Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - INM - Out the Door Top Coat
FrancescaDD 3/11/2009 5:01:00 PM
This is by far the best top coat I've ever used. It dries quickly, leaves a great shine, and I find that my China Glaze polish (another best!) lasts the week sans chipping. If it starts to thicken in the bottle, just thin it out with a nail polish thinner made just for this purpose--Sally's Beauty Supply carry all three products I mentioned here.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Laurence Dumont - Vanille Violette
FrancescaDD 12/31/2008 7:12:00 PM
I puchased this after reading the reviews here and am so glad I did! This is sweet & pretty and smells predominately of violet sans any green notes. After reading the reviews about it smelling like cotton candy I could somewhat smell what they were referring to when I first sprayed it on, although to me it smells more like very sweet violets intially. The dry down is lovely, soft and delicious and not as sweet. The scent seems to have good lasting properties as I catch whiffs of it hours after spraying it on. My BF really likes this too and commented on how pretty I smelled with no prompting! I think anyone who likes sweet, feminine scents would like this one. The only problem is is finding this stuff! I lucked out and got a bottle on Ebay, but Sephora, who used to carry this, has discontinued it. If anyone knows where this can be purchased, please, please e-mail me, I love it!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Fresh Vanilla
FrancescaDD 12/18/2008 4:19:00 PM
I have always loved and worn vanilla scents, B & B vanillas in particular. I wore Vanilla Bean first and then Warm Vanilla Sugar when it replaced that. Fresh Vanilla, however, does not smell like vanilla to me. When I rubbed this lotion on it smelled like fresh vomit . . . I couldn't wash it off fast enough! (I also smell that Fresh Vanilla/fresh vomit in Vanilla Bean Noel lotion when I rub some on.) A manager of a B & B store commented once that "You either love this scent or hate it." So true!

Fragrances -I Profumi di Firenze - Vaniglia del Madagascar
FrancescaDD 12/1/2008 5:57:00 PM
This review is not about i Profumi di Firenze, Vagniglia del Madagascar, but rather about one of its dupes that I read about here on the forum. The Coconut Hut's Vanilla Passion, which is suppose to be an exact dupe. That being said, I absolutely LOVE this scent! All the reviewers who wrote about how sexy this scent was were right on. I would even go so far as to say that this is the sexist that my nose has smelled. I've always been vanilla girl . . . B & B's Warm Vanilla Sugar has been my predominant fragrance since it first came out. This smells nothing like WVS, nowhere near as sweet. I agree with the previous reviewer about the chocolate. To me it smells of a gourmand dark chocolate cookie without any cloying sweetness. I smell no vanilla, but I'm sure that must be what is smoothing and mellowing the amber in this. I got this in the Beach Baby formula which is a perfume spray. The scent stays true and does not disappear until I wash it off. I can smell this addicting scent days later on my cloths that I've worn while wearing this! This is undoubtably due to the concentration of scent oil. At $15 it's a bargin, I plan on ordering the bodywash and lotion soon. Highly, highly recomended!
