Mascara -Avon - Daring Definition Mousse Mascara
Enting 4/26/2006 4:35:00 AM
I like this mascara! I have it in brown/black, and it gives me very nice lashes. The reault is not that daring, but I don't want it to be anyways. It is however buildable. I also find the light texture of this one very appealing. The brush is good too. Not sure what else to say about it. A good, decent, relieable mascara. I will probably repurchase...

Lip Treatments -Labello - CareGloss and Shine Pink
Enting 4/26/2006 4:31:00 AM
Labello lipcare sitcks are of a very varying quality. Some of them are great, some are just worthless. The situation is however completely different when it comes to the CareGloss and Shine range. This is just pure genious all the way! At first, a few years ago I bought the tinted one (the color they refer to as mocha now). It is a great berry shade, but a little too brown for my taste. Then just a few months ago, I noticed they have this in pink now, and did not hesitate to get it. It is the best pink tinted lipbalm out there; in fact, it is the best pink lipgloss out there! It is nice and soft, keeps lips soft, hydrated and lush all day long. The color is exactly that of the tube, a lovely pastel pink with pearl shimmer. It does not have that ghastly whitish tone that many products like this do, it's just beautiful. It's glossy, but not in the porny way; it's colored, but you still do not look made up with this. It's ultra naturel. And the price is great too, they virtually give this one for free! This is a definite winner! I don't even need to get a regular lipstick or gloss anymore!

Lip Treatments -Dove - Natural Pink

No! Just no. Once again, the packaging is super cute, and the balm does actually leave a pretty nice pastel pink sheen on the lips. But overall, it's just a very lousy lipbalm. I'll just stop trying altogether with Dove lipbalms.

Lip Treatments -Yves Rocher - Baume Nature - Hydra-care lipbalms
Enting 4/21/2006 4:57:00 AM
This is my absolute HG lipbalm. It has a very very pleasant texture, and is extremely nourishing for the lips. It smells great too, nothing overpowering or chemical (YR is quite natural), but a nice almondy scent... I always put this on when I go to bed, and when I wake up, my lips feel just great (during the day I wear lipstick or gloss). Highly recommended, especially as it virtually does not cost anything.

Lip Treatments -Dove - Shimmering Silk Lipbalm
Enting 4/21/2006 3:39:00 AM
This was a shock to me as I'm ususally very fond of Dove products. The Shimmering Silk lipbalm, is a balm in stick form. The tube itself is just lovely (milky transparent top, and shimmering goldish bottom of the tube wich has a quite pretty shape, and the little Dove on it too...), but the balm is far less than that. Althugh it does seem to shimmer a bit, it is just a very lousy balm. I found it to be very watery and of an unpleasant texture. It certainly did not moisturise. I even gave it away if I remember it correctly, that's how much I could not stand it. I probably should have gotten the creamy, dark blue/white original version...

Deodorants -Dove - Dove deodorant/antipersperant original scent
Enting 4/21/2006 3:33:00 AM
My favourite! I keep buying this over and over again. Great scent, really creamy, and it does actually care for the skin too (I shave regulary and I never experience irritation or anything). It lasts me all day, even if I go to the gym, and I can feel the scent in the evening too. Love this! However, I have decided to resist it and not buy it again, because I want to get a natural deodorant without aluminium chlorohydrate and such in it...

Shampoo -Dove - Moisturising Shampoo
Enting 4/21/2006 3:30:00 AM
This is my favourite shampoo, I have not used anything else for a long time now. I have quite full hair which is curly and needs to be taken care of every second day because curly hair looks horrible when not fresh... Dove shampoo (and conditioner) does the work! My hair is healthy and shiny, has body yet feels light and silky. All this for a low price! I really love this shampoo, and will keep purchasing it.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Cream Oil Shower
Enting 4/20/2006 3:48:00 AM
I love this stuff!!!!! Definitely the best shower cream out there! It is so soft and pleasant to "work" with. It leaves not only a great smell (they do come in a variety of scents now, my fave is the regular one and Cherry Blossom), but it leaves skin soft. In fact, I have been too lazy to bother with body lotion these last couple of weeks, but I have noticed that my skin isn't that dry either. It just feels very normal, and I have been using this shower cream during this period. The bottles are so pretty too and shimmery, in fact I always keep fantasizing about findig eyeshadows and lipsticks in these colors. It really is so discrete and pretty. Also, Dove is absolutely affordable, so this is a total winner! I think I'll stay loyal to this shower cream as it not only looks attractive, but also does a great job.

Sunscreen -Vichy - Capital Soleil SPF30 creme
Enting 4/20/2006 3:25:00 AM
I'm not sure abou the others, but I'm rewieving the Capital Soleil SPF 30 cream for face and partcularly exposed areas. As many others, I have been struggling to find the right product ever since I've learned about the importance of a daily dose of sunscreen on the face. Although I only wear sunscreen from approx. mid April to sometime in October, I have had a lot of trouble finding a good one. Most products are very very oily and/or sticky like glue; real beach products. My regular face cream for sensitive skin does not contain SPF, and the ones that do, do not work well with my face (not to mention that the face creams with built in SPF mostly offer only low protection). Then I found this baby! This is a marvelous fantastic SPF cream for the face, that actually delivers what it claims. On the tube it says: Moisturising. Matte Result. And mark my words, it delivers both! Not only is my face now proctected, but it is fresh and well taken care of all day long, really nice and velvety to the touch (I do not put anything under it)! Forget about looking oily too; this baby is in fact matte! Also, it does not irritate my sensitive skin, sinks right in and smells divine. Adding that it offers maximum UVA protection and can be bought at a decent price, we have a winner. I'm so glad I finally found this. Definite repurchase, in fact, I might try other Vichy products as this is my first (other than a sample or two). Great, highly recommended by me.

Concealers -Yves Rocher - Luminelle concealer stick
Enting 4/18/2006 4:45:00 AM
Greatest concealer stick I have ever used. In fact, I really used to dislike concealer sticks, but this one is great! I'm a ppp, and have this in Beige Clair. It fits me perfect. This concealer is creamy, covers well and it's even moisturising. + There is a ton of product in there for virtually no money at all! I use this under my eyes, and it does not settle into fine lines. This is also what I cover up occasional blemishes with, and it works just as great there. I'll keep buying this, as it is more than perfect.

Blush -Yves Rocher - Luminelle Blush [DISCONTINUED]
Enting 4/18/2006 4:39:00 AM
I'm not sure about the other rewievs but mine concerns the Luminelle blush in the new packaging, and with the new formula and colors... I simply adore this cheap but perfect little product. I'm a ppp, and the Rose Douceur shade of this blush is perfect on me. It is a very natural, absolutely pale matte pink. I cannot go wrong with this. I just sweep on a little with my Lancome blusher brush, and it looks so fresh and natural. The packaging is very cute, with a pale lilac shimmery palstic bottom, and a see through plastic top. It's small and neat, easily transportable. This lovely little gem is another proof that cheap and basic often is the best. It also lasts on me all day (although I never touch my face), and looks just as great when I wash it off in the evening. Definite repurchase! This is an awesome and cheap blush :D

Skincare - Face -Yves Rocher - Bio Camille Soothing Day Cream
Enting 4/18/2006 4:22:00 AM
Over the years I have tried and used tons of skincare, most of which did not even work for me properly, partly due to the fact that I did not really realise that I have sensitive skin until recently. Ever since I stopped with the pills, my skin changed. After a 2 year period of acne, it never became as easily managed as it used to be, and my skin has been unbalanced for a period. When it is unbalanced, I get all bumpy, especially on the forehead, and blemishy. + My skin does not feel really comfortable. This product did however restore my skin, and now it not only feels great, but looks healthy and normal :) This cream totally calmed and balanced my face. I am no longer bumpy, the blemishes healed, and my skin is nice to the touch. It is just as hydrated as it needs to be, and it gets all the care without any irritation. I also love the delicate scent of this product, the texture which sinks right in, and the glass jar in the cute pink box. I'm definitely staying loyal to this line, and am going to get other products too from the line; it even has an anti-ageing product for sensitive skin! All I need now is an SPF product to protect my face during summer.

Eye Makeup Remover -Yves Rocher - Express Makeup Remover for Sensitive Eyes with Cornflower
Enting 4/18/2006 4:12:00 AM
Great two-phased eyemakeup remover. Leaves eyes fresh, and does not do any damage. In fact, it really conditions both eyes and lashes. Works super easy and effective + it's cheap too. Definite repurchase.

Lipstick -Lancome - Le Rouge Absolu - Rose Crystal
Enting 3/28/2006 3:17:00 AM
I got three of these as a part of a gift package. They are by no means bad, but somehow I don't like the feeling they give when they sort of dry onto the lips, even though they are very pleasant and creamy at first. Then they become a little crumbly and dryish, waxy almost. On the upside, they do come in a number of pretty colors, my fave was Rose Nu (European shade), which must be very similar to Rose Crystal, the shades often only differ in name between Europe and the US. I will not repurchase. It is not worth the price + there are way cheaper lipsticks out there with equal, or even better quality. Also, this one does have SPF in it, which is something I do not like and avoid in lip products.

Moisturizers -Weleda - Almond Face Cream
Enting 3/26/2006 10:48:00 AM
I have normal to dry(ish) skin, and have been using Weleda Almond Face cream as an addition to my other skincare items for a while now. This cream is absolutely perfect and superb. This does not only calm skin and heal blemishes in a second, it gives a healthy and vital complexion, that is just awesome to the touch. I love this. So natural, simple and perfect. The price is tolerable too. Personally, I don't mind the packaging either. It's classic and hygienic. Also, the metal tube somehow, in my mind at least, seems to keep the product inside more fresh in the long run. Thumbs up for a great product! Definite repurchase!!!
