Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorburst - Sunbaked
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 1/1/2013 8:47:00 PM

Liked what one the previous reviewers said this is very much like MAC's Cremesheen in Deelight. Which was my HG lipgloss! I probably have bought twenty of those! lol I like Sunbaked better now bc it is slightly more pink and less nude in color. I randomly picked Sunbaked up at Walgreens one day and soooo glad I did! It is truly a beautiful no fuss lip color. I wear it to work a lot bc it never looks like "I'm doing too much". The packaging is attractive, slim and looks high quality. The applicator is flatten doe-foot applicator. I actually liked it bc it bends a little as I apply it. I've heard good things in the Colorburst lip gloss line offered by Revlon and I look forward to checking out "Fire" and some others. I totally recc this to lip gloss lovers! especially is you love cremesheens!

Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 1/1/2013 6:48:00 PM

LOVE IT! I have never have spent $28 for any makeup remover before, but I knew I would love this! Every MAC SA I've spoke to about this uses it themselves religiously and whole-heartily recc. ( So do I) I use eye MU removers and feel like I lose lots of lashes. But the cleasnse off oil is sooooo gentle refreshing and kinda fun to use. I feel like I'm performing a magic trick when it feels like regular oil at first, then when you get it wet it turns into a milky lather! lol I actually look forward to using this! I love how my skin looks afterward. It smells like natural oils. Plus I don't have to follow up with more cleansing. I know this is going to become a beauty routine staple for me! This is a true winner!! :-)

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 4 of 5
Ellety 1/1/2013 6:38:00 PM

I love TF's e/s primer much better than UDPP bc it actually doesn't crease! I have oily lids so I think TF's formula works better for me. I got it when on Hautelook and they had a deal for $18 for this and a small 6 shade palette. I thought it was worth a shot! If I didn't like it, at least I'd have the palette. Good thing I liked them both! :) I like it but I don't love it. I reeeeeally love Lorac's Behind the Scene primer bc it's silkier and leave less of a color behind. I'd buy again bc it works, but not an absolute staple.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Havana
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 1/1/2013 6:29:00 PM

I bought Havana at a nearby CCO for $18. (Which is the most I've ever paid for a single e/s) I believe they went for about $20 when they were first released. I have tons of e/s and never am loyal to one. But Havana is different than anyother e/s I own. It is silky feeling and the e/s feels almost airy in the pan. I use this e/s more than any other e/s! When I apply it, it is a gorgeous antique gold on my deep skin. My favorite part is that HAvana looks like a different color depending on what part of the lid it lies on. I just put it from my inner lid to my outer lid and it looks like I smoked out the outer part of my eye. I LOVE THAT!! I use this whenever I'm in a hurry and don't have time to create a whole eye look for the day. Even though I initially thought it was expensive when i bought, I use it more than any e/s! I woulda paid full price plus a backup. ***lil heads up*** Don't try to depot these, I hear they only have a net bottom to the e/s and extra dimension skinfinishes. hopefully this helps you MUBs!

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 4 of 5
Ellety 12/27/2012 8:58:00 PM

Lovely application. I used to use the 109 brush with fix+, but I felt that I was beating the brush up and it was shedding all over. So I started using the urban decay optical blurring brush and it is pure perfection. price is okay, def not a steal. my color is NC50 which worked wells across my experiences with mac foundations This gives me a flawless face, matched with the pro long wear concealer. I really like a light-feeling flawless face, but everyone doesn't feel the same. I always get compliments saying that I have such beautiful skin when I wear this. Which is always the ultimate test if a new makeup product is working. :)

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 12/27/2012 8:42:00 PM

Easy to review on this... You need this in your life! lol dense, yet fluffy, multipurpose goat hair brush. (i avoided getting this brush for a loooong time bc i thought it was over-hyped and I thought I had many similar to it. truth is that this is a pretty unique brush that i absolutely love!)

Eyeliner -MAC - Liquidlast Liner - Point Black
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 12/20/2012 5:05:00 PM

I absolutely live for this liquid eyeliner! I crease in one of my lids and despise the look of liner that has creased to my upper lid. This liner does not budge and I like the applicator. It takes only about 30 secs to dry then it's there until you remove it with eye makeup remover. The only downfall is that it clumps up before the product is done. The other part I love about it is that it is the blackest black which is hard to find in a waterproof liner. I try as many different liners to achieve my winged eye look, but this works the best! (even compared to Makeup Forever's aqua eyes or drugstore brands) This is the ONE liner that I must have in my collection at all times! Highly recc'd!

Blush -NARS - Liberte
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 12/7/2012 12:29:00 AM

I really loved the warmth this blush gave me. The SA suggested it after she mentioned she tried that blush on another customer with deep skin and she loved it too! This is a color that I don't think will work on all girls, but it's one worth trying. *Heard Rihanna wore this blush at the Golden Globes this year ; )* Not that makes a difference, just wanted to share the knowledge! Specifics: Warm terracotta colored matte blush. Smooth in texture, amazing color payoff, last for atleast 6 hours. Cost me $28 at Sephora

Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 12/6/2012 11:51:00 PM

HG highlighter! I was like many others that didn't "get" Albatross. Well, outta curiosity on how horrible it was going to swatch on my deep skin, I tested it in Sephora. Needless to say I was shocked the white pan swatched a glorious sheer golden color! Complex color that isn't quite gold or silver. I loved the way it made my skin glow! This highlighter works wonderfully especially when I use my NARS Outlaw blush. I recc'd to any WOC, you'll love it too!!

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
rated 4 of 5
Ellety 12/2/2012 11:54:00 PM

I like the MAC Pro Longwear concealer. I actually don't even have to set it with powder. It does not cake up on me. I do not have time for touch-up throughout my day at work, so it is nice I can trust this concealer to stay in place. I like how the NC50 concealer is a lot warmer than the NC50 Studio Sculpt so that it would compliment each other without doing makeup math in your head about what would fit best. For example, for a NC50, the MUA matched me to a NW40 Mineralize Concealer. (Which i don't like as much as the Pro Longwear concealer. To be honest though, the MUA taught me to mix the highlighter pen in Bright Forecast with this concealer...I loved the glowed-out/Kim K. look so much, I've never worn this concealer alone! As far as packaging goes, it is blahhh. it is very hard, maybe impossible to keep the pump from getting messy. As you use the product, the bottle does not empty gracefully. I want my makeup to look pretty even if it's half full. Maybe MAC could of frosted out the bottle a little. But I don't think I waste too much product with this design. Overall: I'm semi-new to the concealer world, but I have had a good experience with the Pro Longwear concealer. It is worth a try,if you are on the market for a long lasting concealer.

Palettes -LORAC - PRO Palette
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 12/2/2012 11:17:00 PM

Lorac really WOWed me with the PRO palette! I usually just buy UD palettes for their pigmentation and variety, but not necessarily for their functionality. So.... when I saw the PRO Palette it was love at first swatch! :) For my NC50 skin it is important to only buy quality shadows with superior pigmentation. The PRO palette achieved this! I can easily use this palette every single day with a new look! I sometimes feel like I have a million shimmer shades, so I was ecstatic to see the choice in the palette. The color payoff in each shade is high and it is as soft as butter. You must be lighthanded when picking up color. The matte shades are my favorite part. I even use Espresso for my eyebrows. love it! Taupe is a great shade for cleaning up the edges of my look. Sable is an amazing transition shade. The black is dead on, love it! I have never used every color but one in any other pre-made palette! The shimmers shade are interesting choices that I love! I use Pewter the most, but Garnet, Deep Purple and Lt. Bronze are all completely unique shades. (I hate how some palettes have 10 golds, with no variety) The packaging is sleek and feels nice to the touch. Problem is that it is cardboard and I don't see it being super durable. On the other hand, you have to be super gentle with this palette. I have gotten into depotting all my pre-made palette and I know I cannot do this with the PRO palette bc I'm afraid the shadows are too fragile. :-/ I wish Lorac would sell individual shades in pans. But I can't have it al! Overall: This should be in the arsenal to any MUB! Wonderful quality awesome price of $42 for all the color choices. Amazing combination of matte and shimmer shades. I would recc for anyone who has to get one palette, it is so versatile, you can't go wrong!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot - Constructivist
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 8/29/2012 2:32:00 PM

Love it! First paint pot I've ever bought and its a makeup routine essential for me! I can use it as a primer, shadow and highlighter. It's my only product that it's easier to use my finger than a brush. It kind of does the work for me. This paint pot catches the creases and shadows of my eye, which makes it look like I've blended two colors together. For a NC50 like myself, I think it's very useful! I wish MAC carried more paint pot shadow colors though. Im still looking for more neutrals for skin tone. But overall...I highly Rec! :)

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
rated 5 of 5
Ellety 8/29/2012 1:00:00 PM

Cheap and really works! I wear plenty of waterproof eye makeup and this works like a charm! Only other one that I love is Sephora Waterproof remover, but not worth the price. Too cheap to not buy it!
