Powders -Clean - Body Veil
ESMorin 1/20/2012 3:37:00 PM
I grew up using my Grandma's Estee Lauder Youth Dew powder after baths as a treat...and she made it such a fun thing that girls get to do, but I never wanted to wear that EL scent as I got older. I love this power! It's silky and sexy, and makes me feel great. The scent is nice, only lingers for a while, and is not overpowering. I like to use it in the summer when I can't get that humid feeling off of me. This helps me feel a little dryer. I also use it on the inside of my thighs when I wear a skirt in the summer and it helps it stay a little dryer in there too! I really recommend this powder. The packaging in simple and sleek, and is functional. There's a generous amount (because you don't need much for one applications) and the puff is, well, puffy! And soft!

Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - EyeCon
ESMorin 3/1/2010 11:32:00 AM
This stuff immediately fades my dark under-eye circles and de-puffs them. I don't know that it will do it long-term, but it definitely works in the short-term. My eyes look bright and awake. I like the creamy consistency of it. It doesn't irritate my skin, but if it gets in my eye membrane then it stings...but a lot of eye creams do that. I gave this product a low 'packaging' score because I wish it was in a tube, so I could just squeeze out a little bit and pat it under my eyes. I actually really like using the sample-size packets. They last a long time.

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy
ESMorin 2/23/2010 1:01:00 PM
This perfume is heavier than the scents I usually like. And I don't like anything else that Juicy makes...but this is one of my faves. It has a musky vanilla fruity smell, which sounds horrible! I can't really pick anything else out expect the musk. I bought a small sample size of this, and because of its scent power and its lasting power (long long!), I know it will last me a long time. It's a fun, girly (without being teenybopper) scent.

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Velvet eyeshadow- Leggy
ESMorin 2/23/2010 12:39:00 PM
This is a really nice neutral pink. It's not candy pink, and it's not a rose, either. It's just neutral. it has some shimmer to it, but nothing that will make you look like a teenybopper. I wouldn't even call it 'sparkly'. This is just a nice color to brighten up your eyes and look feminine. The staying power is good, especially when you use a primer. I just wish these shadows weren't $18 US. But I still find myself shelling it out...because I love them!

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - The Conditioner
ESMorin 2/23/2010 12:32:00 PM
I was afraid that this stuff would be too heavy for my hair, as a lot of leave-ins are. But this product is just wonderrrrfulllllll!!!!! It makes my hair and scalp nice and moisturized without being heavy (and I have oily hair). It makes my hair shiny, and the scent stays on my hair all the next day (I shower at night). the scent is the classic cucumber-y Paul Mitchell scent, and its one that I love. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Velvet Eyeshadow- Bikini Line
ESMorin 2/23/2010 12:29:00 PM
At first I was afraid of this looking too yellow on me, as I don't like yellow, and I am fair-skinned. But when I put this on at Sephora, I was sold. It just looks like buttercream...and it looks like there's just sunlight radiating from behind my eyes. It's really quite neutral. And it's really quite beautiful. The lasting power of these shadows is good, especially when you use primer or put it over a cream shadow. I am really happy with them. The only downside is their price. $18 is steep, but you do get more product than a lot of other brands' single shadow pots. Plus, Benefit's packaging is just so cute!

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Velvet Eyeshadow - Gimme Some Plum
ESMorin 2/23/2010 12:19:00 PM
I really really love these velvet eyeshadows. They have great colors, but don't have a lot of wacky bright ones. And that's OK by me, but probably won't be for people to love bright teal eyeshadows and colors like that. This color is a nice subtle that kind of just gives a classy look. I think the color is great. The shadows are finely milled, and the shimmer doesn't make you look like a teenybopper. They have great staying power, especially when used with a a primer or over a cream shadow. I have several of these colors and love them all. The only downside is the price...which at $18 is a little steep. However, you do get more in the pan than a Smashbox single (for example).

Hair Styling Tools -Paul Mitchell - Paul Mitchell The Smoothing Iron
ESMorin 2/17/2010 9:38:00 AM
I have been using this iron for at least 4 or 5 years. I bought it at Trade Secret with a coupon...and I think I paid around $100. My sister loved it so much, she went out and got the exact same one. This iron is really great. It gives you salon results, at a lower price - honestly. It makes my hair silky smooth and shiny, and It doesn't give me a ridge when I start a little bit lower down on my hair. I like the look of the iron: black with green plates, and the temp control works great. It heats up in about 30 seconds, but I give it a couple minutes to make sure it is thoroughly hot. Would definitely recommend. I would replace this with the newer PM flat iron is this one breaks.

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - The Rinse
ESMorin 2/17/2010 9:30:00 AM
I am a PM girl through and through...and this conditioner was awful. It left my hair feeling like I hadn't even used conditioner at all. No shine, and a weird clumpy rough feeling to it. I was so disappointed in this...I am giving my bottle away...and it has like 80% left in it!

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Awapuhi Shampoo
ESMorin 2/17/2010 9:11:00 AM
Every time I think I need a change, and try something new, I am always happy to have this back in my shower afterwords. It's like a 'comfort' shampoo. I have been using this shampoo for 20+ years (since I was a kid - my mom worked at a salon), and I will always love it and always return to it. It has such a beautiful mild scent, and it thoroughly cleans the hair (I think it is mildly clarifying). I think it is more than suitable for every day use. It's also a great body wash. I really recommend this shampoo for good clean results. It's wonderful.

Lotions/ Creams -BeneFit Cosmetics - Touch Me Then Try To Leave Me cream [DISCONTINUED]
ESMorin 1/25/2010 4:56:00 PM
The scent of this lotion is just so yummy. Even though my husband doesn't care if I wear nice smelling lotion or not, this just makes me fell so sexy! It is really quite moisturizing (I like to put it on my legs after shaving), and the texture is awesome. It's like a cross between a cream and a gel - not oily at all. Just silky is luxurious. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but usually lotions that accompany a fragrance are over-oily, cheap and gross. In my opinion, wearing this lotion is better than wearing the perfume. So, I would buy again but use sparingly (I made this container last a year!).

Powder -Aubrey Organics - Natural Translucent Base
ESMorin 1/25/2010 12:07:00 PM
I really liked this powder better than I expected. First of all, you get a TON for the price. It is a bit expensive, but not when you look at the total weight that you get. I am a fair/light, and the porcelain/beige is perfect. It is really great at oil control, which I really like. Plus, it doesn't dry me out. It gives sheer/moderate coverage, which I like. It has a nice (not over-powering at all) scent of cinnamon. I only have two-downsides, and they are very minor: 1) if you use too much, it CAN look a little chalky - you just have you blend really well (and possibly use a little setting spritz) and 2) the color is really 1-dimensional. For coverage, this works well. Some people just like a little more depth in the color of their base. Otherwise, I would totally recommend this powder!

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous
ESMorin 1/19/2010 10:42:00 AM
This mascara is a.ma.ZING! I wanted to hate it (because, really, how many mascaras can a girl have?), but I can't hate it. It is just so awesome. It plumps up my lashes, and extends them too. It works by building tubes around your lashes to make them look fuller, as the SA showed me. It stays all day, and it never EVER flakes. I took away one lippie, though, because it does smudge a little. You have to be careful when you put it on, and if you get any moisture near your eyes, or if you rub your eyes. I have Sumptuous in Black, Brown, and Garnet and I love all three! I wear them all the time!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Sugarbomb
ESMorin 1/19/2010 10:32:00 AM
I love this blush! It is my new favorite! I have fair/light skin, and this shows up as a nice, natural flush. It is pretty sheer, but is buildable.I like that it isn't glittery or super shiny (for us oily girls), but it isn't matte either. It's a nice cross between. At first, I was nervous about the peach and the purple shades, but when you swirl the brush around, you really don't see orange or purple on your cheeks. Just a nice multi-faceted blush color. As always, it has a citrusy/bubblegum scent that many of the Benefit products have - it smells nice. Even though it is on the pricey side, there is tons of product, and I think it's worth every penny. I may even throw out some of my other blushes! A word of advice, though - if you have darker that medium skin, this will likely not show up on you at all.

Fragrances -Yves Saint Laurent - Baby Doll
ESMorin 10/26/2009 11:18:00 PM
This perfume is so nice! I have been looking for the perfect scent for a while, and many have come close - but nothing like this one. I have been sniffing it and trying to figure out what scents I smell for this review...and I can't quite put a finger on it. It smells like a cross between nice dryer sheets and a tangy citrus herbal tea. It is incredibly long-lasting, too. I spritz it on in the morning, and I can still smell it on my way home from work at 5. I also really like the packaging. It is really pretty on my dresser.
