on clearance now.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Exotic Nectars- Bali Orchid body mist
Green4ngel 4/1/2008 2:04:00 PM
This is actually a review for the roll on fragrance. The scent is really exotic, reminds me of a tropical vacation. The jasmine middle note is what dominates on my skin. The packaging for the roll on isn't great, the ball comes loose and leaks. For the price (they're on clearance 2/$8) this is a great deal.
Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Sublime
Green4ngel 4/1/2008 1:53:00 PM
This is a shimmery pink lip gloss with a limeade scent. It looks super bright in the tube but on my lips it is an iridescent light pink, not too bright at all. I usually wear clear or nude lip glosses because I have full lips and don't like a lot of color, and this gloss is subtle enough that I could wear daily. I wouldn't buy this again because I am a lip gloss junkie and like to try new things.
Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Cariberry
Green4ngel 4/1/2008 1:30:00 PM
This is a pretty color in the tube, but shows up absolutely clear on my lips. The scent is nice and the moisturizing properties are good, but I was hoping for a sheer color in this gloss.
Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Softlotion Nourishing Renewal Lotion
Green4ngel 3/28/2008 11:16:00 AM
I bought this lotion because I'm pregnant and having a hard time finding products that the scent doesn't make me ill. Even unscented products were bothering me. I took a chance because I love Johnson and Johnson products, and have been using the baby oil body wash for a while (it really makes my skin soft). This scent doesn't really bother me, but the lotion really smoothed my skin. Even my husband commented on how soft I have been, and I've had no problems with dry skin since I began using it. I think my skin tone has evened out too. I would buy again, definitely.
Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler
Green4ngel 9/17/2007 12:08:00 PM
This is an awesome eyelash curler. I've been using a heated curler from Sephora, which is a good idea in theory but takes way too long to get the desired curl. The great thing about the E.L.F. curler (aside from the price) is that the shape is a bit flatter than other curlers I've used. It actually gets all my lashes without bending them in at the ends. I'm very pleased with this purchase and wish that there were more retail stores selling this line.
Skincare - Body -Alba Botanica - Moisturizing Cream Shave
Green4ngel 7/17/2007 12:15:00 PM
I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. The price was better than I thought at my local grocery store ($4.79) and the results were actually amazing. My legs haven't felt this smooth since... well, I don't know if they ever have. It worked fine for intimate areas too. I bought the Aloe and Mint one, love the fragrance and the cooling sensation. It is so much more moisturizing than any of the shave gels I've used. The only thing I would change is the dispenser-a pump would be easier for me.
This is my new favorite plumper! I love that it doesn't sting and make my lips bright pink from irritation. The color is a beautiful sheer pink, but doesn't really show up on my lips. That's ok with me, I usually wear light shades anyway, but it might not be what some people are looking for. The plumping action is pretty good, and the "electric" feeling they describe on the packaging is actually pretty accurate. It's different than any other plumper, more like champagne bubbles. For me, the sensation lasts about 30 minutes. The actual gloss lasts a long time too. I will probably buy the other shades of this too. Try it, you have nothing to lose as Bath and Body Works guarantees all their products.
