Masks -MAC - Volcanic ash Thermal Mask
Ferret1111 9/27/2009 3:47:00 PM
LOVE THIS MASK. I have been a bit obsessed with masks lately so when this came out I had to give it a shot. I wasnt disappointed. Its is very velvety and feels amazing when it heats up a little. I bought the volcanic exfoliator as well and used it prior to using the mask. The mask doesntr dry as fast as some other clay masks do and my skin didnt feel like the mositure has been sucked out afterwards. I kept it on for about 7 minutes, then washed it off with warm water. My skin felt very soft, and mositurized afterwards..The only thing is its very black. So when washing it off keep your face very close to the sink otherwise you will get black stuff all over your counter and floor. Im definitely getting a backup of this mask as well as the exfoliator. Both are a must for clear, young looking skin.

Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - Naked Honey Skin Salve
Ferret1111 9/27/2009 3:39:00 PM
I love this product. It is not scented vaseline, not at all.. It is a lot lighter than vaseline, and smells and tastes like honey, just not as sweet. Its also not sticky, I love putting it on my lips. I do not put this anywhere else, but I can see why a lot of people like using it on their cuticles as it is very moisturizing. One container is a lot of product and will probably last me around 6 months as I use it a lot. I mostly wear it alone, and it lasts an hour even while you're eating and drinking. I also like to put some on over MAC matte lipsticks to make the lipstick a little creamer, more mositurizing and taste delicious. The taste is very pleasant , a bit sweet and who doesnt like to put tasty gloss on their lips? I got abackup, thats how much I love this stuff..The honey taste is a huge selling point so I hope this make this a permanent salve. If you dont have one yet, you better go and get one quick as some counters still have them but call ahead to make sure.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
Ferret1111 9/24/2009 9:48:00 PM
Ok so this stuff is awesome and I agree with everyones rave reviews. The only issue with this product I have is that it is expensive, at around $40 for a 3.4 oz bottle. There is an argan oil treatment almost the same called Agadir Argan Oil. I bought a 2 oz bottle at my hair salon for $12 but online it goes for $20..It is a bit cheaper even if you pay $20 for a bottle and IT IS ALMOST THE SAME!! I bought Agadir first but read a ton of great reviews for Moroccan Oil brand so I had to try. It is the same , I personally didnt notice any difference. Smell, texture and the way my hair felt afterwards was the same. Love Argan Oil but will stick to Agadir brand, versus Moroccan Oil as it is a lot easier on the wallet.

Eyeliner -MAC - Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline
Ferret1111 11/17/2008 2:43:00 PM
This is a tricky black liner and serves specific purposes only. It is very very soft and smudges easily so be ready to have some q tips around. I use it for very black smokey eyes and it does the perfect job. I line the upper lid, then take a 219 brush and line it outward to create a perfect winged line. I then blend the heck out of the line. This pencil is only good for a few hour look, it would not do well for an 8 hr workday or going somewhere where humidity is really high. Also primer is a must for this liner, I use MAC paint in bare canvas and its wonderful. Will def repurchase but only use for night looks that dont last more than a few hrs

Treatments -Burt's Bees - avocado hair treatment
Ferret1111 7/31/2008 10:19:00 AM
I think the reason for negative reviews of this product is due to different hair types. My hair is dry-normal but more on the dry side (and I color it). Its not damaged but it does need additional care other than deep conditioning treatments and this treatment is perfect. It leaves my hair softer and more moisturized. I also like the smell, its a pleasant citrus/avocado smell that is not overbearing and very natural. I have repurchased this a few time.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost - Angel
Ferret1111 7/10/2008 3:00:00 PM
I really like this lippie for an everyday pink lip. I got this as a B2M but I would purchase if I had to. I love Lovelorn but it is not as sheer as Angel so I wear it at night mostly. Angel is sheer, warm color perfect for daytime. I have to say it would probably look better on darker skin, but I like it anyway.

Eyeliner -Jane - Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner
Ferret1111 7/10/2008 2:57:00 PM
I bought this in Navy since I needed a navy liner and didnt want to spend $20 on Stila or BB for a color I wouldnt use that often. This product is ok for me, not great but not terrible. It seems drier than MAC and Clinique and although Ive only had it a week and used it twice, I feel like its a bit drier already than it was when I forst purchased it. Its ok for me because I dont use it a lot. For colors that I use often such as black and brown I wouldnt repurchase, Id stick to HE brands.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 224 Tapered Blending (Windshield Wiper) Brush
Ferret1111 6/19/2008 10:37:00 AM
This brush is priceless if you know how to use it properly. Its not meant for depositing color on lid as it is too soft and fluffy but its perfect for blending e/s in crease and above the crease. It makes blending a breeze! Its used best in conjuction with 217 which is for applying color to crease. Must have, as all MAC brushes.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 266 Thin Small Angle (Synthetic hair)
Ferret1111 6/19/2008 10:34:00 AM
Basically, all of the reviews are true. This brush is fabulous and a must have in your brush collection. Ive used cheap brushes before and I'll say it again and again, quality of makeup is important but the right tools is what really makes or breaks the look. I've used an SE version of this brush for 6 years now and decided to purchase the full size. The size and angle of the bruish is perfect to achieve that desired winged e/l look. Its thin enough for a fine line, or can easily create a thicker line. Perfect. All MAC brushes are amazing.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Blackground
Ferret1111 5/25/2008 12:34:00 AM
I dont know why I waited so long to try this but im in love! This is a perfect e/s base for a smokey eye but its also great as a liner, it is a soft, shimmery black so I held out on getting it because i thought it was too similar to blacktrack e/l but it really isnt. I love using this as a liner as well. Also you get a very good amount for the price and I dont see myself using it all as I will probably use it once or twice a week. This is one of my HG's so run out and get it now! You will not be disappointed.

Eye Makeup Remover -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Gentle Eye Make Up Remover for Eyes and Lips - WATERPROOF
Ferret1111 4/30/2008 1:56:00 PM
After using Clinique Take The Day Off (oily formula) it took me a few times to get used to this. It is gentle and doesnt sting my eyes. I use it to take the rest of my makup too, not just the eyes and it works very well. So basically it does what it should and I you can beat 5.99 price tag! Also I no longer cry if I spill my makeup remover as it is very inexpensive compared to $16 I used to shell out for Clinique. Also, I think this is a better pick for a summer makeup remover as it is light and refreshing. I would def buy again. Update: I am going back to Clinique. I wear pretty heavy makeup on weekend and you really have to rub your eyes with the cotton ball a bunch of times with this remover in order to get all the m/u off. Its not good for eyelashes as they end up breaking and falling out as a result of this. This remover is good for every day light makeup though, or for some that dont wear that much to begin with.

Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts Hair Color
Ferret1111 4/22/2008 2:52:00 PM
This is my HG haircolor. When I started dying my brown hair it was damaged, dry, and recovereing from 5 years of regular hightlighting. The add says it makes your hair healthier after consistent use, and they are not lying people. My hair is so much healthier, shinier, stronger than its ever been. Another HUGE plus is the conditioner it comes with. For my thick, frizzy hair this is a God-sent. Better than any expensive salong brand conditioner. I also started using shampoos with natural oils such as olive and burdock and that has also helped. You have to try this color if you havent yet!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Nehru Eyeshadow
Ferret1111 4/22/2008 9:53:00 AM
I have to admit, Im quite disappointed in this, I really wanted a smokey greyish blue (matte) but this is looks 98% black...I already have carbon and love it so if you dont already have carbon, its worth just owning this as it does the job of a matte black e/s. You have to readlly blend this e/s in order to see the bluish undertones, and only in the lightest day light can you actually see any navy. I put this all over my lid on one eye in my windowless bathroom in the evening and put carbon on the other eye. There was no difference what so ever. Still looking for my perfect smokey grey navy e/s, in the meantime , nehru is going back most likely.

Shampoo -Ojon - Rub-Out
Ferret1111 4/18/2008 4:35:00 PM
I absolutely love this product . I typically wash my hair every 2 days and blow dry even more seldom so for me this is a lifesaver. The smell reminds me of a bathroom cleaner but I can get over that. This stuff is perfect for those days you hit the snooze too often and have no time to wash hair, or if you are trying to grow hair out and avoid shampooing too often. My only problem with it is the same as the reviewer below, I used it once, and when I went to use it again, nothing came out so I brought it back to Sephora and exchanged it. I was told a few bottles have done that before but still, this thing is worth trying another bottle. Bottle itself is small but will last a while if used once or twice a week. I will absolutely repurchase when I run out. Everyone needs a can of this in their bathroom, especially ladies with longer hair. HUGE UPDATE: The first can stopped working after 1 use so I exchanged for another even after being warned by a sephora MA that it may happen again and IT DID. I am so mad about this because this product is really great and I have jet black hair, it never left any white powder. Unfortunately this is going back. Im considering contacting Ojon to tell them to fix the problem because this was truly my HG dry shampoo.

Bronzers -MAC - Bronzer in Golden
Ferret1111 4/17/2008 10:21:00 AM
After looking at Sugar, Cargo medium bronzer and NARS laguna Ive settled for this one for a few reasons. Its the perfect combination of golden shimmer with beige undertones so it doesnt make me orange. Its almost identical to Cargo medium bronzer and its $20 vs $25 for Cargo. Texture is also very powedry but I like it. Overall Im very happy with it and will definitely repurchase.
