This cleanser stays in the closet most of the time. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's big into removing makeup. However, when I have a time I'm breaking out, I I go to this. It just seems to clear out congestion, and make breakouts behave. I actually LOVE the scent of this cleanser.
Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder

This is one of my all time favorite powders. It is SO finely milled, it gives a beautiful finish. I use N1 and have repurchased it many times.
Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin
EstheticianJen 2/7/2010 11:50:00 AM
It is pleasant enough to use, and I love the little scrubby, but honey, this cleanser is meant for OILY sensitive skin. If I had oily, sensitive skin I might be in love, but I have dry skin and this stuff stripped my face like you wouldn't believe! It is SO drying! It seemed to do a good job of removing face make up, but I also don't wear longwear make up, so I can't answer to its strength with that. It DOES take off eye makeup like a CHAMP, including Voluminous Carbon Black, which I often have some issue removing. I guess I won't take it back, but I will pass the cleanser on to a friend who has the right skin type for it. Oh well.
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Sheer Infusion Body Lotion
EstheticianJen 2/7/2010 11:45:00 AM
So far, so good. I've only used it on my hands twice, but that's a pretty decent indicator, seeing as how they usually look like kamodo dragon claws, lol. In theory I don't like glycerin moisturizers, but i'll give this a chance. I bought botanical scent. At first the scent is quite strong and I regretted it, but within 5 minutes it faded WAY down to just a pleasant, innocuous, fresh scent. That is VERY important to me. I can't use most DS products bc of scents. I will say this is WAY too pricey for a DS brand for the amount of lotion and if it isn't dramatically better than Aveeno, I'll never buy it again. So far, it's drying down to a nice finish. Very soft, but not greasy, overly moist, or sticky at all. I'm impressed. I will update my review as I use it. One warning to those who are contemplating use on their faces, it seems to have a lot of isopropyl myristate in it, which is a pretty serious comedogen, so be warned you could pay in the form of clogged pores.
I used this for a while, kept getting compliments, decided to switch to Retin-A Micro, looked like a hag, and now I'm using this 5 times a week w/ Retin-A 2x/week. Glowing. Actually, even when I was using this solo I was glowing. I don't like the strong smell, but I'm asleep 20 minutes after I use it, so no matter. It is the perfect amount of moisture for me, plus I cannot deny the overall brightening and refining effects of this product. I am so truly grateful that it's a drugstore brand! Love it, love it, love it! I will never go without it again. What was I thinking?
I think I made a comment about in the Realness of Concealness review, but I just have to say that don't know how I EVER lived without this. I actually use it on lids and beneath my eyes. I then put foundation over it and powder. Every once in a while it creases beneath my eyes, but certainly no worse than any other. I have been sick as a dog before and had people tell me how fabulous I look (not knowing I'm sick). It makes you look AWAKE. I love this and will never be without it.
I LOVE this stuff! It so thoroughly emulsifies makeup, oil, and dirt. I always use a cleanser afterwards. I don't use it on my eyes bc I did once and it stung a lot. I don't use it everyday and the bottle has lasted me well over a year. I will definitely repurchase this!
Good Lord I LOVE this stuff. It's magnificent. I feel so wonderful and energized (but still relaxed). I will keep on buying it for as long as they make it!
Gels/Soaps -Molton Brown - Heavenly Gingerlily Moisture Bath and Shower
EstheticianJen 11/19/2008 9:55:00 AM
I only used a sample of this, but then had to re-wash myself because the scent is so unbelievably strong. I personally thought it had an "old-lady perfume" smell to it. It just knocked me over. for what it's worth, it didn't seem too drying.
Styling Products -Graham Webb - Halo Volumizing Mousse
EstheticianJen 10/11/2008 11:22:00 AM
At first I didn't know how I felt about this mousse, but then came back to it and it is one of the only products in my huge Rubbermaid bin of misfit products that really, truly gives me a ton of volume and style. I have naturally straight, fine hair and this makes it poufy. Curls actually hold (this is nothing short of a miracle in my hair, by the way.) I personally think it cuts down on shine a little, but I finally have TEXTURE in my hair, and I don't mind the trade-off. I'd give it 4.5 lippies if I could.
Self Tanners -Paula's Choice - Almost the Real Thing-Self Tanning Gel
EstheticianJen 8/10/2008 1:28:00 PM
For what it's worth, I do think this is expensive; however, I do think it's entirely WORTH EVERY PENNY! This was SO easy to apply, especially once I applied moisturizer as suggested on the bottle. Her products are always so easy to apply/have great slip. It went on faster than any tanner I've ever used, certainly faster than any lotion. Smell was literally nothing. This gave me the most gorgeous, "reddish" tan I've ever had. I've gotten more compliments on my "tan"! It gave me a truly realistic color. It's a redder tan than Savage Bronze was, but equally realistic. I am so relieved because I thought I would die without Savage Bronze. I will repurchase this over and over.
Bought this on MUA recommendations recently for my vacation. Hard to find for me---had to go to Wal-Mart. Anyhew, this gave me a great gradual tan that I then boosted with Paula's Choice tanner. No one on the vacation got as great a tan as I did. :) Smell was fabulous and the afterstink was minor at worst. I was able to wear this and go out in public, which is a new one for me. Usually I have to apply before bedtime and shower before going in public. A definite plus. Color was really nice/no orange.
I have yet to figure out how to wear the Emmett part, but holy smokes do I love the "Elle" part!!!! I thought that crazy, orangey, corally, pink color would NEVER look good on any human being, but I swear it's sheer but still substantial and looks great on. I personally don't like the smell; it makes my throat tickle and feel a little gaggy. It's like a malted milk vanilla smell and I don't like it, but it fades quickly enough and I really like this gloss.
Shampoo -Sexy Hair Concepts - healthy sexy hair soy milk shampoo
EstheticianJen 6/23/2008 9:21:00 PM
This is for the sulfate-free chocolate---I am madly in love with this shampoo. Just to get this out of the way, yes, it smells like heaven. This stuff gives me fluffy, shimmery hair. I can honestly say it is the first salon shampoo I've ever felt was truly worth the money...and I buy all this stuff at cost. I would actually buy this retail. I use it with Abba Moisture Scentsation conditioner (I don't remember what they changed the name to) and I get more compliments on my shiny, healthy (oh so bleached and colored) hair. I just love it.
Sunscreen -Paula's Choice - Pure Mineral Sunscreen SPF15
EstheticianJen 6/3/2008 5:19:00 PM
I think this stuff is great! I could NOT believe how easily it spread, compared to every other sunscreen I've ever used. Completely non-irritating, even near eyes. Makeup application over it was beautiful. I can definitely see where people are saying it's difficult to remove. After I had cleansed my face, I still felt its presence. Although I didn't see a white cast at all on my first use, I did the next day, and I suspect that has to do with the day before layer still being intact. I would suspect that using PC makeup remover would solve this, though. I will definitely buy this again, because I think it's an extraordinarily elegant mineral susnscreen. Update: going to take off a lippy because it just shouldn't be that hard to remove and/or she should give pointers on how best to remove it.
