Eye Shadow -Revlon - ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in Enchanted
DoraZ 12/1/2012 4:14:00 PM
Beautiful colors that go well together and look great on. However, the colors are not very pigmented and so dry and powder, they don't apply well. Now, that said, I used a couple of different kind of brushes trying to get a nice, denser and more even application and the funny thing is that what I used and got the best application with was the little spongey brush this palette comes with! Otherwise, these are so powdery that using a makeup brush works up so much loose powder that you lose a lot of product. Nice colors but quality, not so great. I remember these having a much better formula. No recommendation for these from me.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in Precocious
DoraZ 12/1/2012 4:02:00 PM
Basically an okay product, not bad but not great either. The colors look beautiful in the palette together and they look great on. Unfortunately, the shadows themselves are not very pigmented and way too powdery. I used a couple of different kinds of brushes and found that actually the best brush to use is the little spongey brush from the palette! However, you still end up with a lot of loose powder in the palette you have to blow away. You have to use quite a bit of product to get a denser shadow look as well. I'll use this one up because I love the colors, although I wish the gray color were more shimmery than sparkly, but probably will not buy it or any of the other ColorStay eye shadow palettes again. I remember them having a much better, denser, more creamy eye shadow formula, don't like this new formula at all.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in Volcanic
DoraZ 12/1/2012 3:05:00 PM
I have all of the new Revlon Colorstay Shadow Sticks now and this is my 3rd favorite after Flare and Torch. The colors are a gorgeous smoky grayish brown and a frosty white. I wish the white color was more shimmery than sparkly because it makes this harder to wear during daytime. I also with the darker color where a big lighter, it's soooo much darker than the highlighter color that it makes blending difficult. Overall, gorgeous product though and it stays put once you apply it, which is a huge plus AND it's a 3-in-1 product being a shadow, liner and having a highlighter.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in Atomic
DoraZ 12/1/2012 2:47:00 PM
I purchased the Flare color in this new Shadow Stick line and liked it so much I bought all the others as well. I LOVED Flare and Torch, this one, not so much. The peachy gold and olive green are definitely complimentary colors, but it's not one of my favorite color combinations although it does look nice on. I think a champagne or beige gold color would have been more pretty and practical, especially for use during the day. Plus the peach highlighter shade is too sparkly, not just shimmery like Flare and Torch which is something I couldn't see in the store. Overall I think I'll wear this for evenings out, but for daytime the colors are a bit too dense and harsh.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in Torch

I bought Revlon's Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in Flare and liked it so much I went back to get all their other colors. After Flare, this is my 2nd favorite just because I prefer purple shades. The colors are super complimentary and they are very pretty and flattering on my olive green eyes. There is a shimmery peach and a chocolate brown with a copper shimmer. It's also a 3-in-1 product which is always a plus, a shadow, liner and highlighter and the staying power is really excellent. I don't really have anything bad to say about it, you can apply it lightly for a conservative day look and they apply more densely for a night-time look so overall I'm giving this 5 stars!

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in Flare

Revlon products were on sale at my local CVS and I had a coupon, so I decided to check out what they had. Among other things I bought this and wore it the very next day...and the next and the next. Beautiful colors, great for my skin tone and like most purples make my green eyes really pop. I love the lighter lilac with the darker plum, such a pretty color combination. You can use this as a shadow, liner and highlighter making this a 3-in1 product which is always a plus. The staying power is amazing, once you apply this stuff sets and stays so altogether I give this an A+!!

Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector
DoraZ 10/15/2012 3:14:00 PM
This stuff is fantastic! I totally agree with Adennert's review below. I don't use this as a "pore minimizer" either, in fact I think it should be renamed since it's more of a tinted primer/mattifier. The Invisible Light shade is perfect for my skin tone, blending in perfectly and since I don't wear much foundation, only tinted moisturizer, this eliminates shine in my T-Zone while looking completely natural. Totally reduces the need for soo many of those blotting papers. Love it.

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
DoraZ 10/15/2012 2:54:00 PM
This cream is very thick and feels almost greasy upon application so it's a little off-putting when you first try it. Also, you have to wait a few minutes to apply any makeup. But once it sets and you put powder over it, it stays really well. Sometimes I don't even need a concealer and it's a teeny bit shimmery so it brightens my face so I don't need a highlighter with this. I'm surprised at the negative reviews here because I really do feel this is a true BB cream! I also have a secret way I use this and am on my second or third tube. I mix it with my Pond's Dry Skin Cream and Oil of Olay's Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream (3 parts each) and end up with a fantastic tinted moisturizer that makes my skin glow and look gorgeous every day and is not quite as heavy as wearing this solo. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I can "feel" it on my skin if that makes sense so I wish it wasn't quite so heavy. That's my one issue with this product.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
DoraZ 10/15/2012 2:19:00 PM
I honestly don't see much difference to my skin when I use this. As a moisturizer it's not great, it slightly stings my face and is not very moisturizing. As far as coverage goes, Maybelline claims this evens skin tones and blurs imperfections. I don't have rosacea or problem skin, my skin is blemish free and smooth right now with the exception of some slight redness around my nose and cheeks and this did little to blend or cover it. It did brighten my face a bit which was nice and I'm glad this has an SPF but I feel that this is really just a glorified Tinted Moisturizer without even much of a tint to it. I'll be sticking with MAC's Tinted Moisturizer, thank you!

Other -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly with cocoa butter
DoraZ 10/15/2012 1:55:00 PM
This is by far one of my most used body care products since it came out, I love it! So multi-purpose and sooo cheap. Perfect for rubbing on smaller patches of rough flaky skin like knees and elbows and not soooo greasy that you can't use it on larger areas of skin. Perfect for dry, chapped lips and those patchy, dry little areas around my cheekbones at night. I wish they'd sell this in smaller pots too! I also use this instead of cuticle remover while doing my own manicures and pedicures and of course I slather this all over my feet and put socks on before bed. In the morning my feet are so silky smooth my husband can't stop rubbing them! LOL!

Treatments -Trader Joe's - Tea Tree Oil
DoraZ 10/15/2012 1:40:00 PM
I've been using The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil in my weekly facial treatments for over 4 years now but I like to use Trader Joe's Tea Tree oil by itself applied directly on a pimple or blemish over my nightly facial cream. The blemishes are usually gone by morning with only slight flakiness around the area which I can just exfoliate away. Yes, I wish this had a dropper or a smaller hole at the top and the scent can be extremely overpowering since it's so concentrated, but I just use a clean Q-tip since I apply so little and the heavy scent soon dissipates. The price is awesome for the amount you get.

Treatments -The Body Shop - tea tree oil
DoraZ 10/4/2012 11:01:00 AM
This is a staple product for me, I'm on my 4th bottle of this and it lasts a long time! I use it with other Tea Tree and Seaweed products from The Body Shop on my oilier T-Zone area and breakouts on my face are almost nonexistent. Try applying this with a Q-Tip or cotton ball before steaming treatments, that's what I do and I end up with great results!!!!

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser
DoraZ 10/4/2012 10:47:00 AM
I've been using this cleanser for a year, The Body Shop SA recommended it for my combination skin and my skin has really never looked better. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is because it doesn't take off makeup very well so if you're looking for a cleanser that "does it all" this probably isn't for you. That doesn't really matter too much to me since I don't use much makeup anyway and the days I do I just use my Clinique Take The Day Off MU remover first and then this. It's more pricey then some drugstore brands, but I haven't found a drugstore brand that doesn't dry my face out so I don't mind the price, you don't have to use much so it lasts.

Palettes -Clinique - Plum Seduction Eyeshadow Palette
DoraZ 10/4/2012 10:30:00 AM
I'm giving this a rating of 4 instead of 5 just because like most other Clinique eyeshadows the colors are a little more sheer than I would like. Overall though, this is a color palette I use often and I love it. The purples and grays compliment my green eyes fantastically without a hint of red anywhere and even my husband notices and compliments me when I use this palette. The staying power is phenomenal too, I use Benefit's Boing concealer underneath and this shadow stays!

Polishes -OPI - San Tan-Tonio
DoraZ 6/24/2012 4:49:00 PM
In the bottle San Tan-Tonio looks like it would be a pretty caramel color but on my fingers it's quite a bit darker, especially since I have to apply 2 to 3 coats to get an even coverage. It seems to also have a bit too much yellow in it which I wished I had noticed in the store. I can see it really working well on someone with the right skin tone so I'd recommend you try before you buy. I solved the color problem by applying one layer of a sheer, nude whitish beige underneath (OPI's Bubble Bath) which greatly improved the color and lightened it a shade or two thus a rating of 3 instead of 2 because that really turned out beautifully!
