I really like this scent - I have the body wash, body spray and perfume. I definitely agree that it has a suntan lotion -ish smell, but I really like that. It reminds me of being on vacation at a resort, definitely not a bad mental picture while taking a shower or getting ready for the day :)
Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
ELFields331 9/1/2011 10:45:00 AM
I've used this cleanser for about 3 years, and I ♥ it! I have "normal" skin that isn't acne prone. Purity cleans my face, and gets every trace of makeup off and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight. (I don't wear waterproof mascara, so I can't speak of it's ability there.) Honestly I can't imagine myself ever purchasing another cleanser! I usually buy this from the philosophy website in the 32oz size - much better deal!
I decided to give the moisture line a try, with the hopes that it would be similar to Pureology. I've been rotating faithfully between the hydrate and nanoworks for almost a year now, and I LOVE the results. I don't even color my hair either, I just like that it makes my hair feel so soft and healthy!! The EverPure isn't terrible, but it's definitely not Pureology. My hair just doesn't feel as soft and healthy. It's probably one of the better "drugstore" shampoos that I've tried, but it won't be replacing my holy grail!!
I absolutely loooove this mascara! I even like it better than Diorshow! It separates my lashes, lengthens, and doesn't clump. I have had zero problem with smudging either. And I love that it's only 8 or 9 dollars...by the time you use it up it's time to throw the tube away anyway!!
I tried to order the free sample kit yesterday, but had problems with the checkout.. I guess they are launching the new site this weekend and will have it straightened out by Monday hopefully, in case anyone else had the same problem. I also think its great that they offer the free sample kit. I can't tell you how many full sized products I have that just didn't turn out they way I wanted them too. I love the idea that they'll send you a trial without having to buy anything first. It sends the message that they believe in their product so much that they know you'll be satisfied and return to buy more. I am a little unsure what colors will be right for me, as the swatches on the computer never turn out to be the same in real life. But if I don't get it right on the first sample I guess I can just order another one!
Eyeliner -Smashbox - best of cream eyeliner palette

I really like this eyeliner palette. Its a good alternative to Stila's smudgepot. I like this because I can throw it in my bag for travel and I have a ton of colors to choose from without taking up any space at all! I do recommend using another brush than the one it comes with. I usually use the "get bent" brush from BeneFit, it seems to work well for me... but I am sure any brush like that would do. Its really easy to apply, and it stays where I put it. It doesn't tend to travel down my face by the end of the day!! I'd definitely repurchase this!
I bought this quad with really high hopes, the colors seemed to be perfect for a subtle, but smoky eye... but I was disappointed. The eyeshadow seems to be not very pigmented, so I had to pile it on, and its hard to blend. I don't know....I just didn't like it. Not at all what I expected from Laura Mercier.
You HAVE to get this brush if you like the smudge pots. It makes all the difference in the world! I wasn't too excited about paying $32 it, but its worth it and I'd do it again!
I looove my smudge pot! It's so easy to apply and it lasts allll day. You don't have to worry about it running down your face or fading away. My eyeliner looks the same after a long day of work as it did when I put it on. I do, however, recommend using the Stila brush with the smudge pot. At first I figured any old brush would do, but I seem to have better luck when I use the Stila brush.. idk
I agree with everyone else. The colors are absolutely beautiful, but the just aren't the same as other stila eyeshadows. Not at all. They don't have the same texture, they don't blend nearly as well, and the pigmentation is for s*&t compared to the Stila shadows I'm used to!!! I promise it will be going back!
very neutral color, one that you'll be able to wear every day. Stila's eyeshadows are great in general, they are very creamy and blend extremely well.
