Bronzers -NARS - Laguna

Love Laguna. Great colour. I use as bronzer but more often for contouring. Usual fab. NARS packaging. Big pan lasts. Colour lasts. Will definitely repurchase.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
GaddesdenGal 3/24/2013 5:51:00 PM
Beautiful colour, usual great NARS packaging, just doesn't last on me. I wish it did. No matter what foundation/powder combination I have, orgasm disappears after a couple of hours on me. Don't find this with other NARS blushes.

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Deep Cleansing Cream with Soap Bark and Chamomile
GaddesdenGal 3/24/2013 5:41:00 PM
I'm so disappointed with this cleanser. I had a trial size which I took away at Christmas, and on the strength of how radiant it made my skin look I ordered a full size tube. At £10 a tube it's not all that cheap. After 3 months I've nearly finished the tube but at the detriment to my pores. This cleanser makes my skin glow and feel lovely BUT it totally clogs my pores. I've spent so long trying to get clear radiant skin, and this just gave me back all the blackheads I'd eliminated. Might be nice for dry skin - very disappointed it didn't work out for me. I'd also agree with some of the reviews that say it feels like it leaves something on your skin, if I only rinsed with cold water it did feel like that but warm water and a wash cloth after this cleanser always left my skin feeling amazing.

Polishes -Essie - Muchi Muchi
GaddesdenGal 1/7/2013 5:24:00 PM
I liked this nail polish. The colour is so pretty in the bottle and I wasn't at all dissapointed on application it was exactly what I wanted, a sheer pretty pink. It does take forever to dry, with that I agree - I smudged 1 nail after 3 hours, but in my opinion it wasnt particularly streaky compared to cheap nail polishes. Two coats looked fine on my nails, but then they are kept short so transparency wasn't really an issue. Over a Sally Hansen base coat this looked fab. My first Essie polish, now keen to try more.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Radiance Eye Cream with Royal Jelly
GaddesdenGal 1/7/2013 5:13:00 PM
Eeeh this is a nice eye cream! I've tried tons of high and low end eye creams over the years, from Creme de la Mer to Boots own brand, and at the moment this is my favourite. I have sensitive eyes and this never stings. This eye cream is so gentle and moisturising I NEVER wake up with any puffiness from eye irritation. So many creams gave me puffy under eyes and lids, even just mild puffiness that I barely noticed but that was causing fine lines. I work really long hours and although I do still get bags when I'm really tired, 90% of the time my eye area looks great with this cream. My only criticism is the jar - by the time you're nearly at the end it can get a bit unhygenic and if you're travelling it can get a bit gritty. I'm on my 4th little jar and have no intention of buying anyhting else right now.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
GaddesdenGal 12/5/2011 3:18:00 PM
I can only think I must have a duff one of these looking at all the reviews. I was talked in to it when buying some other bits from benefit. It's a light powder, smells lovely and in a really cute box, but, it is just a no show on my face. I love sheer colors and subtle hues, but seriously, I can't see this at all without having to apply tons and even then it barely shows. I'm really fair of eastern European heritage and never tan, but this just doesn't work for my colouring I guess.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
GaddesdenGal 11/27/2011 2:26:00 PM
I bought and used two of these, and although the colour is very flattering (I'm sure it'd work for most skin tones) and it is a very durable stain and good value, three small dots per cheek is all you need, I won't be buying it again. It's not handbag friendly, but that's ok if you're just applying in the morning. It does stay put a long time, maybe too long I often couldn't get it off my lips in the morning after a night out. Oh and just a word of experience, if you buy this - make sure it's dry on your cheeks before you go out in the rain!

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
GaddesdenGal 11/27/2011 2:18:00 PM
I can't quite bring myself to rave as avidly about this as some. It's ok. I don't use it nightly as it's quite intensely moisturising and I get clogs from it but if I'm feeling dehydrated and tired it definitely counteracts my skin looking run down at least (have seen no effects on fine lines or my pigmentation). It is good for plumping the skin, same way as regenerist, I'm just not convinced about the benefits of it's hydration. I will say its a nice bottle and a little goes a long way. I've a tiny bit left in my bottle and I just don't know if I'd bother again tbh especially as it's so expensive.

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Effaclar K
GaddesdenGal 11/19/2011 4:03:00 PM
I've used about four tubes of this. For me it is good at keeping breakouts of big painful spots, raised and under-skin, at bay but didn't help clogged pores. Since I've started using sk:n exfoliating cleanser in the evenings, effaclar K has just become a bit redundant to me to be honest. Maybe my skin is just enjoying the change. I used it in the mornings and it went on well under foundation but sometimes if I used clinique pore minimiser instant perfector instead of foundation I'd find the effaclar K made it ball up and rub off (it only happened when I wore both so had to be one or the other for me in the end as I found them incompatible). On the plus side it is nice and light and I never found it too drying. Also the tube is great you can get every last drop out and it's a good size to travel.

Blush -MAC - Prism
GaddesdenGal 11/19/2011 3:24:00 PM
This is an excellent contouring colour for me. I don't use it as a blush I personally find it too flat a colour for my skin but it is spot on for subtle contouring. Usual great mac packaging, fine even colour and stays put all day. I find I need hardly any on the brush so also good value.

Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Multi correction eye cream
GaddesdenGal 11/18/2011 3:08:00 PM
I used to buy this when I was a student as it is a good mid price eye cream. It has excellent moisturisation levels although I always had to leave it a little while to sink in before applying concealer if I wanted my concealer to last the day. Kept fine lines to a minimum but did have the tendency to sting a little on over tired, sensitive eyes and didn't prevent puffiness or dark circles. I did notice a difference when I stopped using this in as much as the skin around my eyes felt much drier. I've not as yet been tempted to go back to this eye treatment as still searching for HG eye cream and this just didn't cut it.

Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - Ooh la lift!
GaddesdenGal 11/18/2011 2:52:00 PM
This has been sitting in my make up bag relatively un-touched. When the SA put this on me in the harsh lighting in John Lewis it looked amazing, and as a 'brightener' it is very good but a) my clinique airbrush concealer is probably brightening enough for me and b) extra brightening I feel sometimes draws attention to my bags if it's a baggy day. In essence I can see that this is a good product and if it's a little extra lift for dark circles you're after it can definitely help but I just don't think it's for me.

Liquid -Chanel - Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15
GaddesdenGal 11/18/2011 12:52:00 PM
Overall this is a splendid foundation. It's not as mat as the name suggests and compared to my usual mat foundation (lancome teint idole ultra) I find this relatively sheer. It does give a very pretty and healthy looking glow to the skin, feels lightweight and despite the very limited colour range I found it easy to pick a good colour match. I'd prefer a smaller bottle and a bit more coverage but I can live with creative concealer application to get the benefits of the pretty finish this foundation gives. It is expensive but I do think you get what you pay for and used with a decent powder you can obtain a fairly flawless look with this.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
GaddesdenGal 11/18/2011 12:31:00 PM
I'm coming to the end of my second pot of this and it's time for a change. This rich cream is really moisturising but I'm 27 and the hard work and late nights are proving too much for this cream. It does thoroughly hydrate the eye area without producing milia but it definitely doesn't tackle puffiness or dark circles (what does though). This cream struggles against a busy lifestyle. On the plus side it is an ok base for undereye concealer and doesn't overly irritate my sensitive eyes. I feel it has prevented some fine lines with it's intense hydration but I think I need something more counteractive now than preventative. I'd also say I really dislike the pot, it's quite unhygienic and you really have to gouge to get the last of it out when it wears down.

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - pores no more vacuum cleaner
GaddesdenGal 11/18/2011 12:00:00 PM
I love this product! I bought the new tube design from space NK after seeing LE recommend it and I have to say after six weeks of twice weekly masks this is the closest I've ever come to completely irradicating my blackheads. The smell is awful, it smells like shoe polish, but I can live with that as the results are great. I genuinely think this has improved my skin tone too, my red patches look diminished. I don't know if this has been reformulated as well as repackaged but I don't see dilated pores after use it leaves my pores refined. Sadly that doesn't last but it's certainly given them the best clean out they've ever had.
