Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Taylor Swift Wonderstruck

I did not actually purchase this fragrance, but I tried it a couple times at department stores. I find it to be very sweet and overpowering, but the scent fades fairly quickly from the skin. It smells differently on everyone because of our various makeups, but I find that it smells like a mixture of Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy and Britney Spears' Fantasy when sprayed on my skin. I feel as though this fragrance is best for a younger audience. I hope this helps!

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion

I was searching for a very moisturizing lotion that does not irritate my acne prone skin and this works very well! Although it is a bit greasy on the skin, I would much prefer a dewey glow than a dry, flakey complexion. So in that area I do not really have any complaints. It is an awesome winter moisturizer, especially for the night time. I think this may be a bit too heavy for the summer so I will probably just use it as a nighttime moisturizer then and stick with an spf moisturizer for the day. My one complaint is that it does not have spf. However, I highly recommend this product to anyone whose skin is irritated very easily or has acne prone skin. Edit: This worked for my very well when my skin was dry and irritated during the winter months, but I started developing cystic acne as soon as the weather started warming up. I stopped using this and my skin began to slowly clear. So use this with caution if you are acne prone!

Scrubs -Clinique - Exfoliating Scrub

This scrub is amazing!!!! I have been using the St. Ives apricot scrub for the past 6 years, but was never quite happy with the results. Since it was so highly rated, I just assumed that the best scrubs were like this and there wasn't really anything better out there. How wrong I was!! The exfoliating beads are so fine, yet extremely condensed. You can literally feel the dry, flakey skin on your face being sloughed off. Even after the very first use, my skin felt so much softer and smoother than it ever had after using the apricot scrub. This exfoliant is very effective, yet gentle on the skin. Although the price is a little steep for such a small container, a little goes a long way so it does last quite a while. I am so happy I stumbled upon this scrub! Hopefully this helps!

Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips - Gel CreamLiner Trio - Blue Eyes

This eyeliner is awesome! I was contemplating buying either a blue, brown, or black gel eyeliner from M.A.C. but found this little bundle with all three colours that I wanted to purchase! I have used the liners nearly every single day for the past couple months and still have plenty of product left, so you definitely get some bang for your buck. As well, the three colours look awesome on blue eyes. The black is very dramatic and makes my eyes stand out, the blue is very fun and makes the whites of my eyes look brighter, and the brown contrasts the colour of my eyes very nicely and makes them pop! I like that the three colours are attached to one another so I don't have to fish around for the different colours in my makeup drawer. On the other hand, I do have a few minor complaints about this product. I wish this would come in waterproof! If it were, I would definitely give it a 5/5. Because of this, it does flake a bit by the end of the day, which can be a bit troublesome if you wear contacts. As well, the brush that it comes with is quite fat, which makes it tough to draw a nice smooth line above my lash line. Also, the bristles tend to stick out a bit and spread on more product than I would like. Luckily I had another liquid eyeliner brush that I could pair with this product. Hint: If you don't like the brush, rather than going out a buying a new one, use the little brush that comes in a tube of liquid eyeliner after you've finished the product. I hope this helps!

I absolutely love this pillow spray! I received it from a friend many years ago, but sadly have not found it in any stores since I ran out of product. I hope this was not discontinued! I used one or two spritzes on my pillow each night and the scent really helped me relax. After a while I'm pretty sure that the scent alone made me sleepy just from using it right before bed so many times. I would not go as far as to say that this product cures insomnia or anything like that; however, I do recommend it for anyone who needs something to promote relaxation before bed. I hope this helps!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One

I finally found a mascara that does not smudge on my upper lids!! I have long eyelashes and most mascaras smudge all over my brow bones and upper lids when the tips of my eyelashes touch them. I wasn't even planning on buying this mascara, but I had a $3 off coupon for Rexall and figured I would try it. It has a very unique brush and it's flexible. I thought it might be weird to use, but I really like it. It helps me get the little lashes around the edges that I can't always get with a normal brush. As for the formula, it does have a bit of an odd smell, even when I first opened the package, but I've gotten used to it so it doesn't bother me anymore. Although this is not the waterproof version, it does not run at all on windy, snowy days, like every single L'oreal mascara has in the past. I can honestly say that I will never use another L'oreal mascara again because this is by far superior to any of those products. I hope this helps!

Cleansers -Clinique - Rinse-off foaming cleanser

I absolutely love this cleanser! It's perfect for the winter when my skin tends to get dry, flaky patches. Contrary to other reviews I have read for this product, there is no noticeable smell and it definitely does not leave any sort of film on my face. This product does sting quite a bit when I get it in my eyes. I gave this a 4/5 because it doest not fully remove all of my makeup and I can always find traces of it on the cotton ball after I tone my face with the #3 clarifying lotion. However these two products together get my face super clean and smooth. As well, although the package says to follow with the three-step system, I leave out the liquid facial soap. It really isn't necessary. After I use this cleanser and tone my face, I use the dramatically different moisturizing gel. These three products work very well together! I hope this helps!

Powder -New York Color - Smooth Skin Pressed Powder

This product is decent for the price. It absorbs oil and makes my skin look really smooth. However, if too much is applied, it makes my face look very flat and cakey. I bought the translucent one because it was the only powder that was light enough to match my skin tone. The biggest negative about this product is the fact that it really irritated my eyes. I like to set my under eye concealer, so that was a definite turnoff. As well, if any flakes got into my eyes, they caused tiny scratches to form on my contact lenses. I have never had this happen to me before with any other powder. So in conclusion, if you just want a super cheap powder, this is an okay product, however I do not recommend this powder to contact lens wearers.

Top/Base Coats -Revlon - Extra Life Top Coat

Although this product is not perfect, it is still the best top coat I've ever used. It keeps my O.P.I. nail polish chip free for roughly 4 days without any touchups while other top coats chip after only 1 or 2 days. I am still hoping for something that will help my nail polish last for a week, because I'm attending university and do not have time to frequently redo my nails. Additionally, many reds and dark colours that I own transfer slightly onto the brush and have started discolouring the liquid. However, I do like that this product dries fairly quickly. Hopefully this helps!

Conditioner -Garnier - Fortifying Cream Conditioner For Dry Or Damaged Hair

This conditioner did not work for me at all. I have very long, soft, straight and manageable hair, but decided to use this just to add some extra moisture to my hair. I usually use salon brands such as Redken or Paul Mitchell, however I decided to give this a try since it was dirt cheap. I can see why it was so cheap. First, I absolutely hated the packaging. It was very difficult to get the conditioner out of the bottom without it getting everywhere. The cap just was not thought out very thoroughly. Second, it smelled very nice in the bottle, but the scent does not last on my hair. Third, this product is not moisturizing at all! I usually have awesome hair and this just made my hair tangle and frizz. I have never had frizzy hair in my life! Also, a small amount of product does not do anything. Every time I use this conditioner, I end up putting an overflowing handful onto my hair. I'm honestly just trying to get rid of this as quickly as I can because I want to purchase something else. I have started using it as a nice shaving cream to make my legs soft... However, I did buy it on sale, so it isn't much of a loss. Even though this conditioner is extremely cheap, don't even waste your money on it. You'll probably end up shaving your legs with it like me. I hope this helps!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Waterproof

I really like the way this mascara separates and elongates my lashes, however after about an our or so the tips of my lashes leave black smudges under my eyebrows. I guess I'm lucky that I have long lashes, but I should at least be able to go a couple hours without my mascara smudging all over my face. I've even tried using primers and powders on my eyelids to prevent this, but it always manages to sneak its way onto my skin. On the other hand, I do like that it is very waterproof and does not come off with water alone. Hopefully this helps!

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer

I absolutely love this product! It has awesome coverage and no matter how dark your under eye circles are, this will conceal them! Also, a little goes a long way so this product lasts a very long time. It can be slightly drying during the winter because it is quite thick, so make sure to wear a moisturizer underneath. I have been using this product for the past 5 years and have not found anything that compares. I also love that it has spf 35! I hope this helps!

Liquid -Clinique - Superbalanced Foundation

I really like this product. I purchased this foundation in Breeze and it works very well for summer when my skin is slightly darker. However, I wish that they would come out with some lighter shades of makeup because it is almost too dark for my skin tone during the winter. I love how this products has a very natural finish and doesn't make my skin appear too matte or too oily. It's nice and light, but can be layered for fuller coverage. I hope this helps! Now that the summer has passed, I'm going to have to update this review. This foundation worked very well during the winter, spring and fall, but during August and September when the weather was warm, this foundation did not adhere to my face. It made my skin look very greasy, I was blotting every couple of hours and did not have any lasting power whatsoever. If you want something nice and moisturizing for the colder months, this is a good foundation, however when the weather gets above 10 degrees celsius, this is not the optimal foundation for combination / oily skin types. So I will not be repurchasing this after all.
