Nails -Unlisted Brand - Kiss - Active Oval full-cover nails

This is actually a review for the Kiss full cover toenails in the clear/whitish color, but it is the same idea. This product is a godsend. One of my big toenails is very damaged and looks awful. Before I discovered this product, it would go through a long process of building acrylic layers to fill in the gaps and damaged edge of my toenail. Although it looked good, it too a long time and only lasted about 2 weeks. With the Kiss full cover, I do replace every week, but it takes less than 5 minutes to apply and shape. There are 96 pieces in a container with glue. I only use one size, so one container will only last me a month, but for $6 a month for normal looking toenails, I won't complain. I could shape the larger sizes in the package, but I really don't have the extra time to do that, so I just bought bulk order and have a stash to use.
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Cherry Me

Great sheer wash of red! I never thought I could wear this color, but it turned out to be very flattering and brightens up my face when I don't have much or any makeup on. I originally bought this to have a little color with sunscreen for when I go running in the morning, but I liked it so much that I wear it more ofter. I also find it to be moisturizing but not up to all the hype. I'll probably try a few more colors since it is pretty inexpensive.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Maybelline Expert Wear Eyes Eyeshadow in Silken Taupe

This is just meh. I really like the color in the pan, but the texture is just awful. I almost have to scrape it to get any color, and it requires lots of patting like other reviewers stated to get anything to show, and then I get fall out. The color is ok, but CG Tapestry Taupe looks better on me, and is better quality, IMO.
Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Tapestry Taupe

Wow, I can't believe I've overlooked this eye shadow for so long! I picked it up on a whim for about $2 and with primer it looks amazing - a perfect cool taupe that brings out the green in my eyes and compliments my pale olive skin tone (cool-neutral). It also goes on somewhat sheer, so doesn't look as dark on my lids as it does in the pan, but I am sure you could layer it if you wanted to. The fall-out wasn't too bad, unlike the Mink color, and it seems to wear well. I find it more shimmery than frosty so I can wear this for work, in fact it has a similar effect on me as BB shimmer wash eyeshadows, but not as finely milled. I hope CG doesn't discontinue this!
I bought this because of all the good reviews and how it looks on others, but I'm not feeling it. The texture isn't bad, but I did get a lot of fall out, and I have to use it with primer. The color is also really shimmery-frosty, and on my large lids, it didn't look right and I certainly couldn't wear it to work. I also found the color to be too warm for my skin tone, which is pale olive. It did however, brighten up my eye color and brought out the golden brown tones, although I prefer bringing out the green-gray tones. Still, I would give this a try if you have a coupon or a promo is running. I picked this up for less than $2 so no major loss.
This color was recommended to be by a Bobbi Brown artist, but it looks horrible on me as a lid color. Very muddy and makes my forest green-gray eyes look dull. It is ok in the crease, but I would not repurchase.
I am quite happy with this palette since it is the first truly neutral set of brown tones that I can wear without looking dirty. I've used other BB shadows, but tended to stick to the grayish taupes and heather colors, since the browns I've tried are too warm and make me look ill. I gave this 4 starts instead of 5 because you must use a primer if you want these to show up or last. I use Laura Mercier Linen Eye Basics, with is light pinkish peachy beige on me, and it really works well with the colors in this palette. I also think it makes my forest green/gray eyes look lighter and brighter. There is no highlight/base shade, but I find it works well with Ivory and Bone Shimmer Wash. One color is totally useless and messy to work with - Pink Chandelier Metallic. But everything else is great, the cocoa berry is a great liner, and the brush is fantastic! I recommend this if you are looking for a good nude palette for work that has just a touch of shimmer.
Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer (Spring 2011)
Eliz26 12/6/2011 11:30:00 PM
This is my favorite tinted moisturizer and so far the only one that does not give me a rash or a breakout. The coverage is pretty good for a TM, and the finish is not greasy and gives a nice glow. I find it lasts all day as well. It runs dark compared to the Natural Finish foundation. I am Warm Ivory in Nat. Finish, but for the Oil Free TM I mix Alabaster and Extra Light Tint.
Powder -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15
Eliz26 9/13/2011 8:23:00 PM
I really like this "mineral" foundation. My go-to minerals used to be Laura Mercier, but I developed a slight allergy to it. Bobbi Brown's minerals really gives a very natural finish, but be aware that the coverage is on the light side. I use concealer underneath, and then use a small brush to buff a little extra minerals on the marks, and it works pretty well if you just have a few spots to cover. I find that it lasted a full 8 hours, but keep in mind that I use Bobbi's protective lotion spf 15, which seems to also function as a primer. It doesn't accent fine lines either, line other products have done. I did get slightly oily in the afternoon, but not too bad, and I have combo skin. Blotting paper or pressed powder works fine and doesn't mess up the mineral layer. I do have to mix 2 colors though. I am warm ivory in the natural finish foundation, and I have to do a 50/50 mix of alabaster and extra light in the minerals to get a perfect match. I've also been wearing it every day for a week, and no breakouts.
Sunscreen -Laura Mercier - Daily Face Shield with Adaptogens SPF 40+

I really like this sunscreen, and went through 2 sample tubes before deciding to buy. It is one of the few that don't give me little bumps all over my face or feel think and pasty. It works very well under both mineral, liquid, and TM foundations. I use it for running too, but I don't sweat a lot and even when I do, I have no sign of any burns or even tan on or around my face. So for me, it works great. One of the small sample tubes lasted me 7 days, so for the amount I have to use, the full size will last me a long time. The price is well worth the zero breakouts.
This is a great scent...soft woodsy-incense, not too overwhelming for work. Fantastic sillage - 16 hours later and still lingering on my skin. I do agree with others that the top notes fade very fast, but I love the dry down. Best of all, my DH loves it on me too!
Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Rich Color Gloss in Pink Buff

I really like this color for my skin tone, which is BB Warm Ivory / LM Porcelain-Blush Ivory mix. It looks like a taupey-mauve on my pale lips, and creates a natural but enhanced look. Very polished and professional looking. It is very moisturizing which is great for me in the colder months.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30
Eliz26 10/16/2010 1:29:00 PM
Love this sunscreen, and so does my husband. It does irritate my eyes a little, but after a week or so of using, it no longer bothered me. No breakouts whatsoever, and stays fairly matte and is not sticky on your face. It also mixes very well with LM oil-free foundation for a DIY TM and even with the LM mineral powder, and lessens the need to powder my face during the day. It is very inexpensive and worth trying. Also note, I find the spf 30 much better than the spf 45, which caused irritation and a rash, and also looks shinier on. **update: gives me little bumps on my forehead now so down a lippie. Still use it on my body, though.
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - long-wear cream shadow in Sand Dollar
Eliz26 10/16/2010 1:24:00 PM
Love this color and formula. I have dark green/hazel eyes and this makes the color of my eyes pop, to the point where my coworkers asked if I was wearing green contacts. Lasts all day without creasing for me, and is nearly waterproof. It is also very easy to apply. Some people may find it shimmery, but it is not over the top IMO. I wear it too work and it just brightens my eye and makes me look more awake.
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Cement
Eliz26 10/16/2010 1:17:00 PM
I bought this color on the recommendation of a BB artist and it is the exact color of my lids, which have some hyperpigmentation (otherwise I am Warm Ivory/LM Blush Ivory. Although it doesn't make my eyes pop like others said it does for them, it makes my eyes look "clean" and is an excellent base for other colors. It may actually become my HG eyelid primer, since the others that work for me go a bit brown/orange, which is annoying. Stays put all day with no creasing, and my lids are slightly oily. I recommend giving it a try for a neutral eye and base.
