Hair -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Natural Jojoba Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

This may just be my fave conditioner of all time! It smells so delicious, and my the scent usually lingers on my hair for a day or so, which I love. I have TR’d hair and find that this conditions as well, if not better, than any high end or TR-specific product I’ve tried. I think it would be perfect for anyone with drier hair!

Hair -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Natural Jojoba Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
FlipFlop47 11/1/2005 12:00:00 PM

This shampoo is a great deal($5 for 16 oz at Whole Foods)! First, it smells delicious. Second, it cleans well without drying. Don’t expect a lather; you won’t get one. I didn’t like that at first, but I know that lather does not always = great cleaning. You need two rounds of this shampoo to thoroughly clean your hair, and I find this is the case with most shampoos. Third, no SLS, no animal testing. Good stuff all around!

Skincare - Body -Skindecent - Massage Melts
rated 5 of 5

At first, I thought, these are not for me. A solid moisturizer? I don’t even have dry skin. Now, as the weather is getting colder, however, I find myself reaching for these often. I love them for my heels and cuticles especially. They might be a little too much for most areas, but for especially dry spots, they are awesome!!!

Accessories -Renee Rouleau - toning cloths
rated 5 of 5

Fab little cloths! I was skeptical about straying from my trusty cotton ball, but these work a thousand times better. They feel nicer on your skin and don't waste toner like cotton balls tend to do. I thought I could just buy some sterile gauze pads at the drugstore, but it turns out that these are actually less expensive. Yay for Renee Rouleau!

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 3 of 5
FlipFlop47 9/19/2005 5:15:00 PM

This cleanser was such a disappointment. I wanted so badly to like it, but it just isn’t for me. I have oilier acne prone skin. It felt very unnatural rubbing oil on my face, but it did do a good job of removing makeup. My face felt clean after, so I didn’t follow with another cleanser. After a week of use, my skin is worse than it’s ever been. I don’t believe it is purging, as I have been using SkinBio Exfol serum for quite some time. Instead, I have small bumps on my T-zone, and the texture of my skin changed significantly (for the worse). On the bright side, DHC is a great company. My order shipped quickly with lovely samples, and if I found another product that I liked, I’d definitely place an order again.

Fragrances -Skindecent - Frosted Cupcakes

This scent is so awesome that it warrants a review all its own. The smell is so delicious! It goes on with a candy-like sweetness and dries down to more of a bakery scent. My mother, who despises perfume, loves this.

Skincare - Body -Skindecent - Smooth Shave
rated 3 of 5
FlipFlop47 8/27/2005 7:59:00 AM

I love nearly everything from Skindecent, but this is not one of my favorites. I’ve never liked shaving with shaving cream, and this one just didn’t do it for me either. It seems like a cross between a lotion and foam and doesn’t do anything in the way of smoothness.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Flashmode
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 8/5/2005 1:29:00 AM

Lustreglass- I love you. You are as shiny as lipglass without the tackiness! Flashmode is a beautiful color. I expected it to have more pigment, but I'm not disappointed that it doesn't. It shows up as a sheer juicy shimmery pink. I usually prefer sponge tip applicators and didn't care for the lip lacquer wands. For whatever reason, this wand seems so much better.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Lustrewhite
rated 5 of 5

I am so impressed with Lustreglass! Less tacky than lipglass with the same awesome shine! I ordered Lustrewhite online and expected it to be a milky white color. Instead, it is clear with shimmer. It's a definite replacement for clear lipglass. Looks great alone or over just about anything!!!

Sunscreen -Skindecent - Shade
rated 4 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/27/2005 3:14:00 AM

Marliss made me so happy by introducing sun protection into her line! Shade is a great product, IMHO. It's a lightweight lotion with titanium dioxide, and you can of course get it in any scent. It has no weird sunscreen smell. It goes on looking a little white, but once you rub it in thoroughly, there’s no whitish cast. I use it for my body only, as I believe there are a few comedogenic ingredients in there. The packaging could be a little better. Sometimes the top of the tube gets messy. Other than that, awesome product! The ingredients are as follows: Purified Water, Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Glycerin, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Emulsifying Wax NF, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fragrance, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynl Butylcarbamate & Xanthan Gum (from the site)

Eye Shadow -Stila - Dapple pro shadow
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/26/2005 8:12:00 PM

Dapple is one of my new faves! If you are used to Stila shadows being pigmented, silky, and all around great, this one won't disappoint you. It's a unique medium shade. In the pan, it looks like a darker version of Twlight. However, when applied, you don't see any blue tones. It's a beautiful shimmery silver, taupe, and purple mix. Not punched in the eye purple- hard to describe, but so gorgeous!!!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Twilight Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/26/2005 8:09:00 PM

Twlight is another winner from Stila! Silky smooth and nicely pigmented. In the pan, it looks like a lighter version of Dapple. When applied, it shows up as more of a true shimmery silver and sometimes shows blue undertones.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Diamond 'Lil
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/26/2005 8:07:00 PM

Diamond Lil is great as a liner on me (NC15/NW15). It's silky and very pigmented like the majority of Stila shadows. The color is a medium shimmery gray with a slight brown undertone. A bit darker than Dapple but no purple hue.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Twig Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/26/2005 8:00:00 PM

Love Twig as a crease or liner shadow! As with all Stila shadows, Twig is super silky, easy to apply, and stays on all day. Twig is such a pretty deep shimmery brown. It has a hint of a coppery or bronze undertone that really enhances the shimmer.

Palettes -Stila - 6-pan compact
rated 5 of 5
FlipFlop47 7/26/2005 7:56:00 PM

Excellent quality compact! The shadows definitely stay in their places. The mirror inside is a nice touch, but I rarely ever need to reapply Stila shdows. The double ended shadow/liner brush is another nice touch, but I really don't use it. Worth the $$.
