Honestly I'm not sure if I would buy this colour again. The product for sure because its really smooth and the shimmer is very natural, not glittery at all. I generally hate shimmer but its so fine I don't mind in this product. I tried to look online for swatches before buying and most show this as a paler pink than it actually is. The other reviews here are right and it has very mauve tones. I was on the fence about returning it but the day I wore it my boyfriend kept complimenting me on how pretty I was. Two days later when i wore it again I got the same reaction so it must suit me. He doesn't normally comment on makeup. I normally like brighter blushes but with a light hand this is very natural looking. One to try out.

Cleansers -Vichy - Detoxifying cleansing milk for normal to combination

I'm so mad. I loved this cleanser for a long time and then it dissappeared from shelves for a few months. It's now back and as soon as I had run out of the one I was using as a replacement, I eagerly bought this. Well its no longer the same. It now does not make my skin feel clean and leaves a film so I'm pretty sure the formula changed. I wish I had an old bottle to compare bc the old ones were fantastic. Did not dry out skin, left no film behind and helped keep my skin clear of blemishes....now not so much :(

This clogged me bad. At first I didn't realize this was the cause because it snuck up so slowly but after about two weeks of use my face was covered in bumps (clogged pores). I stopped using moisturizer for a week thinking that might be the cause but it didn't help. After two days of not using this my skin is all ready much smoother and 95% of the bumps are gone. Sadly be careful with this one

Treatments -Clarins - Face Treatment Oil - Lotus

I can't be certain its this or my new moisturizer but I'm pretty sure this is the cause of one of the worst breakouts I've had in months. I stopped using the moisturizer a few days ago though and am still getting new pimples so I think its this. It makes no sense. I had no problems at all with the santal oil (actually loved it) but the SA said this one is designed for oily/acne prone skin and I shouldn't be using Santal. Well my skin is waaay worse now. Not happy and since I've used it three weeks I can't go exchange it for the one I wanted in the first place. EDIT: I let my skin clear up and then tried to reincorporate just this into my skincare. Massive breakouts once again. This makes no sense to me because I used and love the Santal oil (for dehydrated skin) with no issues but was recommended this one bc I have acne issues. GAARR!

Lotions/ Creams -Avene - Cicalfate Creme reparatrice

I love this stuff. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and this helped calm in down in the winter. It took away the redness and kept my face moisturized. The only thing is if I used it in the day, my face would get shiny by mid-afternoon but that is normal for me anyway. I also noticed that my acne wasn't as bad while I was using this :). Yes its thick and hard to spread but if you warm it up in your hands that's not a problem.

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Cicaplast

This is supposed to be design for very sensitive skin but the minute I put it on it turned my face BRIGHT RED. It took me a few weeks to realize this was the culprit because I assumed it couldn't be until I actually put in on in front of a mirror. My face would stay that way for at least two to three hours. On the plus side, it gave me no breakouts and always made my makeup look great but because of the redness I always HAD to wear foundation which I don't like doing. I even put in on in front of a mirror several times just to make sure and sure enough it caused instant, lasting redness.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Apricot Lip Glaze

The color is ok. I bought it in a pack with a few other colors and this is the one I use most BUT THE PACKAGING IS TERRIBLE. You have to keep turning and turning to get anything to come out and then once it does there is always ALWAYS too much. I must have wasted at least half. In theory I like the idea of having a brush attached, in practice more conventional ways works so much better.

Cleansers -Aveda - Purifying Gel Cleanser

Its an ok cleanser. I've had worse but really it doesn't do anything special to my skin. It doesn't dry it out which is good and smells nice but there are better ones out there. For the price (26.5 CAD) Id expect something that performs better

Cleansers -Biore - Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser
rated 2 of 5

I'm basing this review on a small sample that I used for two days so if you use it longer it may be different. The consistency isn't bad. Its kind of like hair gel which I actually liked. The problem is that it does leave a film on your face. So much so that my concellor/foundation started to ball up. I'm serious. It made it roll on my face even without an added moisturizer. I've never had a cleanser do this before only some moisturizers (I'm looking at you spectro gel)

Tinted Moisturizer -NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
rated 3 of 5
Freckledflower 3/27/2012 11:40:00 AM

I got a sample of this from Sephora. To start the shade range for pale girls is limited. Alaska was a bit to dark but I was able to blend it out and Finland was too light (I'm MAC NC20). The finish it beautiful though. I have oily skin and it evened out my redness nicely and left me nice looking skin. It was not glowy at all on me despite the radiant in its name but just looked healthy. However after 3 days with the sample my skin was really clogged and pimples kept developing for days. I do have clog prone skin but it took over a week of not using this for my skin to be back to its normal (but less than perfect) self. No foundation I've tried has been this bad. However if your skin can tolerate it, it does give a beautiful finish so I gave it a 3. I wish i could keep using it :(

Toners -Clarins - toning lotion alcohol-free for dry or normal skin
rated 2 of 5
Freckledflower 3/14/2012 8:10:00 AM

Everyone kept telling me a toner would help my oily skin. I chose this one because even though its oily its super dehydrated and flaky and the cold Canadian winters make it red and irritated. It actually wasn't that expensive considering I bought the giant 400ml special at the same price as the normal size ($33 CAD). However after about 4 days of using this I developed 3 HUGE monster painful cystic pimples. Its the only thing I change and these babies lasted almost 2 full weeks, something that hasn't happened in over a year. I think its the toner. To be fair, this is designed for dry skin so it probably was just my skin type. The toner also smells strong (not pleasant like other clarins products) and it stays that way. Try a sample before stupidly investing like I did

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
rated 2 of 5
Freckledflower 3/13/2012 8:15:00 PM

I kept getting recommended this buy numerous sales associates at sephora and then again by the makeup artists who did my face for a wedding because I have oily skin. However this simply does not moisturize at all. My skin turns flaky and I need to exfoliate right away when I use this. It might work for someone who is oily and not dehydrated but on me it does nothing. It also made my conceaIer really to blend into skin. gave it a 2 because it didn't cause me to break out and its unscented but i would not buy this again. Maybe it will be better in the summer when my skin is at its oiliest.

Cleansers -Lancome - Huile Douceur Remove All Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 5 of 5
Freckledflower 3/12/2012 9:56:00 AM

This stuff is great for my extremely acne prone skin. It cleans really well and after 2 nights of using it in a row I can see my pores getting cleaner. I don't use it all the time, mainly because I'm lazy, but have been 2-3 times a week for months and its great. You can use another cleaner after if you feel its greasy but you don't have to. And no break outs either way. I mostly use this when my skin is acting up or I wore a lot of makeup that day. I really wish it wasn't so expensive in Canada. But for $40 its really worth it because it works and lasts a long time. 1-1/2 pumps will do your entire face.

Moisturizers -Vichy - Aqualia Thermal Baume Mineral
rated 2 of 5
Freckledflower 1/6/2012 9:46:00 AM

I thought Id like it because of the good reviews but like one of the posters below this ended up giving me white bumps under the skin (especially under the eyes and jaw line) if I used it more than one day or two in a row. It does moisturize and take away the itch of winter skin but leaves a film. I'm kind of scared to finish it so it might end up as a very expensive hand cream

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter - Cocoa Butter
rated 5 of 5
Freckledflower 3/27/2011 4:37:00 PM

I absolutely love this stuff. It smells fantastic, absorbs quickly (unlike most of the body shop body butters) and leaves absolutely no stickiness. My skin gets dry and flaky in the winter and this cured it completely. It also doesn't make my back acne worse. On the whole, I don't really like the body shop but this is one of the few products I will continue to purchase, especially during the winter months.
