Hands down, the BEST long wearing lipcolor!! I bought the shade Cinnamon, which is MLBB for me!it can feel a little dry and tight before you apply the balm, but after you apply it,it feels so smooth. The balm is so much better than those glosses you get with the other long wearing lippies.I can eat, drink cup after cup of coffee, and talk and not have to worry about how my lips looks.I wore this the other day for 8+ hours and after dinner when I went to take a shower it was still in perfect condition and I had only reapplied the balm once.I have my mother liking these now as well.I'm going to have to try out a few more shades from their never ending shade selection!
Pressed Powders -Revlon - Colorstay Pressed Powder with SoftFlex
Dreamcrusher86 3/30/2010 9:31:00 PM
I'm really liking this powder. It doesn't get cakey like alot of others can.I use a nice fluffy powder brush from Sonia Kashuk and it blends the powder in nicely. It helps control shine and makes my makeup last. There is no weird smell which I cannot stand in powder!! I like the compact.I don't find it to be made cheaply.I have had no problems with it and to me it feels sturdy. The coverage is light, which I like best in pressed powders.I have the shade in fair which is a pretty good match. For drugstore powder this is the best.
This ia a review for the Translucent Finisher powder Holy glitter Edward Cullen!! I knew before buying this that it was going to have shimmer in it,Mica was listed first, but this was just awful!HUGE chunks of glitter just "sit" in this powder. It isn't even milled very well. There is like a layer of powder, than a layer of glitter, layer of powder, layer of glitter.Horrible!! I tried it once and and wanted to wash my face right away. This powder also felt itchy,I'm placing blame on all that glitter.Took it right back to the store and even the cashier made the comment about how she has sen so many people returning this crap!Revlon didn't think this idea through or they never would have released this to the public.
I have this color in Sunset 415. Does it last 6 hours? No. Does it come off when drinking?Only the color, the glitter/shimmer is still there. Does it stay while eating?See above Buy this again?Highly doubt it. I like the color alot.It mues my natural lip color without giving me a concealer mouth.Leaves my pigmented lips a nice wash of peach without turning pink, which alot of colors do to me.A color any lighter and it would not have showed up,so I'm happy I went with this shade. The formula goes on wet,but dries to a very sticky and heavy feeling finish. The color does last for a few hours, but once the color has vanished all you have left is sparkle and that sticky feeling. The color also fades in "patches" and would like awful with a darker, brighter color so I will not rebuy(Rebel Red was the other shade I wanted).Atleast with such a light color like Sunset it's not that obvious. I can already tell that this is going to be VERY drying to my lips. For the price, around $8 and some change at walmart I will try something else.Atleast I had a $3.00 off coupon for this so-so product. The packaging is also kind of a joke. The tear drop shaped applicator does hold enough color, but it's just odd and too flexible to apply color.
I bought this because I wanted something close to my skintone, but lighter and without alot of shimmer and frost, but not matte.I'm very fair and this matched close enough. It goes on more sheer than what I would have liked and it can sometimes go on blotchy(I wear TFSI).This shadow is quite "powdery".It workes okay, but two lippies only because I have found that for around $12 cheaper there is something better.CoverGirl's eyeshadow single in French Vanilla.I wish I could return Mylar, but I can't.Oh well,my loss.
Nice warm brown that doesn't have a large amount of red in.It does have gold sparkle in, which is fine, I don't have anything against shadows like that, but it could be better pressed into the shadow. It picks up quite well on my brush, but the problem I have with it is that when i go to blend it,it loses alot of the color,so I really have to pack the color on so it doesn't all get blended away. With a little extra work it looks nice.
Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Champagne
Dreamcrusher86 3/19/2010 11:55:00 PM
I'm not sure, but I think I just bought the lightest shade in the Shimering Sands trio. The two colors looking nothing alike in the pan.Champagne has less pink in it and isn't as frosty as the one in the trio, but when swatched and worn on the eye I can't tell the two apart.Very pretty color so 3 lippies for that, but I don't need another color just like the one I already have.Oh well, atleast it was super cheap............
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara
Dreamcrusher86 3/18/2010 12:04:00 AM
I don't have problems with this clumping on me,but alot of product does come out on the end of the wand. I just wipe it off.Clumpy mascara to me is when the brush has so much formula caked on it that you can see globs of it hanging off.The formula on this one is spread evenly on the wand, but it's SO dry and left my lashes hard. I like big brushes for volume and this is a good size.It adds volume and "fans out" my lashes. It layers well and plays well with other mascaras, but I'm just not crazy about the very dry formula.I didn't buy the waterproof, but even my waterproof makeup remover won't take this stuff off.I think my lashes are becoming brittle from this............
How cute is this tiny little brush?! I love it,but this product really needs some work done to it. It works really good for the bottom lashes and those nagging corner lashes that always fight with me.So far no clumps or smudges, but what needs to be worked on is the formula. It's somewhat drying and I really have to press the wand to the base of my lashes and wiggle the brush like crazy to get any of the mascara on my lashes. It's just "okay" at leangthening my lashes.I think Lash Stiletto did a better job for length
Styling Products -TRESemme - Heat Defence Styling Spray
Dreamcrusher86 3/16/2010 9:49:00 PM
This is just okay for me.It protects your hair from the heat and it's cheap.CHI 44 Iron Guard is MUCH better and I would rather shell out the bucks for that.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Emerald Smokes
Dreamcrusher86 3/16/2010 9:23:00 PM
I Love this quad!! All the colors are beautiful and blend well together. All the shades have sparkle to them, but all are subtle. The lid shade is a golden olive color. This is what I wanted MAC's Sumptuous Olive to be(who knew). The crease is a dark green leaf color and I would wear those two colors just by themselves, they are so pretty. The brow bone highlighter is a light and warm(but not to warm)gold-yellow.I don't use this as a brow bone highlighter because I don't like shimmers there, but I still love this color and it works great worn in the inner corner. The outer color is the only one I have problems with.It doesn't blend as nice as the other colors in this quad, but the color is sill nice.It has subtle green and gold flecks in it so it's more than just another basic black.
Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style - Smoothing Milk
Dreamcrusher86 3/13/2010 3:14:00 PM
Did not do anything for frizz or to help with humidity. My hair didn't look any more smoother. This was like just some extra product I was using for no reason because it did nothing.
I LOVE these brushes!! I have been using them for a couple of years now so I can't remember what I paid for them, but I know it wasn't much.I would be so lost without them! They hold up very good when being washed(no hair lost),they dry really quick, they hold their shape and pick up shadow very well. The smaller one fits perfect in my crease and the bigger one works great in the outer v.
Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
Dreamcrusher86 3/12/2010 10:58:00 AM
I'm not crazy about this powder.I bought this because everyone and their sister was hyping it up about how this was just like MAC's blot powder, blah, blah, blah.I got it in translucent, but there is color there. It's packed really hard, making it difficult to pick up the powder, even with a fluffy brush.I don't like those powder puffs that you always get with pressed powder and this one didn't come with one,so I bought some thinking it might go on better. The puffs didn't help any.Caked the product on and it was impossible to blend it out.It doesn't control shine any and if I use this more than once in a day I just get the heavy powder look.I don't like being able to see layers of powder on my skin.I have not had the problem with the top coming off like alot of people are complaining about, but I did rate the packaging quality a 1 because the ingredients are not listed on it.I don't like that and I can't find them anywhere online.I like to know what I'm putting on my face.I know there is fragrance in this because there is a heavy smell coming from it that will not fade even after an hour.
Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk
Dreamcrusher86 3/12/2010 10:42:00 AM
I have been using this iron for about 7 years.Back then you could only buy them at salons and the price was about $130(ish).Now I can go anywhere and get one.I buy mine from Folica.com for about $70 with free shipping.I use it just about everyday and I'm on my third one.Nothing last forever and I think that using a product everyday for 2-3 years is pretty good.I have thick wavy hair that wants to do what it wants, but this iron makes my hair so shiny and straight. The hair styling products they have arealso very good .
