Mascara -NYX - Le Chick Flick (waterproof lashes)
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 5/14/2013 8:30:00 PM

I'm surprised at the low rating for this one. This is now my HG mascara. I love that it coats my lashes evenly and dries quickly thus minimizing smudges. The brush is great-small enough to really get the base of my lashes which is a must as I have naturally blond lashes. It holds a curl and lasts all day without smudging or flaking. It is a bit difficult to remove at night but then most waterproof mascaras are. Afforadable and readily available at Ulta. (For reference my previous HG was Maybelline Lash Discovery but I no longer purchase it due to my conversion to buying cosmetics that are not tested on animals).

Lip Gloss -NYX - Butter Gloss
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 4/28/2013 11:23:00 AM

Amazing moisturizing lipgloss. I have this in Creme Brulee and Merengue which are both very sheer tints on me as I have quite pigmented lips. Creme Brulee is a light pinky-nude and Merengue is a lavender-pink. Both smell like vanilla cake batter, which I personally love but others might not appreciate. I bought these from ulta during a buy 1 get 1 at 50% off, so they were quite cheap. I do not find these to be overly sticky or thick, but they do have more weight that other emollient glosses. These are nourishing enough to not need a layer of balm underneath. Lasting power is minimal but it is a gloss afterall. I want more of these! Definate repurchase. EDIT: I recently purchased this in Apple Strussel and love it! Great peachy-pink for summer.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate
rated 4 of 5
EIGNA 3/18/2013 7:14:00 PM

Bought into all the hype regarding this moisturizer. On one hand, I love the finish of this moisturizer under my long wearing foundations on dry days. It provides some life to my Tarte 12 hr Amazonian Clay foundation that can look horrific if I'm particularly dehydrated. I don't use it everyday but if I am going through a dry spell, it will provide a quick fix without being too occulsive. I'm not particularly a fan of the fragrance added to this lotion. I also have the problem with oversqueezing the metal tube. I also have to order this only as I cannot purchase at a brick and mortar store stateside which adds to the price, but it's still fairly affordable. I will repurchase this because I like the dewiness it adds to my foundations and it does work with my minimal dryness, but I think my more combo-dry and dry collegues would find this moisturizer lacking. It also doesn't provide any other skin boosting ingredients, so I wouldn't recommend soley as a night cream. There are better products out there for that. This is more of a moisturizing primer.

My new favorite polish. Love rose gold metallic finish on this one. Good staying power as well with minor chipping after a week of wear.

Foundations -Hourglass - Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 3/18/2013 6:59:00 PM

Love this foundation. I work 12+ hrs and require a foundation that is longlasting and needs minimal touch-ups. I prefer a satin matte finish that is not flat. I am also very pale with neutral undertones and many foundations run either a touch too pink or too yellow on my skin. This foundation ticks all the boxes. It stays on my skin, requires minimal blotting, satin matte finish that actually looks skinlike, and the shade Petal is my absolute best shade match ever! It is pricey-reminicent of my Chantecaille Future Skin days, but the packaging is much better. I prefer a sterile pump. I apply this with my fingers or the real techniques buffing brush and have no issues blending. No spf but I layer it over my Kiss My Face spf 30 for face and neck with no issues. If you have combo-oily or oily skin, this is an amazing foundation. Combo dry and dry skins would probably be better suited with another foundation. Definate repurchase for me.

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 1/7/2013 11:33:00 PM

Probably too early to do a review, but I wore this for the first time today and am thinking grail. First off, they are not kidding with the 12-hrs! I wore this from 5 am until 6 pm and it looked as good at the end of the day as it did when I first applied it. This was even after a workout, even though I don't normally wear makeup to the gym (nor should you) but I had absentmindedly forgot my mu wipes. I have combo-oily skin that gets a bit drier in the winter time and is definately more oily in summer. This foundation did not make my drier areas (cheeks) uncomfortable nor leave my t-zone oily. It has a mouselike texture with a matte finish. I did not feel the need to use powder with it but I may need to do so when the weather warms up. As for the color match, I have fair, neutral-leaning-cool skin (NW15) and use the shade Fair00 which is very neutral with neither strong pink nor yellow overtones. I find it blends beautifully with my skintone and looks very natural. The coverage is medium but buildable and I did not use any concealer with it. I highly recommend for oily and combination skins, though it would not be an option for dry skins or those that desire a luminous finish as it is quite a flat matte finish.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - CLEAR Anti-Acne 3-step System
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 8/5/2012 4:43:00 PM

I use the extra-strength kit and it has really improved my skin. I've used it in the past but strayed to try out other products. Big mistake. It's taken two months for my skin to recover. I mostly use it once a day in the evening. If my skin is dry I will add Clinque Moisture gel on top. I also find that I need to use a makeup remover as the cleanser will not remove makeup thoroughly (Clinque Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm before and Bioderma Sensibo H2O afterwords to be on the safe side). I will continue to repurchase this kit.

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
rated 4 of 5
EIGNA 8/5/2012 4:37:00 PM

I find that this is too much of a pain to use for makeup removal as it takes several swipes with multiple cotton pads to remove the bulk of my face makeup. It also fails at removing waterproof eyemakeup. However, I love to use it as a toner to make sure that my cleanser has removed every bit and to rebalance my skin. It's also difficult to get a hold of in the states as I must rely on shipping it through private sellers. I would consider repurchasing, but I would like to try out some Paula's Choice toners next when this runs out. EDIT: While I still have to knock off a star for it's inability to remove eyemakeup, I do love this as a face makeup remover. I use it to get the bulk of my makeup off before I cleanse and I've noticed a difference in my skin.

Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 8/5/2012 4:33:00 PM

I love this makeup remover. I was looking for a replacement for my MAC cleanse off oil and needed something to remove tenacious makeup without irritating fragrance or that would leave a greasy film after being rinsed off. This one rinses clean and doesn't irritate. I can use it around my eyes unlike the MAC oil which would often leave my vision cloudy. It thoroughly removes my makeup with easy, unlike makeup wipes that irritate with multiple swipes. Not the biggest fan of the open jar packaging but I'm sure it's too thick to be packaged otherwise. Price is comparable to the MAC, so I'm only loosing out on extra back2mac. I will definately rebuy though I am tempted to try out the Take the day off cleansing lotion.

Lip Gloss -NYX - lipgloss-sweetheart
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 3/14/2012 5:19:00 PM

I've been looking for a dupe of my discontinued favorite gloss, Rosette by Trish McEvoy. Not only is sweetheart a dead on match, it's also a lot cheaper. This one is hard to come by at my local Ulta, but I found it tucked away behind Sugar Pie (which is close but slightly lighter and less peachy in color that sweetheart). I love the cherry scent and the slanted doe foot is nice as well. I know it's been compared to Nars Turkish delight-which I've never tried as I find the plastic scent of Nars lip products off putting (loved Chelsea Girls as a color but not the melted plastic scent). But it's a match for Rosette. I do not see what others are talking about in terms of frost. I don't find that this has an overly frosty finish (like MAC Purr to me has a very frosty finish), I will gladly repurchase this baby time and time again. So glad to have found it.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
EIGNA 9/29/2011 7:56:00 PM

Love this! I don't have to use a separate mu remover when using this one. Melts away my MAC Blacktrack fluidline without stinging my eyes. Love the pump bottle as I hate fumbling with caps in the shower. Rinses clean and leaves my skin with a fresh feeling. The only cons I can note is that it is fragranced, which can be irritating for some. I also think this could be drying for some, but that can be said for any foaming cleanser. I might switch to using this only at night when the weather cools down as my skin is a tad drier in fall/winter, but for now it's perfect. I definately will repurchase. EDIT: This is a bit too drying and I found I still needed a separate mu remover with it. I'll probably switch back to the Eucerin Hydrating cleanser when I finish it up.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Dainty
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 8/24/2011 12:04:00 PM

I've been lemming this blush ever since I saw Sam from Pixiwoo use it in her "English Rose" tutorial. Gives pale skin the most lovely pink flush. A bit of shimmer but not disco ball glitter highlights your cheekbones providing an angelic glow. I love this blush and plan to repurchase when I run out.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Crystal Baby
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 8/24/2011 12:01:00 PM

My newest favorite lipstick! Just a shade or too deeper than my natural lip, this nude pink goes on creamy and lasts between sips. I gladly reapply though, because I love the texture of this lipstick. No need for balm. Gorgeous packaging and delish fig scent make this beauty worth the $24 US it's sold for. I plan to repurchase this one after it runs out as it might very well be my HG lipcolor.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Gloss Stick in Honey Pink
rated 5 of 5
EIGNA 8/24/2011 11:58:00 AM

A lovely coral pink that gives a glossy finish, simillar to a MAC Lustre but with more staying power. Goes on creamy and does not dry out my lips like many other lipsticks. The coral pink is perfect for summer and really brightens up my face. A bit pricy, but I expect it's from the glam packaging. Does have the signature Estee Lauder fig scent, so if you find that off-putting I'd recommend that you look elsewhere. However I love the scent of figs so it's not a problem for me. Would gladly rebuy.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
rated 3 of 5
EIGNA 8/5/2011 12:32:00 PM

This cold cream has been around quite awhile . My grandmother has used this for years to remove layers of stage makeup after nightclub gigs where she sang. I picked it up a week ago and must admit, my motivation was one part practical and one part nostalgia. I'm not the biggest fan on makeup wipes and didn't want to shell out for another bottle of my MAC cleansing oil, so for under $5 this seemed like a good option to try out. Afterall, if it can remove the tenacious pancake makeup of yesteryear, my light face makeup should be no big deal. One of the first things I noticed about it was the scent, a lovely rose floral. While I know fragrance might bother some, my skin has no problem with it and I quite like a good rose scent. I do hate dipping my fingers in the jar packaging. So unsanitary! I do my best by washing my hands and doing only one dip. I rub the cream between my hands to warm it up and then apply to my face. As you spread it and it heats up it turns from a cream to an oil. I remove with a damp washcloth. It can leave a waxy residue, so I follow up with a liquid face cleanser. I do find that all of my makeup, including eye makeup, come off with ease using this cold cream. No stinging in the eye area either, which is remarkable when I've yet to find an eye makeup remover that doesn't sting. I haven't noticed in clogged pores, but given that it's only been a week, it may be too soon to tell. I would purchase this product again as I think it removes makeup so well for so cheap. So to cap off the highlights: Pros: Cheap Removes makeup well Does not sting eyes Lovely rose scent Cons: Jar packaging Waxy residue Fragrance might be irritating for some skins EDIT: Much prefer a cleanser or cleansing oil that I can rinse off. Wiping off my makeup has stained several of my washclothes, so I will not be repurchasing.
