Just like it's namesake, this lip color is the perfect balance of modern and classic, elegant and fun, and vibrant yet subdued. I'm fairly new to red lipstick and as much as I love a bright lip, on me red can make me feel self conscious and awkward as I feel it shows off negatively my wide mouth and full lips. I was looking for a color to wear on special occasions, "low maintenance", and most of all, flatters my skin tone. I tried this out at Sephora and loved it. It filled all the tabs. When swatched it looks like a perfectly neutral red but on me it looks exactly like the color of red delicious apples. It shows off my mouth area in the best way possible, makes my teeth look even more gorgeous, and makes my drowsy eye area look sharp and bright. It makes me look and feel sexy. I'm told I usually have a sweet, gullible look to my expression. People have stopped to gawk, point, awe, and compliment when I wear it. I feel amazing when I wear it. I really felt like I'd imagined Cruella felt in the 101 Dalmantions series and movies...just plain unstoppable, glamorous, and fabulously fabulous. I'm a MAC NC42 and NC 45 in the Summer (right now) and it looks great. You cannot do wrong with this product. In fact, if you're a makeup newbie (maybe even a progressive makeup dummy like me) you will not, cannot fail. I sometimes abhor the packaging, as you have to sharpen it, but I also think that helps to have a better control of the color and apply the color beautifully. You don't need a lip brush, a lip liner, maybe a sealer or anything like that. A sharpener and some lip gloss and you will be in the bridge to gorgeous yet simple perfection. For me it is my staple when I want to glam up with no effort.

I have not tried the Clarisonic, but if its supposed to be ¨better¨than this, this has actually made me not want to check it out. I find that this did a very mediocre job on my skin. My products didn´t really sink any better, my skin really didn´t glow any much...it didn´t do anything for me really. Sugar does an infinitely better job than this for me. Then again I´m 20, almost 21, with ¨normal¨ and slightly dry skin w/no history of acne, and my cells are technically replacing themselves in steady roation. In short I have nothing to worry about yet. And this does nothing for me. So in my opinion, if you feel your skin looks fine for the moment and whatever you´re using does a great job on you according to YOU, don´t buy this. Just a ¨meh¨product for me...for now (who knows in 10 years *_-).
My beloved hair fatty!!!! This will forever be in my arsenal. Even if its not natural or organic, as are a lot of products for people with transitioning hair. But this is wonderful, wonderful stuff. On my very dry, scroched, thin sharpie ultra fine line thick strands, relaxed/transitioning 4a hair, this is heaven. I slather it on my dry hair cand leave it on for about 24hrs. Just normal, 5-6 days from last week´s washed hair, and kaboom, my hair feels and looks like silk. It detangles my hair greatly and leaves your hair looking so healthy. My transitioning areas feel so soft. A friend of mine ¨deep fried¨my hair using a flat iron since I wanted my hair straight for an award at school, and after I used this, you´d think it never happened. It looks like my hair did when I first relaxed it. If your hair is very damaged and or dry, this is a great great to have.

Great little tweezers that get down to the smallest hairs. And they´re cheap, really cheap. And easy to find. A win-win all around.
I thought there would be no ¨beauty¨products that can do it all. But honestly, this gets close. It freshens breath, removes tartar (and keeps you from getting it), decreases tooth sensitivity (at least on my part), and keeps breath fresh. It also saves me the hassle of whitening my teeth often, this since makes them brighter and keeps stains away. And i drink a lot of coffee, my being a notorious earl greay drinker and novice into the Teavana world. I´m one of those people that have always loved going to my dentist just to see the happy look on his face when I go in for my check ups. He literally beams when he sees I´ve no tartar, no nothing. And people have always complemented on my teeth, asking me if they are real. Best toothpaste ever! Yes, that sounded corny but its really true.
I use this one my knees and elbows. I find it does an excellent job or brightening those areas and removing ingrown hairs from my elbow area. But I find it does a mediocre job of lightening the areas. My elbows are always dark becuase I have a bad tendency to lean on them and hoped this would do the job of brightening them. Not bad but not great.
Top/Base Coats -China Glaze - Strong Adhesion Base Coat
EternityintheRain 3/21/2012 7:15:00 PM
In my opinion, the most versatile nail product I´ve found. As a base, it makes any nail polish last on average 5-6 days, with little to no chipping. By itself, it makes nails look fresh and clean, freshly buffed. But my favorite way to apply this is right after I finished putting a color to my nails. Basic explanation...use this as a base, then put in your fav nail color, then top it with this, and then...top this with Seche Vite! Yes, this makes a great primer to Seche Vite, and for those of us who may not have the best precision in the world, this saves you from having that dreaded streaky look from using Seche Vite incorrectly. And makes your nail last into the next week if you´d like. Overall, lovely base coat that truly covers all the bases, from covering ridges and splits, to leaving your nail with a soft and even surface.
This scrub/mask is one of the best feeling products I´ve evedr tried...you get this warm sensation all over your face, which feels so relaxing. And together with the clay smell...it feels like I´m in a spa getting a facial. But the results on me are very mediocre for the price. I get the same results with sugar and face cleanser for about $15.00 cheaper. Overall, truly wonderful product, but honestly, unless you´re lazy, try sugar and soap. To me this is one of those products that could be considered a ¨folly¨.
This product doesn´t need more reviews really, they all say what needs to be said. But for my two cents...nothing dries 2-3 coats of polish faster than this does. And maintain a gorgeous shiny coat. It doesn´t last a great deal of time, but when I truly need my nails to impress, like when I´m wearing China Glaze´s Ruby Pumps, nothing brings out the shimmer best. The only reason why I gave it a 3 was because the formula is hard to work with, at least for me. I have yet to learn to apply it properly, and wish the packaging of the product provided the correct instruction I just learned here so this product gets used by those of us who no nothing of MUA. Or are nail professionals at least.
If anyone ever doubted the importance of brows in your overall look, look no further than this little book. There´s a reason why some people are WILLING to shell out $60.00 to ¨professional¨ to maintain their brows, and not just to keep up with current trends. They do make a difference to their overall appearance. Before reading this book I thought my brows were an evil menace that should be tortured with every single type of waxing and hair removal method I find. I was never satisfied with the way my brow ladies styled my brows, whether they used threading, tweezing, or waxing. I found I always looked the same. Thanks to this book I took manners into my own hands and decided to shape them myself. I learned I can make any shape possible with some brow pencil, brow gel ( or clear mascara), some tweezers, and some brow scissors. Yes, even Audrey Hepburn ¨Sabrina¨ era brows. And yes, they were tinted. I´ve never recieved so many compliments on my face (and I get a lot, not bragging) nor have I noticed such a remarkable difference. One of the things I now get remarked often for, other than my lips or skin are my brows. My friends and family now rely on me to do their brows. And I make extra money from doing them. I do them often. The book itself is very ingormative and leaves nothing unventured. The only thing I truly dislike about the book are the pictures, as many have said before me. They have an awful 80s feeling to it. I didn`t mind the formating so much, I felt it gave it an air of....¨feminininity¨, you know like those vintage beauty books? Books that had frills yet were no nonsense at the same time. If you feel your brows could use a change, then truly look no further than this book before spending on someone else to do them. If you don´t mind someone else doing them, fine. But, like the massage of this book, you won´t believe the difference you could make yourself, with the right tools, at the privacy of your own home. For me it is a fun, yet relaxing process. And I´ve saved a ton of money doing them on my own. Highly, highly, recommend this book. P.S: I can´t wait to buy brow stencils!!!!
If there was such a thing as a perfect red, as in that gorgeous orange based red of Valentino dresses, then this is it my friends. And it is about $2000+ cheaper than a Valentino red dress at $1.99. I´m a darker skinned girl, my skintone being exactly similar to that of Misfit´s Antonia Thomas´, and this makes my ¨manhands¨ look a thousand times more delicate. It somehow amps up my usual look and it looks great on pedicures in any time of the year. The formulation is excellent, as this is a creme with absolutely no glitter but tons of shine. It is not too thick and not at all streaky. It does chip in about 4 days or so, but I use China Glaze Strong Adhension Base Coat and top it with Revlon Quick Dry top coat. With them it lasts two weeks with no chipping. At all.China Glaze Ruby pumps is or was my signature nail polish color. Now it looks too christmasey compared to this sexy color.
I can´t rave enough about this line. The shampoo is the prelude to what in my opinion, will send you straight away to hair heaven. This leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, and my scalp feeling ¨light¨without actually drying them out. The smell is very sexy in my opinion, kinda reminds me of a light and creamy version of Dior´s Poison. I often use this when i feel my hair needs a moisture surge, by also adding the treatment and conditioner. But most of the time I use it every other week. All around good stuff.
best conditioner I´ve come across. This makes my hair feel like the most expensive satin in the world. When I come out after having an in-house hair day, my hair looks gorgeous. People stop to comment on the scent. And I receive compliments galore. The condition and health of my hair has taken a 360. It look and feel so much smoother, as if i´ve never relaxed it. People have consistently told me my hair doesn´t look as if it is relaxed, rather just straightened curly hair. I have seldom to any hair fallout and my hair growth while transitioning is not giving me any problems. At this rate, I will not have to do the ¨big chop¨ until later this year, when my growth will be up to my neck. I am truly happy I´ve found this and wholeheartedly recommend it. A big plus, Sally´s just came out with the liter size! I´ve even sent a box load of this to family in the Dominican Republic and gave them to my girlfriends as Christmas gifts during the Holiday season. They all love it.

This isn´t necessarily a bad product per say, but it did no wonders for my hair. It just didn´t feel or look that different when I used it. It does however, make a hardy heat protector. I rarely flat iron because it burns my hair, and this product left it looking healthy and smooth looking. The smell is nutty, kinda like a woodsy man´s perfume. I don´t know what else to say really, to me, it is a really lack luster product, ofr my hair. I´ve seen this work on my Cambodian best friend and it leaves her hair looking amazing. And of my softly curled frieds and mother as well. So I guess it depends really on your hair type and what you´re looking for. But in my opinion, I´ve come across much better.
For the last number of years, I´ve had an ongoing battle with my hair: It is realxed 3c/4a textured hair that no matter what I did, always look fried and dried. My hair is perfectly healthy, but it never felt like it was. it was long, it is thick and I have lots of it, but it always felt rough. So when I saw the difference one try of this product did for my hair, I went to my local Sally´s...and bought every one they had left. I just work that way, lol. The cashier looked at me like I was nuts. I took my cap off and showed her my hair. She and the women behind me started touching and rubbing it and ooing and ahhing. Yes my friends, this thing is genius. It is cheap, works, and makes your hair feel strong and soft and shiny. Like it was when you were a little girl (or boy). My ends are no longer dry and puffy. My hair is also retaining length longer. Right now I´m 6 months into my transition and this is smoothing my ride. I can´t wait until Nov. of this year and cut the relaxed hair off. This has made me love my hair, relaxed or natural. I highly recommend this. Just a beautiful product all around. P.S: This is even more marvelous with a clarifying shampoo. The product sinks in much better, and my hair comes out a zillion times shinier. Just a heads up.
