Lipstick -Maybelline - designer pink
Faux 1/17/2012 9:12:00 PM
While waiting for a prescription, about 2 months ago, I saw the new packaging for these. I kept the receipt, fully intending to take it back, and it's now one of my favorite LS. I just know that they will D/C by the time I need another. I've already been unable to find another one since finding this one. If you like pinkish nude shades, you will love this. Its not often I find a color I love in a drug store, but this is one of my favs.!

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Topcoat
Faux 1/14/2012 8:23:00 PM
This review is for the treatment with Nylon in it. Both of my thumb nails used to have splits right down the center of them and as soon as they would get any length, the cracks would just keep splitting 1/4 of the way down the nail. My thumb nails were stubby and wouldn't grow. I have been using this for about six weeks now, I put about threaded thumb nails are grown out, I'm happy with it. It takes my nails from brittle/chipping to Hard as Nails! Consistency and brush are easy to work with too.

Polishes -Sinful - Easy Going
Faux 1/14/2012 8:03:00 PM
I like this color. It polishes exactly as it looks in the bottle. Now that I'm doing my nails more, I can tell the differences between cheap vs. HE polishes. I used to wonder why anyone would pay more than a couple of dollars for a polish. I thought a color was a color. This polish is a perfect ex. of why you may want a higher end polish. It's runny, applies uneven, and I find the brush to be too big and hard to work with for the consistency of the polish. Before it would dry, it was running onto my cuticles. But, this being said, I love the color and once you get the hang of working with it, for .99 cents I can't complain. I just had a dark purple mani., so I wanted something sheer, and this is perfect. One coat looks nude/pink, and I put a tiny bit of glitter on top. It's a very soft, pretty look. I recommend. Wipe the brush really well before applying.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - All Colors
Faux 12/24/2011 4:35:00 AM
This review is for Red Carpet. I've always thought that all nail polishes were created equal, NEVER understood paying more than a couple dollars for a NP Well, tonight I thought I would make a really Christmassy manicure, have had Red Carpet for a month, was really excited to try this and now I just have a big red mess all over my fingers. It's a true red color with little gold flecks. Now that it's drying, it is a pretty color. The problems: the brush is horrible. Very sparse bristles that fan out, are hard to control, and get polish all over the sides of your fingers. The consistency is runny, dries fast, but leaves big glops of red on the edges of your nails. I do manicures with my 5 year-old niece, and, if you've eve done your nails with a little girl, you know my hands are a mess. Trying ti swipe the polish, that was running, off of my fingers left polish everywhere. I have other SH Extreme Wear polishes and I love them. I don't know what happened to this one, but I think I'm going to invest in some better polishes. This was not fun at all - what a mess!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Nail Color in Sparked / # 435F
Faux 12/19/2011 4:48:00 AM
Totally agree with the review below! Expected this to be cheap and kind of tacky - thought glitter was juvenile, etc. Now, every time I paint my nails, no matter what color, how bright, etc., I go back and put two coats of this on! It's all I've worn since purchased over a month ago. Wears like iron. Good thing, because she's right, it's nearly impossible to get off. That's the only draw back. Don't know when I'll get tired of this, but, for now, I LOVE it (and, it's .99 cents!), one more thing...if you like this, try Sally Hansen's Twinkle Twinkle glitter. 2-3 coats looks like glass on top of your nails. Larger, glassy glitter - $2.99.

Lip Treatments -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment for Lips
Faux 12/3/2011 1:11:00 PM
I don't know what I've been thinking. A dermatologist told me to get this, I have a 1.75 oz tube, for extremely dry skin. I've had it in my nightstand, not using it, for a year. In the meantime, I've been searching for anything that will help my dry, lined lips. I like to wear nude/pink/pale lipstick, so they can look really bad. I've spent a lot of $$ trying to find something to help. Any lip product that claims to heal, I buy. Several nights ago I came across this and thought I would try it on my lips. Done, healed, moisturized, smooth. I can't believe all the products I've tried, money I've spent & frustration I've gone thru, and this was a foot away. Not to mention all of the board ques. I've answered suggesting products that weren't as good as this is - sorry:-( I haven't used the one meant specifically for the lips, and don't know if it's formulated differently, but the squeeze bottle formula works. As I remember, it wasn't cheap, but this will prob. last years.

Polishes -Barielle - Natural French Manicure Kit
Faux 12/3/2011 12:48:00 AM
There's no category for what I bought: at TJMaxx, set of three, a light pink, beige, and French white. All three colors for $5.95. Colors are very true to what they look like in the bottle. Not sheer. The good, and bad...it dries very quick, so work fast! If you like a natural look, these are good. I had to use three coats, might put on a fourth, to get the depth I wanted, but, since it dries quickly, it's not a problem. I never see these, outside of TJMaxx, but if I did, I would buy.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Matte Lipstick in 901B Think Pink
Faux 12/2/2011 6:11:00 PM
Since my favorite nude LS was dc'd, 2years ago, I've been on the hunt for something similar. I have resigned myself to combining 2-3 shades, at once, and am never really happy. Well...I've been passing 901B up thinking that it would just be another failure in my LS drawer, even though it looks just like what I want- a nice nude with a little bit of pink, cream LS. Broke down and finally bought it. Saved the receipt thinking I would return it the next day. I know its cheap, but I'm sick of all the "cheap LS taking up my drawer. This is perfect!! If you want a creamy nude/pink, matte shade, no sparkles, no red, this is it. I still can't believe it! If the tube said "YSL" on it, I'd buy it, it's that good. Not drying, like MUFE and Nars. They Have nice nudes, but I always have to wear something else with them b/c they're too drying. This is super creamy. I'm buying every one I see before it's d/c'd! I'm done searching!

Lip Liners -Rimmel - Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liner in Eastend Snob
Faux 11/23/2011 1:13:00 AM
UPDATE: should have reviewed after several days of use. Not my favorite. It's a little drying, and I find that it looks uneven/faded after an hour of application. I bought this after seeing it mentioned briefly here. Almost every Rimmel lip liner was on sale except this one, so I paid full price - $6.95. I got a nude beige too, but returned it because it was too pigmented for me & I have a ton just like it. Anyway, as I said, these ares super pigmented. This shade is the exact same shade as my lips, I guess I would be a NW 20, and you really can exaggerate your lips! Love the slanted tip, stays forever, and the consistency is different than a regular pencil. These are very soft and apply very smoothly. If I didn't know who made these, I would think they were extremely high end. This is a brand I usually pass up, but I'm going to start trying other products in their line. Will wait for a sale next time though.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
Faux 11/18/2011 11:39:00 PM
Love this stuff! I'm a LS junkie, and I think I'm converting to just this. It has great natural pigment, very soothing and makes my lips look bigger. I bought the Peach Kiss, a great nude shade, and the Pink Punch. Just got today, and have mostly worn the pink, love this shade, but I think I'll buy more tomorrow. I paid $3.99 each @ Walgeens. I'm actually going to buy back ups b/c I know they will d/c. Can't believe, with all of my high end LS, I'm even saying this, but I like it that much! UPDATE: after a week of use, this stuff really fried out my lips. Won't buy again.

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - No Chip
Faux 11/6/2011 11:27:00 AM
This is truly a "no chip" top coat. My polish lasts two plus weeks, almost too long, if I apply this as about every three nights to polish and tips of nails. Wouldn't buy anything else. Nothing fancy about bottle, I like rubber tops, but it's worth it.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
Faux 11/5/2011 3:56:00 PM
A few days ago I spent $22 each for two Too Faced Perfect Waterproof E.L. Pencils. I wrote a great review on them, this morning, and then I saw the review, on the home page, for Milani. I wasn't going to go out today, but I had to run to CVS and find out if these pens are as good as T.F. I also have UD 24/7, I like them, but they can be too sparkly for day for me. Anyway, I bought the brown and deep purple in the Milani. The purple I'm taking back, it's a auto-roll-up pen, and you can tell its cheap packaging and I can't get it to roll up, so stay away from these. But, the pencil...I put a swipe of the TF and a swipe of the Milani on my hand, tried to see if i could smudge immediately, i could on both. Then I put a smudge, waited 30 seconds and neither one will budge. The browns are identical, I actually think the Milani may be more pigmented.they have been on my wrist/hand now for four hours, neither one is washing, or wearing off. I think I'm taking my Too Faced back and getting my $44, with tax, close to $50 dollars back. The only drawback is the Milani doesn't have a smudger on the end, and I really like that with the Two Faced. There's just something about a HE product that feels different. Shouldn't, but now I'm not sure which to keep!

Eyeliner -Too Faced - Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner
Faux 11/5/2011 12:18:00 PM
I had quit wearing e,l all together. As you get older, you just can't get away with cheap, smudging, running cakey e.l I was at Ulta, saw the display and thought the perfect brown was actually a brow pencil. Put it on my hand and it wouldn't come off! Then I read that it was an e.l. I stood there playing with the 5 colors for an hour because I couldn't decide which color I wanted most. I like the fact that they don't have a lot of color choices. It's like shopping for the Perfect pair of jeans, you don't want to try on 500 pairs to find the perfect, basic pair you wear all the time...that's what this is, the perfect pair of jeans, and I don't have to shop any more. It comes in a Perfect Brown, Perfect Storm (a grayish, blue/black), a dark purple, a basic black, and a lighter blue. After an hour, I bought the Perfect Brown & The Perfect Storm. I would have bought them all, but they are $22 ea., and any eye pencil over $15.00 is ridiculous to me. But, that just tells you they know, once you try these, you will pay it. Beautiful, densely pigmented, won't budge, they are Perfect. I bought a set of UD 24/7 pencils, but I'm taking them back. I only like one of then colors, and they're just too shimmery/glittery for me. UD is good for night or someone under 25. These are like the perfect jeans. I also like the smudging end, it's really hard, not flimsy, and has the perfect slant to it. I have always disregarded these ends, b/c u usually end up making a big mess w/ them, not these. I wore it all day, and kept checking my eyes to see if it was getting in the corners, not once. It really makes life easier. I'm typing a lot about just an eye pencil, but 4 me to spend $44 + tax on 2 pencils is saying a lot!

Lip Gloss -LORAC - Couture Shine Liquid Lipstick Vintage
Faux 11/1/2011 11:37:00 PM
For all you nude ladies, this is a must have! Like another reviewer said, it's not to pink, it almost looks like concealer next to the colored shades, but I love that. I also like that it has a brush applicator so, if you want to layer on top of something else, you don't pick up color with it. More $$ than I would normally pay for any lipgloss, but it was just almost made for me, couldn't resist! if you are a true nude lip lover, you must have. I just hope they never d/c it now that I have found it.

Treatments -Sue Devitt - Microquatic Luminous Finishing Mist
Faux 11/1/2011 10:59:00 PM
I walked into Ulta just to browse. I went to try on some lipstick, and noticed how dry my skin was! My MU looked awful, my nose was peeling, forehead lines, I felt really old. I tried a couple $100 plus lotions that just smeared my MU around and didn't absorb. I use very good skin care, just started Argan oil, etc. So I was.so discouraged. Then I saw this. Never used this line as it is very expensive & I don't really hear a lot about it, but when I read the ing. list I was very impressed...tons of anti-aging, peptides, retinol, etc., and it's alcohol & oil free. Comes out in a super fine mist, feels great. It's $45, so I decided to spray all over, even my hands, shop @ Marshalls, & see if I really had to have it. I did a double take o myself in the mirror @ Marahalls! Sorry, know that sounds vein, but my skin looked soft, dewy, and no signs of dryness. Feels soft too. I went back and bought it, and don't regret it. Especially since I know it's good for my skin, not just a MU that I layered over my skin for a desired look. Considering I looked at some P.T. Roth products @ 1 oz. for $120, I don't feel so bad. I don't have anything like it, and u get 1.7 oz, which is anfair amount for HE products. The 18 year-old SA steered me towards Urban Decay moisture spray, but the first 2 ing. Were water and alcohol, and it made my skin feel tight and sticky. LONG story short...love and I think it's worth the price, ESP. In winter. May not need it in summer, but I'll have to wait and see. Ultra has a 60 day $$ back policy, so what do u have to lose?
