Skincare - Body -The Body Shop - Shea Shower Cream

I looooove this smell!! I can't get over it. Not in a million years did I ever think I'd like the smell of Shea but this line from The Body Shop is just amazing. I've never even been a fan of The Body Shop but this past Christmas my brother bought me three sets (coconut, chocolate almond and strawberry) and my mum this Shea set. Well lucky me, my mum isn't too into body products so she let me have her set and I'm so glad she did cause this Shea set is my favorite. The scent is sweet but not too sweet... It's creamy and.. I really don't know how to describe it but it doesn't smell like real 100% Shea butter (which I don't like the smell of anyways). Anyways, this scent and product have made be a Body Shop fan and I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this line. The body wash lathers well and the scent lingers on the skin for a few hours, which I love. The only gripe I have is that the bottle is hard and doesn't squeeze as well as I'd like. Other than that, I love, love, love this product.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Coconut Soap
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 5/1/2013 10:58:00 AM

I got this in a Coconut body set for Christams and I'm finally just now getting around to using the soap and I love it. It's a sweet smelling coconut scent that is perfect for summer. It's a natural coconut scent (not plastic-y or chemical smelling) that's ampped up with some sweetness. The smell is literally so good. It lathers really well and leaves my hands feeling clean, soft and moisturized. The only con I would add in (and this is a con that my boyfriend pointed out) is that is does leave a bit of a mess on the soap dish tray... more than other soaps like Zest do. But honestly it doesn't bother me at all and the only reason I mention is is cause my OCD boyfriend mentioned the mess. He says he'd prefer the pump and bottle soap better but after using pump and bottle soap for so long and finally making the switch over to bar soap for the bathroom sink, I realize how much more cost effective the bar soap is so I much prefer it. Would I buy again? Probably not the soap on it's own but definitely in the package set along with the shower gel, lotion, etc.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy
rated 1 of 5

Ok, I never do this and I hate it when people write reviews on a product they haven't used but I'm about to do it right now. I just got this at CVS an hour ago for free with a free coupon that printed out of the machine when you scan your CVS card. I paid 40 cents to cover the tax and I'm going back to return it as soon as I'm doing writing this review to get my 40 cents back. I literally just got home 30 minutes and have have been reading through pages and pages of reviews for this product. If even only one person mentioned that this product had caused their hair to fall out, I wouldn't use it. However, more than a dozen of the reviewers within the first few pages of reviews mentioned it. So how does this product have a 3.4 rating and 61% of reviews would buy it again when it makes hair fall out?! Well scroll down to 9 reviews below mine... user mharnisch mentioned at the bottom of her review "DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. All these reviews about how good it is, are totally fake and done by people paid to write good reviews for them.". At first I thought she was just upset and saying that just to say it... but then I looked further into it and started clicking on "more reviews by _______" for each reviewer that gave this 5 stars and a good review. Most of those users had only one review on MUA. This one. Now, I understand some people never review anything and only read reviews here on MUA and some people (like myself) review almost everything they use or try... HOWEVER, Unlike one user who stated that this was her first MUA review and she only wrote it cause she hated it so much, it caused hair fall out, and she wanted to prevent others from using it (user brookelynn1216 who wrote a review on 12/4/2012... and yes, I did click "More reviews by brookelynn1216" and indeed this was her only review..) all the other reviews who had only one review for this one product on MUA raved about it. Now, I'm not claiming that these people do work for the Clear brand and/or were paid to write these good reviews for this product... but it makes sense and I do believe it to be true. And because I feel like being a b*tch right now and I've already mentioned people who hate this product based on the reviews I read, I feel like I might as well mention said people who wrote those rave reviews on MUA about this product and who APPEAR to be working for and/or were paid by Clear to write the review... considering that is their only review on this website. Behold the list of MUA users who gave this a rave review and oddly enough have just this one (or 2 in a few cases) and only product review on MUA (I included their total list of product reviews as well... just for sh*ts and giggles): - rommzy - Member since 2/12/2013 9:08:43 PM, wrote on 2/12/2013 9:12:00 PM... less than 3 minutes later, hasn't been on MUA since. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=romzzy - lmotx - Member since 2/8/2013 3:18:20 PM, wrote review on 2/8/2013 3:37:00 PM, hasn't been on MUA since. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=lmotx - wink1995 - Member since 1/21/2013 12:46:58 PM, wrote her review on 1/21/2013 1:06:00 PM, hasn't been on MUA since http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=wink1995 -hayley93 http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=hayley93 -pueplesarah - Member since 10/23/2012 3:32:20 PM, wrote review on 10/23/2012 3:47:00 PM, hasn;t been on MUA since http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=purplesarah -rjh777 - Member since 9/22/2012 9:40:38 PM, wrote review on 9/22/2012 9:50:00 PM, hasn't been on MUA since http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=rjh777 - sarola28 - Member since 8/5/2012 6:02:11 PM, wrote review 8/5/2012 6:08:00 PM, hasn't been on MUA since. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=sarola28 -ohsweetmel http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=ohsweetmel - giguenm http://www.makeupalley.com/product/userreviews.asp?u=goguenm Just an extra side note, cause I'm a loser and this totally intereted me as well... most of the users on this list created their account right before they wrote their review. Seem fishy? Now, I'm not one to throw people under the bus so if these are regular MUA users, I deeply apologize. However, I HIGHTLY doubt that. What it comes down to is that I just wasted an hour of my time finding out that this product most likely will make my hair fall out so instead of using it, I'm gonna go get my 40 cents back. Hopefully you read through the reviews and see for yourself that the majority, not all, but the majority of the good reviews were posted by people who seem to be MUA imposters. Just saying.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Lemon
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 3/22/2011 2:08:00 AM

I LOVE this product. It smells just like lemon cookies or lemon meringue pie. When I wear this some people comment that I smell like cotton candy but to me, maybe because it's super sweet smelling but to me, the lemon smell is very evident and I don;t think it smells like cotton candy at all. This is my very favorite from the Summer Vanillas 2010 collection and I'm really sad that it got discontinued and replaced with Apricot Vanilla. Good thing I got a couple bottles of this in the lotion and spray. I hope they bring it back again.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Dylan's Candy Bar Vanilla Cake Batter Body Butter
rated 5 of 5

Not sure if this is the same product but this review is for the Dylan's Candy Bar Candy Butter Cream Birthday Cake Batter (in picture). I picked this up at Ross for $3.99 the other day and I am soooo pleased. I had tried the Birthday Cake Batter lotion (not body butter) and that stuff is so thin, runny, not moisturizing at all, and the smell only lasts for about 2 seconds so I didn't have much hope for the body butter version of the same smell but this so thick, creamy, a bit greasy and sooooo moisturizing! I put this on before bed and when I was up in the morning my hands still feel moisturized and silky! The smell of this is amazing, it smells so sweet and sugary. If you don;t like strong sweet smells this might not be for you because it might comes off as sickeningly sweet but I really love it. it smells like super sweet vanilla icing and cake batter.. reminds me of the Cold Stone Creamery cake batter ice cream. I love this stuff and I wish I could find some more at Ross on sale since from what I hear, this brand is now sadly discontinued. If I could find it again, I'd snatch it up!

Just got this body cream at TJ Maxx for $3! These DCB body creams are so thick and creamy, and just a bit greasy.. these moisturize so well than my hands still feel moisturized after a long night's sleep. This Coconut Bon Bon Candy Body Cream smells like really sweet and sugary coconut macaroons.. soooo yummy! I'm glad I picked this up since i think they're now discontinued.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Face Shaping V
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 12/7/2010 10:01:00 PM

I found this brush at a BE outlet boutique and I've never seen it at a regular BE boutique or Sephora so I'm not sure how easy it is to find. I LOVE this brush for Faux Tan. I use this brush only for Faux Tan and it applies it wonderfully. It's V shaped and hit my cheekbone at just the right spot. Love it and for only $9.50 it was totally worth getting! I don;t think I'll ever need to buy this brush again, it holds up well through washings and usage but if for some reason I lost it, I would repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Spiced Gingersnap
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 11/30/2010 3:02:00 PM

Love this lotion! This came out along with three other lotions (Twisted Peppermint, I Love Licorice, and Nutcracker Sweet) for the Holiday 2009 season at Bath and Body Works. This wasn't in the core line of holiday lotion (the main holiday scents they advertise that come in 10 oz. bottles) but rather a smaller side holiday line (I believe it was their Temptations collection and came in 8 oz bottles). This scent is spicy and sweet yet at the same time. I can definitely smell the gingerbread but it has a hint of creaminess to it, like frosting. I wish they would have brought this back for this year's holiday collection so I could have a backup. This is the best gingerbread scented lotion I've found. If I ever find it again I'll stock up!

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Lemony Flutter
rated 4 of 5
Dori319 11/21/2010 1:57:00 PM

This is my favorite cuticle moisturizer. Lemony Flutter is a really thick and creamy moisturizer that smells like creamy lemon zest.. whenever I smell this I feel like I'm walking into a kitchen where a lemony dessert id being baked. Smells so yummy though I have heard some people complain that after a while the smell is so strong that it turns from sweet to sour and gives them a headache, luckily this isn't a problem for me. Lemony Flutter is very moisturizing and because its thick it stays in place and rubs in nicely. Even after I wash my hands I can feel some LF on my cuticles and smell it. This has really helps my cuticles stay in good shape when I use it often (once or twice a day). 4 lippies was given cause of the high price and the fact that you get so much product that is hard to use up by the time the expiration date rolls around.

Polishes -China Glaze - Spellbound
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 10/2/2010 5:21:00 PM

Love, love, love this polish! It was from the 2009 Halloween collection. The polish is a clear base with mall round and large hex orange glitter and medium hex glitter. Goes gorgeous over orange, copper, black, white, silver, or alone (however, when worn alone it needs about 3 coats to be opaque) Picture shown above is 1 coat Spell Bound over LA Girls Copper. Perfect for Halloween and Fall manis!!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Sweet Obsessions Eye Shadow Kit
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 9/5/2010

Sweet Obsessions in an eye shadow kit including 9 eye shadows: Strawberry Mousse, Berry Custard, Berry Flambe, Lemon Meringue, Spiced Biscotti, Cherry Choco Truffle, Mint, Dark Chocolate, and Crème de Menthe. I bought this kit mostly because I feel in love with Crème de Menthe (which, unbeknowist to me at the time, is pretty close in color to Bon Bon) but I really love all the colors. Most of the colors in the kit are not core shadows and are discontinued/no longer available (Mint is the only color in the kit I've seen sold in boutiques). I really like the colors and variety of colors in this kit.. and not to mention the packaging of the kit is the cutest I've ever seen and the only makeup packaging I've held on to. I believe i got this kit on sale around January/February 2010 (I think around $36ish) and I still have all the eye shadows in their cute little candy tinfoil wrappers in the box. Love this kit!!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Ginger Peach Smoothie
rated 5 of 5
Dori319 9/4/2010 9:11:00 PM

Ginger Peach Smoothie is a golden peachy copper shimmer shadow. This color is a great golden copper color for summer.. had hints of pink and peach in it but they don't show too much, just warm the color up a bit. I think this color goes great paired with True Gold but for more of a nighttime look would look great paired with a darker more bronze color like Camp or Morocco. Love this color!!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Showers
rated 3 of 5
Dori319 9/4/2010 8:59:00 PM

This is a light gray/silver shadow with light iridescent purple shimmer sparkles. This shadow looks almost exactly like Myth only a lighter version. I think Myth and Showers look really pretty when used together (Showers used on the inside of the eyes and Myth on the outside). This shadow lightens up a lot to look like a very light chalky gray when used foiled which I don't really like.. plus the iridescent purple shimmer fades a bit when used wet.
