Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Lip Junkie
DutchieConqueror 8/3/2012 12:47:00 AM
I have full lips already so I was never interested in the "plumping glosses". It wasn't until I received the sample size in my Naked 2 palette and tried it that I fell in love. I swear it makes the lines in my lips disappear. They don't look bigger (which is totally fine) just smoother. Plus the gloss is peppermint-y and just feels sexy. Not sticky but lasts hours...This is the most cash I've ever dropped on a lip gloss but I bought the full size a week later. Now all the rest of the glosses and balms in my "lip drawer" are sitting around collecting dust.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color - Snappy Sprinkles
DutchieConqueror 5/6/2012 12:42:00 AM
Meh.. not that impressed. It's a clear-ish base so it's pretty boring on your nail alone especially since you don't always get many sprinkles at a time. If you layer it, it looks pretty cool but it's hard to get enough confetti without two coats. Two coats of this over a color...lets just say all the swiping you have to do to get the confetti on, you'll have probably swiped off most of your color. I'm not completely against it, I just wouldn't buy it again. I could get the same effect or better by sprinkling dried micro-confettis over a base color and then putting a clear coat. The only thing cool about it is the shape of the confetti.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Mauve It
DutchieConqueror 5/6/2012 12:21:00 AM
I like this color. It's definitely not mauve, more like a rich cross between peach and baby pink. Works well on my dark cool tone skin as it has more red than yellow tones. I enjoy the insta dri line... I was just on my way to a baby shower last minute and polished my nails with this just as I ran out the door. No chips or smudges and I even carried a cake to the car about two minutes after I painted them.

DutchieConqueror 12/18/2011 12:25:00 AM
Discontinued....ah I love when they discontinue perfectly good products. Because then I can buy them on sale at Ocean State Job Lot for only 1.50 a pot! I picked up 2 to try them out (Delectable & Luscious) and they are great! Kissable too might I add ;) Totally going to have to snag a few more since they are dirt cheap right now!

Eye Shadow -TheBalm - Shady Lady Vol. 3
DutchieConqueror 12/18/2011 12:21:00 AM
I love the Shady Lady palettes. I have Vol1 and Vol 3 and am seriously debating running out and grabbing Vol 2 since I found them on sale at TJ maxx for $12. Great value! I am not the type to buy a full palette at say Sephora for 48 dollars as I have dark skin and often times I feel the colors are geared towards women with lighter/olive skin tones. With these palettes I feel like out of the 9 colors 7 or 8 totally work for dark skin, making it still a great value even if I likley won't use "Envious Erin". The colors are highly pigmented. I have never been the type to use shadows without a primer or without at least wetting the brush so I do not run into the problem of "meh" colors. As for fallout, I always expect a bit of fallout. If I can't find High-Intensity pigmented shadows, I'm generally layering on color to make my eyes really stand out. With these shadows, it only takes one good sweeping. If it's a particularly glittery color I fold up a tissue and hold it below my eye to catch any fallout and preserve my foundation. I love these, I think I'll go buy another one tomorrow.

Bronzers -TheBalm - Betty-Lou Manizer
DutchieConqueror 12/18/2011 12:13:00 AM
I like this bronzer alot... I can see why fair skinned girls would NOT like it however as it is very deep. I have dark skin (MAC NC50) Or Maybelline Cocoa and I wear a bronzer especially in the winter to bring a "glow"to my skin. This is the perfect tone and it doesn't come out too shimmery. Bronzer always looks sparkly when you're applying it because you're standing 6 inches from the mirror most likely. Once you take a step back and let the natural light hit it you will see a fabulous (non-glittery) glow! I found it on clearance at TJ Maxx where I snag all my Balm cosmetics.
