Moisturizers -First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream
FadetoSparkle 2/21/2013 3:36:00 PM
I've been using this for about a year now. I've always had very sensitive and dry skin, and this is the only moisturizer that has ever helped my skin. It can be pricey but it's worth it. It sinks into skin right away leaving it feeling super soft and hydrating. Most dry skin themed moisturizer seem to just sit on top of skin with with a coating but this really does sink right in. I haven't experienced any irritation either, apparently the Eucalyptus Oil bothers some but this product actually CALMS my skin and leaves hydrated. I use this every night and now I find my skin to be less and less dry, it's not red and irriated looking either so I guess the Eucalyptus Oil only affects certain individuals.
This was the most disappointing thing from LUSH for me. I generally love their products but this just plain old smelled like a Laundry Detergent to me. I ended up just taking it back for honey I washed the kids!
Lip Treatments -Fusion Beauty - LipFusion Lip Plumping Gloss
FadetoSparkle 3/23/2009 12:07:00 AM
I was given this in a beauty bag at a special event, the gloss itself is wonderful. I had the color "Flirt" which is a soft baby pink. It worked perfect again my fair skin & it lasted for hours- which impressed me. I went a good 5 hours of it feeling weightless & soft on my lips (which to be honest, I haven't found too many glosses like that) It wasn't sticky or heavy at all. I didn't really find it plumping though. This gloss would be a HG if it wasn't for the price. I gave it 4 stars because it's a GOOD lipgloss but $38.00 for lipgloss is RIDICULOUS. This is nice, but it's not worth the price in any way since it's claim to fame is making your lips pouty. The only amazing thing it does for me is lasting. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd actually get it when this runs out but there's no way I'd spend that much money on a gloss that's only saving grace is how well it lasts. I'd advise you to save your money or at least shop on ebay or some other site for it, don't waste your money on it.
I love this! With the exception of butterball, the bombs aren't moisturizing at all, I opt for the amazing/yummy scents. This smells so heavenly. It smells like someone dumped a giant bowl of sweet honey into hot water, it smells so good! It scented my entire bathroom for the rest of the day & as soon as someone walked in the house they were able to detect it. It's not sickly sweet, it's just sweet & relaxing. The messes they've made in the tub or the color it turned the water doesn't faze me as long as the scent does the trick & this one does.
Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Creamed Almond and Coconut Smoothie soap
FadetoSparkle 3/22/2009 11:55:00 PM
I'm a massive LUSH fan but this was just one that I never loved. It doesn't have a pleasant smell to me, it has a plasticy fake smell (I've tried it from the UK & here in the USA) Plus it doesn't lather whatsoever which I'd be fine with if it left me feeling moisturized but it unfortunately doesn't :(
This definitely gets rid of every ounce of dead skin on your body, theres no denying that. If you have sensitive skin or even pale, you're skin may be red for a while after this. It's worth it though, you'll feel very smooth & soft, although it may feel oily at first but it seems to fade away quickly. This is the best thing to use before any self tanner!
Bath Treatments -LUSH - Glitterbug Iridescent Massage Bar
FadetoSparkle 3/22/2009 11:37:00 PM
This is my #1 favorite product from LUSH. It smells so divine. I wish this was actually a perfume. This really works as a bath melt or just on the skin, but it looks amazing on my legs for going out at night. It's light irridescent glitter, not super bright so against pale skin, you won't even notice until some sort of light hits you. When I've applied it over self tanner, it gave that pretty shimmy effect. I honestly love it mainly for the scent though, it's so subtle & sweet smelling. If you're a glitter fan, you definitely need this.
This is actually one of my favorite bars. They always offer it with Retro Lush so even though it's discontinued, it's always brought back multiple times during the year. This bar seems really meant to just be enjoyed with a loved one. It tastes just like chocolate peppermint but it does not sink in whatsoever, it does leave a residue so if I were to use it just as a moisturizer, it WILL stain your sheets & it won't sink into your skin. From my experience, this really works best when you're using it on someone, unless it's licked off or washed off- I just don't see it working like the other massage bars ;)
Bath Treatments -LUSH - Vanilla Fountain Bath Ballistic
FadetoSparkle 3/22/2009 11:28:00 PM
I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I absolutely love vanilla scents, there really isn't a vanilla scent out there that is too strong for me. I don't mind the colored water that any of the bath bombs give, my problem with this particular product is, this isn't your traditional vanilla. This is a vanilla musk. I was a little shocked when I opened it if I'm being entirely honest, I was expecting a sweet vanilla scent to pop out, instead I got what you'd expect store perfume of Vanilla Musk to smell like. I don't hate the scent, It's just not one of my favorite products.
Gosh, I hate to be the downer for it but this is one of my least favorite products. I've been a huge devoted fan of LUSH for years. I've tried it from England & here in the USA but it's always the same. I don't get an amazing scent for one, I get an eggy custard smell but it's very faint. It doesn't seem to moisturize all that well for me either. It feels kind of oily at first but an hour later, nothings changed. I know it has a cult following but I just dont see it I guess.
Being a huge glitter fan, I was thrilled to get this from sephora. There's 5 mini glitter pencils that are in black, blue, aqua, silver, navy. They're all gorgeous colors but the biggest problem? They don't last! I tried all the shades and the glitter wasn't really popping (which could work for people who want a slight sheen to them, I hardly noticed any glitter to be honest) but no matter which color I tried, they lasted for no more than 3 hours. I even got desperate & put my urban decay primer potion on as eyeliner to see if that would help but again, by the time mid day came, they were barely there. I was hesistant to return them but there's not really a point if they don't last :(
I was a little shocked at how well this mascara actually worked. I applied 2 coats and wow...my lashes looked extreme. People actually thought I was wearing fake eyelashes. I love the fact that it never smudges or goes on heavy either. When I take it off, all I do is apply a make up remover & gently swipe my lashes & all the tubes come off. This is way better than blinc mascara in my opinion. This gives you ridiculously long eyelashes. The only way this can backfire is if you apply too much of it, a little goes a long way. If you don't have sparse thin eyelashes, you may only need ONE coat.
Treatments -Avene - Diacneal Acne Treatment [DISCONTINUED]

This product is a HG for someone who has breakouts or for someone who is trying to repair their skin from past breakouts. If you have sensitive skin, it's best to use it every other night until your skin can work with it. However my skin is more along the lines of combo & has no ounce of sensitivity whatsoever so I just dove in. You shouldn't have any problems with this if you have used retin a in the past, had chemical peels, or glycolic peels- your skin should quickly adjust to this if you've exposed it to those things before. Surprisingly, I put this off for the longest time but I'm glad I finally gave it a try. My skin hasn't been irritated or peeled in any way. My skin feels smooth, looks healthy, & it really does fade any red marks you have. This is something to definitely give a try, I'm amazed at how well this works. The best price seems to be from http://skincarecentral.biz/skincare-acne.html
My main issue was that this smudged & flaked no matter what was done, oddly enough, it seemed to dry out rather quickly too. I never even saw any kind of amazing lashes either. Waste of good money
This product doesn't really do anything. It leaves behind a sticky residue on your hands so using it as a hand cream just didnt work and using it on your hair doesn't yield any results. I can only see this working for a quick fix if you had a hair sticking up.
