Finally found my HG foundation!!!! I bought it in NC30 and its a really good match (goes on a bit orange but it does settle down after a short while) Its full coverage, it is a bit thick but I usually sheer it out with a moisturiser and apply it with a brush. For me, it works really well, I love the coverage and the texture. It lasts really well, I have combination skin, but if you have super oily skin you will have to blot or powder. I am usually a bit paler in the winter so it does look a teensy bit dark, but blending it well usually rectifies that issue. I haven't had any major oxidation issues so far, and it doesn't look orange on my face (as can be the case with some MAC foundations) Very pleased with this, and I'm glad I bought it. Will definitely repurchase in the future!
After trying the Revlon Colorstay foundation, I really wanted to try this one too. I bought it in 'Golden Beige' as my skin has yellow undertones, and it was a pretty good match (could do with being a bit more yellowy). Coverage is medium-full (buildable) and the foundation goes on really nicely with a brush. It contains some shimmer, some people may have an issue with it, but I thought it wasn't too bad. It looks really good on my skin and doesn't look cakey. The packaging is nice, the cap comes off a bit too easily at times so I'd love it if it was a bit more secure. I have combination skin, and the foundation lasted well but needed a touch up after a few hours. if you have really oily skin, you must powder it of course. Overall, very pleased with the foundation. Thumbs up!
I think this is one of the best long-wear drugstore foundations, its matte, long lasting and medium/full coverage depending on how you apply it. The reason I didnt give it an overall rating of 5 is because I couldnt find a shade that matched my skin perfectly. We dont get a wide colour range here in the UK so I had to make do with mixing two different shades (sand beige and early tan). I'd have preferred if it was more yellow toned, as I found it a bit beige for my skin but it wasnt too bad an issue. I really love this foundation, I love the matte finish, and some people complain about the smell but I have to say I quite like it. I have combination skin and I must say it last rather well, but you do have to powder your face on warm days. That is a cross us combination/oily skinned people must bear... As for the packaging, I would have loved it if it came with a pump, but I dont mind the open top too much. Overall I love this foundation, if you like a nice full coverage foundation that lasts pretty well, you cant go wrong with this one :-)
I am a huge fan of Sleek makeup & I absolutely love this blush. The three shades are highly pigmented, vibrant and of good quality. One is a nice peachy matte shade ideal for Spring/Summer, the other is a shimmery dusky/coral shade ideal for an evening/party look and the third is a beautiful coral matte shade suitable for any occasion really. The packaging is nice and sleek ^_^ and not to big and bulky- perfect for your makeup bag. Its also very affordable and you get your moneys worth! The blush stays on all day and I love it! No complaints at all.
Its not very easy to find a suitable BB cream for my skin tone and skin type, they're either too light & dewy or too pink and beige- (I'm a MAC NC30) Whilst this BB is not 100% spot-on either, it definitely works well enough for my skin. It has decent, medium/sheer coverage, and dries matte. The texture is a bit runny but its not an issue for me as I apply it with a brush and its very manageable. It has a nice mild fragrance to it, nothing overpowering. It makes my skin look healthy and fresh without looking like I'm wearing too much makeup and covers up any minor imperfections beautifully. I wasn't a huge fan of the original Garnier BB cream but this one is ideal for oily/combination skin and gets a massive thumbs-up from me. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who has fairly good skin. I'd give this product a 4.5 if I could but 4 will have to suffice! :-)
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

This is a great gel eyeliner, stays on all day without smudging (I have oily eyelids!) and easy to work with. It has smooth matte finish and does not wear off. The brush that comes with it might not be everyones cup of tea, but I love it personally and it works really well for me. The packaging is really nice too. I will definitely repurchase this product!
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Stain Balm - Crush

I LOVE this lip balm. Great packaging aside, its really smooth and durable and looks amazingly natural (on a medium skin tone) if applied sheerly and the perfect shade for an autumn/winter look. It has a minty scent which I personally love. Its reasonably priced in comparison to the Clinique Chubby sticks. It lasts quite a while too and has worked really well for me although if you have a paler skin-tone it might look a bit too intense. I will definitely purchase more shades ASAP.
Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
GoonerGirl 9/5/2012 12:03:00 PM
My skin is generally combination/oily but this winter it was terribly dry and my usual matte foundation made it look terrible. I purchased the Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Foundation because I'd heard it was very hydrating and great for dry skin. It certainly did the job, the texture was great and it was a light coverage foundation but certainly buildable. I got it in the shade 053 which matched my skin perfectly because it was yellow toned (which is a rareity in drugstore foundations). Im now a huge fan of BOURJOIS :D
Pressed Powders -Bourjois - Mineral Radiance Powder
GoonerGirl 8/28/2012 1:18:00 PM
I purchased the powder in shade 5 and realised it was a tad too dark for my skin...so I improvised!!! I use it as a contour/bronzer. Looks fab! Doesnt stay on a long time though, but that's because my skin can get rather oily. Cant really complain because I'm a big fan of Bourjois :)
