Honestly, I really tried to love this product because it had rave reviews. I tried it out on multiple occasions at Sephora. I was hesistant to buy it because of the hefty price tag, until this Christmas sale of $10 for lip butter and lotion. The product is moisturizing when comparing it to lipsticks. But as a balm or salve, it is frustrating to use. The pot gets the colored product all over your hands in application. Color-wise it is not that awesome as a lipstick. As a lip balm, it is expensive and messy. It usually requires application with a mirror, as getting it all over your lips shows. I do not recommend buying this product. Spend $6 for the Smith's Rose Salve as a lip balm. Or get a Revlon lipstick, moisturizing and rich color selection, for $7. The butter lotion is fabulous though, expensive still.
I haven't checked out other suppliers of this perfume. But so far, the department store and Sephora options are really expensive. However, I have samples of Jimmy Choo EDT. The scent is super sexy! And it is on my wishlist for the coming new year. I didn't like the EDP as much.
I got this bottle on discount from ebay, so I am super pleased with $39 price tag for EDP 3.3 oz. The packaging is simple but nice looking with the burberry pattern of the 'classic scarf' all over the square-shaped bottle, all glass. Now for the fragrance. The scent is very sexy and fresh smelling, as oppose to musky and opulent of other deemed secy fragrances like Tom Ford. The scent is made for sex appeal in the age range of 20-40, in my opinion. The wear for the EDP is very long lasting. I can smell it on my wrists 8 hours later. It is not fruity or oriental at all, fairly mature sexy scent. I would probably not buy this scent after I finish the bottle. I never repeat fragrances after I am done. There is always something great on the market. But what is out there now, this is one of my favorites.
This is my favorite go-to product for acne masks and cleansers. I use this along with my clarisonic or just by itself. It manages to clear my face from acne even during the most stressful months of the year. I like to switch up my acne cleansers from month to month, so that my skin doesn't get used to one product. But if I ever reach a really bad 'break out month', I immediately switch back to this product until the acne clears.
Polishes -L'Oreal - Pro Manicure Nail Polish - Caught Red-Handed 470
FusiaFever 12/3/2012 9:48:00 AM
This is one of my current favorite nail polishes. The color is just hot! I am surprised that L'oreal nail polishes are not reviewed as much as Revlon or Rimmel brands. The quality is fairly great for drug store brands.
I prefer this palette to the colors in the original Naked palette. it has all the neutral colors that one would need for everyday use or a professional look. It also has the silver and black colors needed for creating a smokey eye for going out. I just need this palette and some random fun colors to complete my make up collection :)
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
FusiaFever 12/2/2012 3:55:00 PM
At first, I was digging this lip balm because of its paraben-free nature. It has very cute packaging. However, it is sort of annoying to dig in your bag looking for a sphere. Most of all, I will never go back to this product after using Rosebud Salve balm, which is the best. Also, I may purchase Korre's lip balm in mango or pomegranate if I want to go paraben-free. eos is not nearly as moisturizing as any of the other products mentioned.
While I was skeptical to try this foundation (i.e. definitely cannot relate to Kat Von D), this was an amazing product. It is fairly thick, so you only use a little of the product to get a flawless and airbrushed look. However, I ended up returning the foundation to swap with Make Up Forever HD Foundation. I do think that MUF is a less superior product in terms of coverage, but I liked that it was lighter. Most of all, I have been trying to work on clearing up my acne. I realized that I would rather fix my skin and get a more breath-able cover up. So with clearer skin, I am using BB cream and/or Make Up Forever foundation with MAC Skinfinish.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner
FusiaFever 12/2/2012 3:45:00 PM
This is, to date, the best eyeliner that I have ever used. I am basing this out of drugstore brands, since I have never ventured into high end brands for eyeliners. I have tried a lot of eyeliners in carbon black over the years and none are as easy to apply and give such a 'sexy look'. Despite what it looks like in the package, the pencil is actually really soft and glides on. This means that you are not using as much of the product as you think.
Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Anastasia Brow Powder

Amazing product that beats the eye brow pencils. It fills in your brows without being too harsh on the lines. It looks really natural. When I want to especially define my brows, I use MAC lingering pencil to outline after this product and Maybelline Clear Mascara as a brow gel. Amazing results! While expensive for a compact, this product should last me several year. You only need a bit. Do not purchase the expensive brow brush from this brand. Just buy any cheap set that comes with a sharp angled brush.
Currently, one of my favorite nudey pink lipsticks. It is quite darker than nude on my lips since I am a NW15. But it looks amazing with any outfit I wear and can stand on its own without heavy make up to glam up a casual look. It has a really 'pretty girl' look and pairs well with NARS orgasm blush, making anyone look like they aren't trying too hard. This brand of Revlon lipsticks is on point with the higher end brands. It is really moisturizing and beats out MAC lipsticks in that respect.
Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Black Out Mascara
FusiaFever 12/2/2012 3:31:00 PM
This is the mascara that I currently own. It is really one of my favorites, and the first upgrade that I had from drugstore brands. I can surely tell the difference in va-va-vroom quality and appeal. Since I don't wear make up that often, I will continue to purchase high end mascara's since you can tell the difference. However, if you wear makeup every day, I would suggest something cheaper like Maybelline. This is one of those men-will-stare at you mascaras. I bought it when it was the highest ranking mascara. If going for a cheaper brand...L'oreal Telescopic in carbon black is my hit.
I did tons of research on this product for a year before purchase. It was my very first high-end blush that I bought from Sephora. And I paid full price, which is not the norm for me. But despite the small package, it contains a lot of high pigmented product that will last me several years (i.e. do not wear make up on a daily basis). Though it appears to be glittery in the package, it comes on fairly matte with a slight sparkle...romantic glow. There is a reason for the years of stellar reviews. This product definitely lives up to its name- Orgasm.
This is one of my staple favorite go-to lipsticks. It is a very light pink and not quite nude color. I like to wear this to a professional event or with really smokey eyes for a smoldering look with a hot outfit. The packaging does not stand on the same level as Revlon lipsticks, which are as close to high end as you can get. But I think this is a must have, like a little black dress, in everyone's make up collection.
This lipstick is almost exactly the same as MAC Russian Red. I am a dirty blonde with really light features NW15. This is one of the few red lipsticks with blue undertones that I can pull off with looking seductive, not flashy. The texture of the lipstick is very moisturizing as oppose to the drying MAC lipstick, though MAC has longer staying power. I would repurchase this lipstick in a heartbeat since it's price is a little under $8 and Walgreen's still has it in stock. Even though it is listed as discontinued.
