Crème -Chanel - Vitalumiere Hydra (Moist Radiance Emulsion Compact)

I did not think I would find another foundation that I loved more than Vitalumiere Aqua Liquid, but I tried this one and was blown away! One of the first things I noticed was how cool and refreshing it felt during application. One needs only the smallest amount--more can always be added for extra coverage. This foundation blends like a DREAM! If one is pressed for time during morning makeup routine, this fits right in. My foundation now takes about a minute to apply and blend--no brush or fingers trying to smooth everything out--and it looks twice as good as before! I am an RN who works 12-hour nursing shifts, and my makeup looks as beautiful after work as it did at the beginning of my shift. This is DEFINITELY a "my skin only better" foundation, and I have received so many compliments on my skin this week since switching to this! I cannot say enough good things about this compact foundation creme. Now, Chanel needs to get on the ball and bring out their version of a BB Creme that is rumored to debut early next year and I'll be totally set (Chanel's will be called "CC Creme" instead of BB. :-)

I really hoped I would like this mascara, as I have been searching for my HG mascara since forever. It does an OK job, but it was nothing spectacular. I guess I'll keep searching. :-(

This works OK with me--I did look a bit more luminous and I do like the squeeze bottle. What I DON'T like is that one of the main ingredients is "corn oil." I read that and was like, "What the heck?" Silicone I could understand, but I don't know what makes EL think that anyone, regardless of skin type, would want to put corn oil on her face. As a primer it's good, but I won't buy it again d/t the corn oil ingredient.

The Chanel sales associate was very generous and gave me 4 packets each of B10 and B20. I tried the B20 and it was too dark (I am VERY fair!), so I tried the B10--PERFECT match! I am fortunate enough to have very good, clear skin to begin with, so I do not need a ton of coverage. I just need something that will give me enough coverage to look polished, and VLA does exactly that. It honestly looks as if I have no foundation, a "more flawless me" as it were. When set with Chanel loose powder, the look is amazing. I read in some reviews that Chanel foundations tend to oxidize and turn orange after a couple of hours, but I have not had that problem. Another thing I love is the lightweight (unbreakable!) package, although it is a bit of a pain to have to shake it for 30 seconds or so. But 30 seconds is worth it for my skin to look this perfect! All in all, I do think I have finally discovered my HG foundation! I will definitely be buying this again when I run out.

I am very neutrally pale so I have a hard time finding a foundation that is light enough in color so as not to leave a line around my jawline. The lightest shade in this is the most perfectly matched shade I've ever used! It goes on so lightly and smoothly--just a dream to wear! I've read on here that people are complaining about it "changing color," but if you read the side of the box it clearly says that it may appear slightly lighter when first applied, but will darken slightly to perfectly match your skin color. Perhaps keep this in mind and buy what looks in the store to be a shade light, and it should adjust. I get so many compliments on my skin since using this! I have found my HG of foundations! EDIT: After looking at my graduation photos, I realized that this foundation is NOT "photo-friendly." My normally pale face looked deathly white in all of my photographs. That is my only complaint with this foundation.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

It was OK, but the brush was so big, it was like trying to apply mascara with a Velcro hair curler! I got it everywhere, especially when trying to do my bottom lashes.
