Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip Boost intense moisture therapy

This actually made my lips drier. No boosting results from the peptide either. Although it seemed like it would be moisturizing from the emollient texture, it dried my lips with continued use.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Vivant Mandelic Acid Serum 15%
Donostiarra 2/25/2008 11:22:00 PM
I jumped on the mandelic acid bandwagon wanting to fade some acne hyperpigmentation. Vivant Mandelic Acid Serum 15% is a watery serum that didn't do much except cause severe irritation. At first, I poured a little bit of the product into my hand and smoothed the liquid on my face. The next morning, my hand had peeled so after that I applied with a q-tip. This was very irritating and caused my face to become red and peel and break out. I only used this product three times before it dried up in one week. I canít really say if it would have worked if I stuck with it because the container did not protect the product. I tightened the cap closed each time I used it. A pump might be a better option for this product. This was a waste of $32 plus shipping.
I loved the old formula for this and hate the new formula. I have oily, acne prone skin that tends to be drier in the fall and winter. I also have fine lines on my forehead. The old formula was the perfect weight moisturizer for when my skin was drier. After a few weeks of use, the fine lines were plumped and my skin seemed firmer overall. The old formula was lightweight, pearlescent, absorbed quickly, and had a pleasant herbal smell. When I bought a new jar the first thing I noticed was the rotten smell. I have worked in a medical lab and smelled a decomposing body, and it smelled exactly like the new formula of Deep Repair Cream. The product also did not absorb and sat on my skin. All day I could smell the nastiness of the fragrance in this product. The previous formula was superior to the new formula. I can't believe Mychelle would stay with the new formula when the old formula performed better. I don't like how Mychelle makes it difficult for customers to contact them. A phone call during business hours is not always easy. I don't appreciate that the contact us by e-mail option on their website is ONLY for love letters. I don't think it's too much to ask to provide a customer service e-mail when I spend hundreds of dollars a year on Mychelle products.
Moisturizers -MyChelle - Oil Free Grapefruit Cream
Donostiarra 2/25/2008 11:08:00 PM
My skin is oily and acne prone, but sometimes has dry patches. Mychelle Grapefruit Cream is a very lightweight moisturizer that doesn't cause my skin to break out. Mychelle Sun Shield SPF 28 is not as moisturizing as other SPFs so I layer Mychelle Grapefruit Cream underneath. My skin is just moisturized enough so it's not parched or too greasy, just slightly moist. The product is expensive considering how fast I finish the product, so I didn't give this a perfect rating. I would definitely repurchase, I am on my fourth bottle of Grapefruit Cream.
I hoped this serum would help fade hyper pigmentation marks from acne. Admittedly, the website does say this is best for sun-damaged skin. I thought a product for lightening sun damage would also work for acne marks. I was wrong. This serum did not deliver. The serum is dark brown, sticky, and a little goes a long way. I used this serum for one month and my skin became increasingly red and irritated. One positive is that the product smells like apples, but it doesn't do anything. I agree with the poster below that the Perfect C Serum does a better job at lightening acne marks. I will not repurchase. I don't like how Mychelle makes it difficult for customers to contact them. Lip Treatments -MyChelle - MyChelle Lip Plumping Treatment Luscious Pina Colada
Donostiarra 2/25/2008 11:05:00 PM
This is a mediocre product that gave me a little bit of temporary plumping. I used this treatment several times a day as directed for a month. My lips would become plumper for a few minutes, but seemed to shrink to their normal size as soon as the product wore off. The texture is a gritty yellow lotion. It dried out my lips so I had to use a lot of lip balm to rehydrate my lips. The Lip Plumping Treatment is the same yellow color as the Fresh Eyes serum, which was also drying. After a month, I did not see cumulative plumping. I would not repurchase.
I think I have a found my new favorite self tanner/bronzer in the Sublime line. I started with the Medium/Deep lotion, the package says itís a new formula so it may be different from those reviewed below. The texture is a mix between a lotion and a gel. I rubbed this on my arms (including my upper arms which are really pale) and this gave me a light, even tan. The finish is sticky so I would either wait about half an hour before getting dressed or apply before bedtime and shower in the morning. This product does not have the typical self tanner scent, itís more perfumey, but I can tolerate it. I donít like the glitter in this product, but the glitter washes off and the color stays. This does not streak or look splotchy as it fades, it fades evenly, like a real tan would. I like the lighter color for my arms and the deep version for my legs. I applied this one week ago and the color is still there, just a shade lighter. I applied a second layer of this today and the overall color didnít get darker. This would be good for paler complexions who prefer a little color. If you want a really bronze George Hamilton look, this probably wonít give you that result.

Self Tanners -Neutrogena - Sheer Bodytint Instant Temporary Tan - Medium_Dark

In my search to replace Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Foam I gave this a try because it had an instant tint to it. It is nothing like the Coppertone product. I squirted a bit of this foam onto my arm to see how it would look. The foam was dark brown and as I rubbed it into my arm the color appeared like a mix between dark brown and purple. Take brown and purple magic markers and layer them over each other on your skin. This is what the tint looks like. The color is completely unnatural and coincidentally, smells like magic markers. The only positive about this product is that it washes away easily with soap and water, so I didnít have to walk around with a purple/brown splotch on my arm. I canít imagine applying this to my entire body and looking natural, more like Gene Wilder in Silver Streak. Will not repurchase.

Self Tanners -Coppertone - Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Foam Medium/Dark
Donostiarra 5/30/2007 9:57:00 PM
I have been using this sunless tanning foam for years and it delivered everything I wanted in one product. It gave an instant, natural looking tan, and included a self tanner that developed within a few hours. The color was smooth and never streaked. It did have that typical self tanner scent, but it usually faded by the time I was ready to get dressed. I have used this product for about 5 years and stocked up last summer when it was on sale. I finished my last bottle recently and began looking for it in stores only to find out it was discontinued last June (Ď06) due to poor sales! RIP Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Foam in Medium/Dark, you were the perfect sunless tanning product.
At $50, this was too expensive for the mediocre results. The super sticky texture limited my use to night. When I woke up in the morning, yes, my lips were plumper. However as soon as I wiped this goop off my lips they returned to their previous size within an hour. I was hoping this would be more moisturizing and have cumulative results. I used this for a few months and this treatment did neither. I would not repurchase. The original formula of City Lips gave me better results.
This is an emollient cream that would probably fill fine lines if I had them. My under eye circles concern me more than lines. It does lighten under eye circles a little bit. These results were enhanced somewhat when layered under Reviva Dark Circle Under Eye Serum. I wouldnít buy again. I found the recipe on carekateís notepad to have more immediate, visible dark circle lightening results.
Treatments -Origins - Dr Weil Plantidote Mega Mushroom Face Serum
Donostiarra 1/24/2007 11:26:00 PM
This serum feels like a lightweight lotion. Despite its anti-inflammatory properties, it made my face red, irritated, and it broke me out. Iím an OSPT so Iím not sure what ingredient caused the irritation. I bought this as a set with the Plantidote Mega-Mushroom Supplement which was equally useless. Will not buy again.
I have mixed feelings about this product. I first received Kinerase Lotion directly from the Kinerase company. The product Kinerase sent me was moisturizing and immediately smoothed the fine lines on my forehead in a few days. However when I purchased online from a store located on the West Coast the bottle arrived only half full. I had my doubts whether it was a used product or if it was even Kinerase at all that this store on the West Coast sold me. I've been using the Kinerase Lotion and I'm not having the same results as the product sent by Kinerase. It smells different and has a different texture. I want to give a good review for the product sent to me by Kinerase, but it appears some vendors are selling fake Kinerase.
I'm an OSPT and this is my favorite gentle cleanser. I alternate Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash with Unblemish Medicated Cleanser. It's a foaming gel cleanser that cleans without drying or leaving my skin red or irritated. It foams a lot so it might be better for oilier skin.
Treatments -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Nightly Renewal
Donostiarra 1/1/2007 11:42:00 PM
I had high hopes for this product. The Neutrogena ads looked promising "highest concentration of retinol" I used this regularly at night for a year and saw no results. I had hoped to reduce the appearance of fine lines on my forehead and maybe exfoliate blackheads on my nose but this product did neither.
