Primer/ Corrector -E.L.F. - Mineral Infused Face Primer

E.l.f Mineral Face primer. I quite like the packaging , pretty sweet and sleek just wish the lid snapped on a bit tighter. I read another review on this product before receiving it in the, the reviewer had said " I didn't like the plastic casing , I hate when you think your getting glass and its plastic" So I knew I wasn't getting glass BUT I have to agree , would be nicer in glass... then again that would cost more wouldn't it? compromises compromises. I have also bought the GOSH one lately, I have compared it against that. I applied E.l.f to one side and Gosh to the other , then applied my Clinique Gentle Light make up (foundation) all over my face. I think to look at there's no noticeable difference but there was on applying the products, I found the gosh primer to be greasier than e.l.f. and took longer to soak in. Its now 5 hours later and when I touch my skin , the e.l.f side definitely feels smoother :) but again .. at a glance there's not much difference both do the job superbly and my foundation is still giving me the coverage I need. The main factor here is E.l.f primer is £6.00 and the GOSH primer is ...£13. You get 14ml of e.l.f product and 30ml of gosh. Sooo I'm kinda inbetween. I reckon i will try a few more Primers as I haven't found my Holy Grail yet But if i need to buy more I'll go for elf on this one.

E.l.f Brush shampoo, Ive never used a brush shampoo before I've always just used a gentle Hair shampoo , like baby shampoo. I love the packaging of this product and it does the job its meant to ... there isnt much more I can say about this This item is priced at £3.50 for 120ml. Very reasonable and even if you did want to go back to using baby shampoo..... keep the bottle and refill because its co cute/sleek. No perfume so no smell at all :

Mascara -E.L.F. - Studio Mineral Infused Mascara
rated 4 of 5

Ok I LOVE mascaras I'm a Mascara Junkie , its just my thing. So i bought e.l.f's Mineral Mascara which was actually in the Studio line instead of the mineral one ? Weird. Packaging .... I like it love the buffed black casing ... maybe would have liked a bit more info on the tube but that's just me. The brush is one of those silicone numbers :P a bit like lash blast? Truth is it DOES make your lashes look lovely and long and totally clump free.... thicker? I'm not so sure about. In the photo below , i have one eye e.l.f and one with my beloved Clinique High impact (which i don't think gets enough credit). After applying I asked my mum ... "which eye looks better?" ..... she chose the clinique eye. We did both agree and they are equally lengthening but clinique just had the edge here. Again though at £3.50 for the e.l.f and £14.50 for clinique its a bit of a no brainer if your only starting out. I'm not totally writing this off , I WOULD buy this again and i do really like the product. Thumbs up :)

Polishes -E.L.F. - Mod Mauve
rated 2 of 5

Ok so there is only one review before mine but .... after being so so excited to get this, I was a little disappointed but only for 1 reason. The consistency was very very thin , and as a light colour I needed to apply 3 coats In future I'd prob even apply a 4th. In saying this , I do LOVE the colour, it exactly the type of colour I'm obsessed with just now. But i'll be honest i wont buy it again even at £1.50. Just too thin even now that ive tried 4 coats it Still shows nail through. I generally like elf but this was dissapointing

Blush -E.L.F. - All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade
rated 4 of 5
FashionableAddict 7/3/2010 9:35:00 AM

Pink Lemonade colour stick ..... All I can say is LOVE LOVE LOVE. Soooo pretty , and smells lovely, It smells kind of citrus/sherbet. When this first arrived I have to say it is a little bit smaller than I'd have liked , but actually on second thoughts this is a really good thing a) because you can pop it in your make up bag or even pocket , b) you don't need to use very much at all as its lovely and pigmented and c) Only £1.50!!!! I also was worried i would look like a real clown because of the high colour , I thought id chose a colour that was too dark for me , But surprisingly once blended Great flushed Rosy cheeks, lovely and creamy , and can be used on lips too :) ACE

Concealers -E.L.F. - Tone Correcting Concealer
rated 2 of 5
FashionableAddict 7/3/2010 9:33:00 AM

The corrective tone concealer , I'm on the fence about this product , i really do like it , but i think maybe i got the wrong colour. So I've started to use it Over my "benefit "it" stick" I love the benefit concealer stick but can find because its a pencil its a little cakey under the eyes , so i started to draw on the "it" stick then used the e.l.f concealer on top and blended in to each other for a much better colour under eye for me. Again for £1.50 i cant complain and can afford to buy another one in a more suitable colour. But really i dont NEED it to put over my "it" stick ... so wont buy again

Highlighters -E.L.F. - Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder - Luminance
rated 4 of 5
FashionableAddict 7/3/2010 9:31:00 AM

Ok So with the healthy glow bronzer, I'm naturally pretty pale (I come from Scotland after all) but i do have Greek roots so i take a good tan. I think being dark haired i pull off putting on a bit of bronze or fake tan. Luminance is the Lightest shade and i guess for alot of people it would be more suitable as a highlighter than a Bronzer because it definitely didn't make me darker. I don't think this was a bad thing because it gave me a lovely glow and as it says on the pack I did look very "Healthy" I really liked this product I used a Kabuki brush to put it on, I also brushed it over my shoulders and collar bones and on days when I wore no make up a light dusting on my eyelids was beautiful with my tan. For £1.50 you really cant beat it, My advice would be to try the deeper colours if your wanting more colour and darkness. Only gripe is that if you use a kabuki or powder brush it dusts up alot in the pan which i think means you lose more product than needed but at £1.50 ....Who cares

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze - Ruby Kiss
rated 3 of 5
FashionableAddict 7/3/2010 9:27:00 AM

The plumping lip glaze comes with stain at one end and gloss/plumper at the other. I do like this but i haven't wore it much, I guess its not the type of red lipstick i enjoy , It is lovely but i think i prefer bright matte Red's. It is not sticky and the colour stays well , but be warned it is not as bright as it looks in the tube its more like a gloss red. The other side of the stick that is the gloss and plumper is lovely , I usually use "Too Faced" lip injection I have to admit it nips alot. With the elf plumper/gloss it has a lovely minty sensation , I'm not certain it plumps your lips as much as "lip injection" .... actually i know it doesn't BUT doesn't make me like it any less. I'm more likely to use the clear side on its own rather than use them both at the same time.
