Eyeliner -L'Oreal - waterproof liquid eyeliner
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 1:48:00 PM
It does stay on...for a while but after several hours of wear it begins to flake off which is a big no no for me because I wear contact lenses and I cannot risk irritating my sensitive eyes. It's also a nightmare to remove, even though I use Neutrogena eye makeup remover for waterproof makeup. It does not disintegrate like a normal eye product, instead it comes off like pieces of black electrical tape, I'm not exaggerating here either, it looks like rubber ribbons coming off, if you are lucky enough to get it to stay in one piece that is, otherwise you end up with several pieces that require several eye irritating swipes with a cotton pad soaked in remover. I don't think it looks bad on but it is very thick and if you want a more natural or smudged looked then this is not the product for you. I will not be repurchasing this item, instead I'm going to try Bobbi Brown's gel liner.

Lip Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - Lip Fix Cream
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 1:21:00 PM
I picked this up at Marshall's for about $8 and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It really does help your lipstick, lipliner or glosses stay on your lips longer and it moisturizes your lips and leaves them feeling very soft. No strong smells and it absorbs very quickly without any residue or aftertaste. The tube is sanitary and I would even buy it at full retail price because it works and a little goes a long way.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 1:13:00 PM
I did not notice any significant improvement to the wear or color of my eye shadows after using this product, but since I only paid a $1 its no big deal. I used mineral shadows, Jane Iredale and too faced palette eye shadows for reference.

Primer/ Corrector -Arbonne - Makeup Primer / Base de Maquillage
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 1:09:00 PM
I purchased this primer after reading some great reviews. Personally this product falls short because it breaks my skin break out the next day and after a few hours of wear my skin becomes shiny and I have very dry skin that requires constant moisturization so I should not look like I have oily skin because I don't. It does however deliver incredible staying power for your foundation and blush. I have worn this primer during wilting Florida heat with no telltale makeup transfer on my iphone and it will not rub off on clothes. It does feel very smooth going on your skin and does not feel heavy which is a plus but since it breaks me out, is expensive and makes me look shiny I will not be repurchasing and when I run out of this primer, so I will be looking for another one that suits my needs.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact Waterproof
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 12:56:00 PM
I love this mascara because as a contact lens wearer it does not irritate my sensitive eyes and it's waterproof to boot. The staying power is great and it does hold a curl. I have naturally long and thick eyelashes that are hard to curl since they tend to want to clump at the ends when I apply mascara so it really does hold a curl well, but I do use a metal eye comb to remove any clumps and to separate the lashes. I do not notice any color transfer for the first few hours of wear and I live in humid central Florida, but by night time I can see a hint of transfer but that's after at least 9 hours of wear and only on the waterline area and I apply mascara there as well so that's pretty good to me. The price makes it affordable and as long as my eyes stay happy I'm happy and I will keep buying it.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Eyebrow Comb/Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:49:00 AM
I really do not use the eyebrow comb part of this brush because it seems to be to large for me to mange my brows without spreading powder or eyebrow pencil all over the place. I only use the metal part to remove any clumps from my lashes after I put on mascara since I have very long lashes that tend to pickup to much product and for that it works great. The price is also affordable so I would repurchase this in the future should I need too.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Concealer Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:43:00 AM
This brush is way to small to be a proper concealer brush, but for the price of $1 I can't complain. I think that I will try using it for nail polish correction.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Powder Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:38:00 AM
I purchased this brush to apply my Revlon colorstay loose mineral powder foundation and it didn't give me the results that I wanted so I returned it. In the brushes defense I did not try using it with pressed or non mineral powders. The brush is soft and fluffy and that just didn't work out for me, I needed a denser brush I guess.

Makeup Brushes -Jane Iredale - Jane Iredale Blush Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:31:00 AM
I have to agree with the other reviewers here, this brush just doesn't work for me. I have tried using it with different blushes and I just cannot get consistent results when I use this brush. I have stopped using it and only reach for it when I want to swipe away excess eye shadow fallout or face powder. I would not repurchase or recommend this brush to anyone.

Makeup Brushes -Bobbi Brown - bronzing brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:25:00 AM
I can't believe how poorly reviewed this brush is on here, I have the original flat top version and I love it. The brush does not shed or smell after washing it, and it does not leave streaks on my face when I apply my Bobbi Brown blush. I have even used it to apply Revlon's colorstay mineral foundation powder to my face and it leaves my face looking airbrushed.

Makeup Brushes -Trish McEvoy - #2B
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:15:00 AM
This is a great brush, it's soft on the skin and deposits just the right amount of blush on your face but the shape requires some getting used to. Overall this is a high quality brush that will last with proper care and delivers results but for the price I think there are some more affordable brushes out there so if something were to happen to this brush I would not repurchase it.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Synthetic Flat Top Multipurpose Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 11:08:00 AM
This review is for the large Sonia Kashuk Tools synthetic kabuki flat top brush. I absolutely love this brush and cannot imagine putting on my foundation with anything else. I do own a paddle foundation brush and it streaks both liquid and tinted moisturizer on my face which drives me nuts. I purchased this brush due to the glowing feedback on the smaller multipurpose brush, I had no idea that a larger version was available so when I saw it I immediately choose it over the smaller on. The brush $17.99 vs $15.79 for the smaller one. The quality is on par with higher end brushes so you cannot go wrong for the price.

Makeup Brushes -Laura Mercier - Eye Crease Brush
Dragonlady76 11/9/2012 10:54:00 AM
This brush is the best crease brush that I have ever owned, it makes eye shadow application a breeze. Washing the brush is also quite easy and it does not have a horrible smell afterwards even though it's a natural hair brush. I would definitely repurchase another one if something were to happen to the one I currently have.
