I participated in a pre-release marketing product review of Vaseline Rescue lotion before it hit the market and couldn't wait until it was on the shelf at CVS. It's wonderful. All of the members of the panel I was on agreed when we sampled it. It totally locks in moisture and instantly rescues dry, cracked skin. This replaces Aquaphor and Eucerin as my go-to for dry skin.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara

This is a great daytime mascara. It's subtle yet defines lashes, not at all gunky or thick. This is my new favorite mascara.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color

I tried Garnier Nutrisse hair color twice with the hopes of warm honey brown hair, but ended up with cool cherry brown hair, and, my hair is fried. The conditioner was utterly ineffective at softening my hair.

How can you not love the aspirin mask? It dries up my zips & excess oil. Other than the sneezing (once it dries), I love it!

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Gelee in Deep

Good self-tanner at a reasonable price. Goes on smoothly and evenly, dries quickly, doesn't have a foul scent, good coverage and color. It's provides a good shade even for my pasty legs.

Lotions/ Creams -Johnson & Johnson - Soothing Naturals Nourishing Lotion

My 5 month old son had a big of eczema so I picked this up at the local drug store. Was I surprised when not only did his rough patch of skin clear up in a matter of an hour or so, but his baby-soft tender skin became even softer. Now, I use it on my hands and elbows. Wonderful stuff, just wonderful.

Sunscreen -Alba Botanica - Green Tea Spf 30 Sunscreen

This is the *perfect* all-season sunscreen if you don't want to smell like the beach. It has a nice light fragrance and provides good SPF protection.

It's true - this stuff smells HORRIBLE and it lingers on my skin even after showering. I switched to L'Oreal & got the same results.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals in 1.2, fairly light

Great natural coverage with a healthy glow. The only drawback is its lack of staying power. EDIT: I've been using this for several months now. The other day I was in a rush and slapped on some liquid foundation for the first time since I got Bare Minerals. An hour later my face felt unbelievably gross - sticky and icky. I'd forgotten how liquid foundation hangs on your face. The minerals go on so light and sheer. I'm revising my review to 5 stars.

Great for taming my color and dryer damaged hair. Be careful not to use too much as it leaves an oily appearance. Not crazy about the packaging. It's v. difficult to get the last squeeze out of the tube.

Leave it on for just a few seconds and rinse it out. Leaves my hair v. soft and bouncy. I've also used it with Shine Shock with good results.

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Mania (re-release 2004; beige cap, not black)

With a subtle hint of incense, this is a fabulous fragrance for the autumn and winter months. With light floral tones it's also good for spring and summer. Love it!
