Eyeliner -Prestige - Waterproof Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 5/8/2010 10:59:00 PM

I have used these liners for so long, they are creamy, apply like a dream, and very decently waterproof. I have swam in the lake with this liner on many times, and it stays pretty well, it does fade just a teensy bit with swimming and dunking my head underwater, but it doesn't run or anything. It is soft so it is comfortable for my waterline, and most importantly this eyeliner stays all day, i put my makeup on in the morning and I don't bother with touching up anything (besides maybe lips) and at the end of the day the liner is just as good as when I first put it on. I will never pay more for another waterproof eyeliner, for the quality and price this is it. I mean how different can eyeliners really look (on your eye), as long as they don't smudge or move, that is all I want from a liner, and this hits the spot!

Pressed Powders -Etude - Peach Skin Pact
rated 3 of 5
FeliciaK 5/4/2010 7:50:00 PM

First off I would like to say that I don't use this compact for any coverage at all. I am an NC37 and this is wayyyy too light for my skin, it only come in one color, Peach Bloom. But how I use it is i use a fluffy powder brush and dust it lightly over my face to set my foundation. The powder is very finely milled and feels sooo silky. If i were to swatch it with my finger onto the back of my hand you would see that the finish of the powder is not powdery at all. It has a slight pearlescent or silky finish. I also use this as a highlighter. Since it is too light for my skin i use a smaller brush and sweep this on my cheekbones, nose and browbone, and it looks great as a highlight for my skintone. I don't think I would repurchase it because it is harder to get and a bit overpriced on ebay, and it doesn't knock my socks off, but i think it should last me a while. The packaging is light pink and pink, in a roundish bulky compact. I don't like that very much because it is so bulky and takes up so much room. But the product quality is very nice, and i think it works best as a finishing powder as it only come in one color, and I can use it on my NC37 skin. Overall, not the worst, but not the best, but it smells so good! Its a sweet but light peach scent! I think that is why I keep finding ways to use it!

BB Cream -Etude - V-line bb cream
rated 4 of 5
FeliciaK 5/4/2010 7:34:00 PM

I have a few BB creams including the missha perfect cover one, and the legere(silver package one) This one matches my skin color perfectly. I am NC37, and this BB cream doesn't give you a ashy or white cast effect. The coverage for this is pretty good, I apply with my fingers and instead of rubbing it into my face, I pat it in and it gives even better coverage. It does have a dewy finish which i really like. I have dry skin and this works well with my skin, I'm not sure how this would work with oily skin though. This is definitely a darker bb cream, so if you cannot wear most other bb creams because they are too light, give this one a try. I got mine on ebay for ten bucks. I wear the missha perfect cover in no. 23 and that is a good match for my skintone. The legere one is just a TAD light but it still works. I would say the color of this bb cream is just around NC 37. This is great for summer because it has spf and would create a beautiful healthy glow!

Blush -NARS - Gilda
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 5/4/2010 7:25:00 PM

I can't remember if I have already reviewed this or not, but if I have oh well because I love this! I have been using this for about a year now, and I haven't hit pan! You don't need much, it is a very pigmented peachy-pink color. Perfect color for my NC37 skintone, it gives me the "glow" and really just brightens up my face. I also have MAC peaches, which is also a matte peachy blush, and compared to that, the NARS is just a bit darker/redder or pinker, while MAC peaches is more lighter orangey-er. Both look similar when it on my face, but the NARS shows up a TAD darker/pinker on my skin compared to the MAC peaches which is a more true peach. I think this blush is worth every penny! I have been using this for so long!

Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - Ooh la lift!
rated 1 of 5
FeliciaK 4/24/2010 12:02:00 AM

I am pretty sure that this product did nothing. Like literally nothing. I used most of it just to use it, but all it did was add product to my face. No "lift" was experienced, no coverage or color was detected with my skintone (I am NC37) and no brightening. I mean, it didn't do anything bad, no cakey-ness, no skin reactions or anything, but it just did...nothing. Honestly, did like a person test out this product to see if it worked before they released it? Anywhoo, pretty expensive for a product that does nothing, but i guess any amount of money is too expensive for something that does nothing.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
rated 1 of 5
FeliciaK 4/22/2010 10:58:00 PM

I used to use this back in my middle school days when I knew next to nothing about make up. With this mascara, unless you already have long thick curly lashes, this mascara is awful. I recall even when I used this back in the day, I would use a good mascara first, and then after that dried I would layer some of this over just to get some darker color. But this doesn't hold curl, does little to nothing for lengthening, and volume, (more like nothing) Just isn't a good mascara, although its relatively cheap its not even worth that. You would be better off using the money spent on this towards a better mascara.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 4 of 5
FeliciaK 4/22/2010 10:49:00 PM

I was very surprised but this foundation. I'm not an everyday foundation wearer because I don't really need much coverage. I am a NC37 in MAC MSatinF, and i have this color in 250 fresh beige and it matches my skin tone very well. Oh, also I have the normal/dry skin formula, because...wellll I have normal to dry skin. =) Anyyywhooo, I didn't buy this foundation for a long time because I thought that I just didn't need such a full coverage foundation. This i would say is medium coverage and very build-able. But finally out of curiosity I caved and got it. Lol. But I'm very glad I did. The foundation doesn't look cakey at all! It looks ohh so smooth on my face. This formula seems pretty runny, I have to be careful when pouring it onto the back of my hand, but it is very blendable and doesn't set too quickly so you don't have to work quickly, if you don't want to. I have tried revlon photofinish as well, and I would have to say I like this one much better, the consistency just feels smoother and like richer, if that makes sense. Compared to the photoready, this ones texture I like better, the Photofinish sometimes would accentuate some of my dry skin, maybe its because colorstay has the normal/dry formula, but I like that they have that option, another plus! Also this doesn't have those microshimmers the photoready has, which I don't really mind, but I don't love either. Haven't had any breakout issues, but I usually don't but I will try and update if anything changes! I gave it 4 lippies because I'm just not a huge foundation wearer, finding this just may make me wear it more!

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Conceal RX
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/22/2010 10:29:00 PM

I am actually really liking this concealer. I have this in soft yellow. It comes in a tube, but isn't a liquid consistency, but thicker. Like if a concealer in a pot was put into a tube. I really like the squeeze tube. Isn't the MOST blendable because of its thicker formula, but it is still blendable. (I use my fingers which I think works best.) This product actually has very good coverage on my dark circles, which aren't really bad, but I would say they are medium. This has very good coverage, and will continue to repurchase if I don't find anything I like better. But with the price and coverage, I think this is an amazing deal.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Brambleberry Rose lip balm
rated 3 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 8:12:00 PM

I got this as a gift so I'm not sure on the price. But from what I see online, I don't think I would buy this for 7 dollars now that I have tried it. I think it is an average product. I think the smell can be hit or miss because it is very unique, I'm not crazy about the smell, but I don't hate it either. It is pretty fragranced for a lip balm. The consistency of the balm is nice and smooth, it is basically petroleum, so if you like that feeling that is the first ingredient. It does alright in moisturizing my lips, though I have other balms I like better. I have very red/pink pigmented lips so it pretty much goes on clear for me. I don't like sticking my finger into the container for balms, so I never use this as a on the go product. I mostly just like using this under lipsticks while i'm doing my makeup and I know my hands are clean. I think it performs great for that. I will continue to use this until its gone, but that will probably take forever! In my honest opinion it is a average but still decent product, but I'm not attached to it so I won't repurchase it if I ever finish it.

Highlighters -MAC - Beauty Powder in Shell Pearl
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 7:59:00 PM

I got this with the liberty of london collection, It is a soft pinky/peachy color with a fine sheen. (I am a NC37 in MSatinF) I think becuase of my skin tone the color doesn't show up very pigmented, but still does show softly. I wasn't sure how to use it at first, but it is a pretty versatile product. Depending on your skin color, you can use it as a blush, over a blush, a highlighter, even an eyeshadow, and you can pat it on the center of your lips if you are wearing a similar lip color for a little glow, and it will make your l/s last forever! I'm not so sure of a bronzer? I think bronzer should be a bronze color..? That confused me a bit, but anywhoooo the color is very pretty and the quality of it is so good! It is so finely milled it feels like silk. I mostly use it as a highlighter, and also it looks so beautiful over blush if you want a little extra glow or sheen to a matte blush you have on. I gave it 5 lippies because it is such a quality product and very versatile, but I wouldn't buy it again, because, well its LE, and I don't think I will ever finish the entire thing as I don't use it every day, and I'm sure that I will be buying many other beauty powders that work similarly to this one. But I like this one!!

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 7:39:00 PM

I really love this powder! It is so finely milled, and applies on like a dream! I am NC 37 in Mineralize satin finish, the MA actually recommended a shade lighter that this which i think is medium plus, because it matched my skin tone PERFECTLY, but I was at my very palest that I am all year. So I wanted to get it in a shade darker so that I could also use it in the summer months. Using it right now it is a little bit darker than my actual skin tone but after my tinted moisturizer and/or foundation, it blends into my skin seamlessly. The finish i would say isn't totally matte, but it doesn't have a sheen either. It just looks so natural just like real skin should look. The MA told me she always uses this on girls for weddings because it gives such a beautiful soft finish. I use it to either set my face, or just over a tinted moisturizer (that i always use no matter what) and it gives sort of an airbrushed look. It doesn't have the most coverage, because it obviously isn't like a powder foundation, but does give a little bit of coverage in terms of evening out skin tone. A bit pricey, but the MA told me it would last forever, which it seems to be doing. I have been using it everyday for almost a month now, and I don't even see a dent. This is so finely milled that i can swipe my powder brush over it and i feel like it barely touched it, but when i look at the brush I see all the product on it, if that makes sense. Plus the minerals are supposed to be good for your skin. Yet another incredible, high quality product from MAC! Sorry long review, but I love this stuff!

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Peaches
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 7:22:00 PM

I am NC35-37, and I love this color! Well I like anything peach! But I really do like this blush. It is a very true peach color, and gives me a beautiful glow! It is pretty pigmented, even though they call it sheertone blushes. It had no shimmers at all which I prefer for everyday blushes, and if i do want some shimmer i just layer a beauty powder over it and it looks gorgeous! I would buy this again if I ever run out, but these last for so long!

Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder in Blush Of Youth
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 7:16:00 PM

Yes, the packaging is just gorgeous, makes me not want to break it in! The color payoff isn't the best, but it is a beauty powder. You really do need to break through the surface of this to get the real color payoff. maybe because of the rose design they have put a layer of something, maybe a coating to protect that design? But the color is a beautiful soft light pink. Gives me a glow that doesn't look like I am obviously wearing blush. I am NC37 in mineralize satin finish for reference. May I add again, that it might take some time to break in this product to get its true color payoff, because I've noticed that over the time that i used it, it has gotten better. In the beginning I thought it was crap because it just didn't even show up, but after I keep using it, I seem to get more color payoff every time, and could seem more product come off onto my brush. Since it is LE I probably won't be able to get my hands on it again, but if i could I would. This would be perfect for summer when I don't want too much obvious makeup on my face. I have actually been using is everyday and I love it!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish in Tokyo-a-Pink-Pink 501B
rated 5 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 7:07:00 PM

I was SO surprised by this. I just saw this and liked the color I saw in the tube. It is such a pretty medium pink! I would say it is a pretty bright medium pink, but still very wearable! What I was most surprised by was the consistency of this l/s! It is not drying at all on my lips, and most l/s tend to dry my lips out, but I really like the texture of this! It is more on the matte side, but not COMPLETELY matte. The price can't get any better, so go try this! The quality was so shocking to me, I want to go out and get more colors! The only thing is the packaging looks kind of cheap, and the l/s doesn't twist all the way down into the tube so be carful when you put the cap back on, or even taking it off. But for the quality that you get with the price of these I will stop complaining. I say go try this!

Concealers -Wet 'n' Wild - Cover All Liquid Concealer - 812 Light
rated 4 of 5
FeliciaK 4/14/2010 6:56:00 PM

I bought this because it was so cheap and I just needed a concealer at the time. And I was so surprised. I am now on my second tube! I am a NC37 mineralize satin finish, and I use this color mostly on my under eye circles and it does a decent job covering, and brightening up that area. I really like the creamy consistency, it blends very easily. I wouldn't say it has the BEST coverage of any concealers out there, but it has good coverage for a liquid concealer. I have normal to dry skin, in the winter it is more dry, than normal I guess, but this concealer isn't too drying for my skin, yet it isn't too creamy or greasy where it has no staying power. This product I think is a great buy. If you need a lot of coverage, you should be going with a thicker, maybe a stick concealer. But this is a liquid concealer so you won't be getting as much coverage as a stick. But this is such a great deal, and it does the job! Packaging is find to me. I like the wand because I can dab it right where i want it, with all concealer I like using my fingers to blend in rather than a brush. Only downfall is that there isn't much of a color selection. I think there is only like three or four different shades, but I recommend trying it out!
