Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup

I bought this makeup because I was having bad breakout and the stuff (with benzyl peroxide) I was using actually seemed to make it worse. I wanted to cover up the blemishes and to see if the salicylic acid would make it any better. Below are my pros and cons of this make up. Pros: One application and my large cystic zits (which I had got from the BP product I was using) got noticeably smaller as did the other blemishes I put it on. It matches my skin fantastically, I wasn’t sure what shade to buy and hoped the one that I bought wasn’t too dark but you can not even tell I am wearing it. It makes my skin oil free, doesn’t dry out my skin either (I have combo skin) and leaves my skin feeling really smooth. The bottle is a decent size and small bit goes a long way. I think I will get a lot of uses out of it. Cons: It doesn’t provide enough coverage. I bought this specifically for the coverage and the skin clearing as a bonus. I had one fairly red blemish on my face and was disappointed to see that after 3 layers of the makeup, you could still see the red. It has a slight medicinal smell. I think it’s the Vitamin E, it doesn't smell horrible, but I am not fond of it (the smell only for lasts a few minutes after the make up is applied). It’s really quite expensive and for the price I paid I really expected more coverage. Overall, I like it but I won’t buy it again due to the price. I think it would more cost effective for me to purchase an acne fighter and then a separate concealer. I would only recommend this for someone who has blemishes but needs little to no blemish coverage.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray

I don’t wash my hair everyday because if I do, it gets really dry & brittle but after about a day of not washing it starts to get oily looking and feeling. I was using baby powder to fix this issue but I got a BOGO coupon in the mail from Suave so I decided to try it. My first impression was the smell and it is STRONG, so strong that I actually started coughing and I was holding the can at least 10 inches away from my head. I know they tried to make it smell light and fruity (it smells kind of like pineapples) but it is way intense. The product works mediocre, at best, at absorbing the oil. My hair wasn’t too oily at the time but had to use 5 sprays (at which point I had to stop because I was dying from the smell) and I didn’t get all of the oily spots on my roots. I gave my hair a good brushing through after and it hung very limp. My hair was not bouncy and it did not look like I just washed it, like they show in the commercials. Overall, after using the rest of the product, I will not purchase this again and will probably go back to using baby powder (which I like the smell of!)

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Luxe

I have thin, stubby, almost invisible lashes and every mascara I tried either clumped my lashes together or made them super long but super thin. I would almost always lose a few eyelashes each time when trying to remove the mascara, no matter what kind of remover I used. So, I had given up on the mascara industry.I tried cheap mascaras & expensive ones. Then, my local store had a sale on cover girl, so I bought this mascara because it's possibly the only one I hadn't tried before. I went home with not so high hopes but let me tell you this is THE BEST mascara EVER! It's not shimmery like they claim but there were no clumps and it makes my lashes full and long, I have eyelashes again!! Most importantly, when removing the mascara, it comes off super easy AND leaves my lashes soft. I'm on day 3 of using this mascara and I haven't lost an eyelash yet! I'm in love with this mascara! will buy again!
