Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
rated 5 of 5

I was looking for an eye cream that would moisturize my dry, delicate eye area. I am luck to not struggle with puffiness or dark circles (yet) so I cannot vouch for its effectiveness for that, but in terms of moisturizing I give this an A+! The skin around my eyes is soft, plump, and healthy looking. I have very sensitive eyes and skin and often react to products, especially eye creams but I have not had any issues with this. I love it! I feel good know it is helping prevent wrinkles too by keeping everything hydrated.

Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth - Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel
rated 2 of 5
Figure88 5/14/2011 10:03:00 PM

Ladies, save your $$$. This is basically just the old school neutrogrena acne fighting orange cleanser repackaged with a few fancy ingredients. It irritated my cheeks and didn't do anything for my skin. I'd say go with a gentle cleanser like purpose or cetaphil and spend you money on a great moisturizer packed with all the good stuff in it...Peter Thomas Roth makes an amazing celluar night cream that is actually worth it.

Scrubs -Burt's Bees - Citrus Facial Scrub
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 5/14/2011 10:00:00 PM

I am normally more of a fan of chemical exfolliants as I find scrubs tend to me too harsh on my sensitive skin. I tried this after reading all the reviews. I was surprised by how thick it is, but a little water smooths it out and yes, it smells like cloves, but honey it is worth it! This is the BEST scrub I have ever used and I have tried everything from St. Ives. to the fanciest stuff from Peter Thomas Roth, etc. It leaves my skin absolutely glowing, silky smooth and gorgeous. The next day after using it my husband said "you are glowing, you skin looks extra pretty!" That is when I new for sure this stuff is gold. I use it once a week. I can say I have fallen, truly, madly, deeply in love with this product.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
rated 1 of 5
Figure88 12/2/2010 1:13:00 AM

Paula's line is so hit and miss! While I cannot live without the 1% BHA gel, this product is a HUGE miss. It is incredibly greasy, it just sits on top of my face. I put it on at night and I awoke the next morning with bumps all over my face...not sure if it was a quick breakout or gave me a reaction, but either way I am displeased with this product. It didn't moisturize and left me feel slimy and gross. Shame on this!

Scrubs -Fresh - Soy Face Exfoliant
rated 2 of 5
Figure88 12/2/2010 1:11:00 AM

This is basically just St. Ives Apricot Scrub with a bunch of essential oils in it. Left my skin greasy and broke me out after one use. Not happy with this product! It is a waste of $.

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 12/2/2010 1:08:00 AM

For me, when it comes to products less is best. By less however, I require a few really awesome products that work and make a real, visible difference. I tried to get away with using lotion on my hands thinking that would take care of my cuticles as well. Between the cold weather & hand washing dishes my cuticles were cracked and even one finger was bleeding around the cuti. A bought this cuticle cream just 5 days ago and have been using it every night. My cuticles now look awesome! They are soft and full. All around my fingernails is smooth and polished looking. I am very impressed with this now hg product. Sometimes things do live up to the hype!

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Lips Lip Gloss - ALL
rated 1 of 5
Figure88 7/24/2010 12:23:00 AM

Ewey, gooey, I'll give you the news...this gave me a bad case of the sticky lips blues! Thick, sticky, gross. This is destined to be the gloss that gives the nasty white lines and gunk caked up on the corners of your mouth. I hated the texture so much I took it off asap, so I cannot comment on the plumping. It did start to make my lips burn, so I guess it was working. In the trash it went. Never again!

Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Body Oil with Sesame
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 5:09:00 AM

I love this stuff for shaving! It gives me the closest shave ever and soft legs. I do however have to soap up afterward because it does leave a bit of grease behind, but hey it is a body oil after all!

Brows -Christian Dior - Brow Gel
rated 2 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 5:06:00 AM

This is an ok brow gel for mildly furry brows. It is too expensive for the tiny packaging and is just sub par. It doesn't flake or dry out my brows. When it runs out I will try another brand...meh.

Palettes -Trish McEvoy - Voyager Palette
rated 3 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 5:03:00 AM

I am not a huge palette buff but this lovely little set really seems to have it all. The case is a pretty patten leather and inside it is lined with hot pink fabric. The colors are pretty neutral...a few shimmery beige and brown shadows, a pinky bronze blush, a beige lipstick and a shimmery neutral lipstick. However, the true star of this palette are the little brushes that sit behind the make up...these are high quality brushes perfect for on the go, a brilliant idea! Who wants to lug around brushes + a palette, this little dude has it all!

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Secret Concealer
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 4:57:00 AM

A fantastic slightly pinkish creamy moist concealer for the under-eye area. This is my HG for covering up dark circles. It is just creamy enough to blend, but not so much that it creases...just use a light hand. Set with powder and ta da...instant sleep :)

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Extra Protective Moisture Lotion SPF30
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 4:49:00 AM

If my skin were a toddler it would be the super fussy, tantrum throwing, crying-in-a-movie, annoying kind that no one will babysit. Sure it is a nice shade of pale and I don't breakout often, but the ever so slightest upset in my routine and BAM! It is take me down to breakout city where the grass is green and the girl ain't pretty! Now that you know my back story you understand how sensitive my skin is...anything and everything upsets it. For years I could only use Purpose...but that only has spf 15. I couldn't tolerate sunscreens so I turned to this thinking it would end up on the swap list with every other non-purpose product. Much to my delight this light yet creamy lotion moisturized my dry delicate skin and did not break me out...it is heavenly! It is unscented which means it has that lotion smell. It isn't greasy at all either...I put this on in the a.m. pre-makeup application. It is so gentled I even put it around my eyes. I use this in the morning and the Q10 cream once or twice a week at night...you can't go wrong with this homerun product.

Shampoo -Oscar Blandi - Balsamo di Jasmine Smoothing Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
Figure88 1/15/2010 4:42:00 AM

Oh how do I love thee! I am a S&C junkie, always looking for my next fix on a new brand. I received this and the conditioner for Christmas and JOY TO THE WORLD! It is thick like yogurt and has a shampooy scent, don't be fooled by the Jasmine in the name, it doesn't smell like an old lady or anything. This rich and creamy shampoo cleans and moisturizers my color treated hair like a dream and leaves it smooth and shiny. This may sound weird, but I also noticed my scalp looked extra clean and sparkly after using this...even my DH (who is a hippie long hair ha ha) loves to use this on his long locks. It is his favorite and I agree!

Treatments -Biore - Pore Cleansing Strips - Nose
rated 1 of 5
Figure88 10/28/2009 12:55:00 AM

These are such a gimmick! Worst thing is that they actually are damaging to the skin! Facial skin is sensitive and the ripping and tearing caused by removing these strips is atrocious for my face. They do absolutely nothing as well, plus they stink like vapor rub and cause me breakouts...uh, no thank you!
