This shade makes my eyelids look bruised, bloodshot and tired (a side effect mentioned by several other reviewers), which worsens my dark circles. Also, the shade is an indefinite, dirty and muddy brown with only the vaguest hint of purple. Definitely unflattering. I will not repurchase.

Excellent shadow to be used as a base (it blends seemlessly with my fair skin) or just to even out my lids when I do not wear any other shadow. Will definitely buy again!

This shade is way too warm for my cool, fair skin, and it makes me look washed out (even though BB's web site describes it as a "cool" and "ashy" shade... NOT!). It makes my eyes look dirty and tired, as if bruised. Also, it makes my whole face glow orange-ish. I will not repurchase

As mentioned by countless other reviewers, this shade is not taupe; it is a warm, golden brown, which looks horrible on my cool skin. It makes my eyes look dirty and tired, as if bruised. Also, it makes my whole face glow orange-ish. Will definitely not buy again.

This eye shadow looks muddy on my fair skin and makes my face look dirty and washed out. Additionally, it is not a real slate, but a brown with purple undertones that make my eyes look tired and bloodshot. Also, it is a little hard to blend because it looks so dirty on my fair skin. I will not repurchase.
