BB Cream -Revlon - Photoready BB Cream SPF 30
Dominoangel 5/18/2013 10:54:00 PM
I thought this was the ONE! I was so excited! And then it turned ORANGE. Horrible. It also oxidized and darkened FAR more than it should have. I bought the lightest color. Fair skin girls, keep looking.

BB Cream -Rimmel - BB Cream Beauty Balm 9 in 1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup
Dominoangel 5/18/2013 10:48:00 PM
This isn't my HG bb cream. I highly prefer my Smashbox-- it's perfect for me. But, it's EXPENSIVE! So I've been on the hunt for something that's sort of "daily wear" when I want to look better than no make up, but don't want to use the pricey stuff. This is pretty good. I bought the fairest color, which has a pretty nice neutral tone. It doesn't turn orange or pink, nor does it make me look yellow. It's a decent amount of coverage, it doesn't make my skin oilier than normal. It stays put and doesn't migrate into my eyes or slide off my face after a while. I'm looking at you, Maybelline BB! :( Something about this stuff just isn't perfect though. It sort of makes my skin look dull, almost dirty-- like I've been rolling in dust out in the yard. I am not sure how to explain it other than it's the OPPOSITE of the "luminous" look that most bb's try to give you. Perhaps there's some kind of clay as an ingredient? I have no idea. For 7 bucks though, it's adequate for my purposes. I'll keep looking for a "budget HG" bb though.

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin - Light
Dominoangel 5/9/2013 7:54:00 PM
UGH. NO. I don't have super oily skin. It's combo, really, and only my t zone gets a bit shiny after a couple hours. It's nothing a blot once or twice a day can't solve. This crap-- It's not for people with any kind of oily skin. Normal skin at best. It's also NOT for fair or light skin people-- medium beige at the lightest. It does have decent coverage without looking cakey. If the shade was right for me, I would probably keep it despite the fact it doesn't help with shine control.

Cleansers -RoC - Daily Resurfacing Disks
Dominoangel 3/24/2013 9:45:00 PM
I love roc products, but I can't use them exclusively since I still need something to prevent acne. Ugh. Anyway, these disks are kind of huge; I can do my whole face, neck and chest with one. Might need to cut them in half like others do. These are the freaking amaze-balls super awesome perfect exfoliation product. I mean, this is the holy grail, right here. The price is right, they WORK. My skin looks better than it ever EVER has -- when I use them regularly. For me, maybe 2-3 times a week is enough. The other days I can cleanse with regular old Neutrogena Oil free acne wash or whatever I'm into at the moment. My skin is very acne prone, and this actually is helping to prevent break outs. It's also done WONDERS in improving the texture of my skin-- it looks more fine and smooth, almost like a pre-adolescent's baby face!! I went for some weeks neglecting to use this product and started wondering what the heck I wasn't doing right, because I just kept looking crappier and crappier, and then I remembered these. ONE week back on, I look fantastic again. AMAZING.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Enough Buff
Dominoangel 3/24/2013 9:28:00 PM
This is sheer, but an extra layer can boost the color enough. It isn't drying on me, rather moisturizing actually. My lips tend to be dry. On me, this color is NUDE. I mean, it looks like I am wearing NOTHING, but with a very light sheen and even coloring. I was looking for a nude lipstick and this definitely fits that description. However, I still would like a nude that's maybe a little LESS nude. I'm keeping this for when I do a super smoky eye. It is peachy-pink in color.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
Dominoangel 12/11/2012 3:05:00 PM
No. Just No. This stuff would be good if you have dry skin. It is far too oily for me and the coverage is too sheer, so it doesn't help anything. It migrates around my face, so I can't get the benefit of spf around my eyes, since it will creep into my eyes and contacts. If you have dry skin that doesn't have many imperfections and are looking for spf, moisture and very light coverage, this is it. It does oxidize, so buy lighter than you think you need. Personally, my hg is the Smashbox bb. Stuff doesn't creep at ALL, so I can use it for spf and primer on my eyes/eyelids.

BB Cream -Smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
Dominoangel 12/11/2012 2:50:00 PM
This is not for people with dry skin. If you are only a little on the dry side you might be able to use this if you moisturize first. It is perfect for combo or oily skin though. This gives me a nice, soft matte finish and looks great all day. Blotting once in the afternoon keeps me from looking "dewy" in the afternoon, but it's not absolutely necessary to do so. I get a moderate coverage-- enough to cover slight imperfections without looking cakey or made up, just natural. The trick to applying this is to do so with tiny amounts, just enough to cover each section of your face, moving from section to section. If you try to do too much at once it will start to dry and pill before you get it applied right. I even use it on my eyelids and all around my eye-- this stuff does NOT migrate at all, so I get good spf on my eyes!! Finally! Most products with spf wind up in my eyes, stinging and clouding my contacts. NOT this. I think this is my HG product. Also-- like many BB creams, it tends to look somewhat darker than you would expect. I would have thought I should use light/medium, but light was perfect.

Cleansers -Avon - ANEW Rejuvenate 2-in-1 Gel Cleanser
Dominoangel 3/12/2012 1:37:00 PM
I've tried just about every cleanser I can afford, and this is it. This is the one. I have combination acne-prone skin. With the right products and effort, my skin can look great. In an attempt to save some cash I tried some Olay products (big mistake) and broke out like crazy-- big, nasty acne that tended towards being cystic. I stopped everything I had been doing and decided to experiment with this cleanser and simple tea tree oil on the break outs. Everything started to clear up, almost over night. I know that the tea tree oil isn't the sole cause of the improvement, because I've used only that for break outs for a while. So... this stuff cleared my face, almost single handedly. So, I give up. This is my cleanser now. I guess I won't be using anything else... because nothing else I've used works as well. It's really not that expensive, can usually be had on sale, and it works. What more can I ask for?

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Big Sexy Hair - volume mousse
Dominoangel 9/19/2010 1:47:00 AM
Would I buy this again? YES. OMG yes. This stuff is awesome. I use it mainly as a root booster, a job which this stuff totally aces. I can get my hair HUGE if I want and if I tease a little too-- well I could easily get massive 60's hair. I especially love that when I use this stuff it's still helping the next day. It makes restyling my hair super simple the next day, I only wash every other day. My hair tends to get oily and flat by the end of the 2nd day, but this helps keep it up and even seems to dry the oil up a bit. I have a ton of really silky, fine hair. This is the very first thing I have found that did anything for me as far as volume or root lift. LOVE IT.

Fragrances -Kate Spade - Twirl
Dominoangel 9/19/2010 1:03:00 AM
Meh. I like it, but I don't LOVE it. I don't know that I will buy it. It didn't last too long on me, maybe 3 hours. It's nice but not as bright, fruity and sparkling as I wanted. More toned down, mature, mixed with a little warm notes and floral along with the fruit. I'm a much bigger fan of Escada or Gucci Eau de Parfum II.

AAH!! OMG I love this fragrance so much. I tried it on at the dept. store and was still able to smell a trace of it the next morning! It smells great on me. Love it. This is the *only* scent I have ever been complimented on. Seriously.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Dream Blonde
Dominoangel 9/19/2010 12:54:00 AM
I want to try this again. Next time hopefully I can find something other than just TWO colors. What is up with that?! I ended up with Glistening Magnolia (extra light blond). It looks okay, but I really wish I could have gotten a darker shade. A darker shade would have given me a better tone change since my color beforehand was rather brassy. This will do until it's time to re-color though. :/

Conditioner -Garnier - Fructis Body Boost
Dominoangel 11/23/2009 2:06:00 PM
Lid is a total pain in the rear, but worth the trouble. I love this stuff. I have fine hair, oily scalp, color treated hair that tangles like steel wool when wet. I must have something that conditions well but doesn't build up or weigh hair down at all and this is the ticket. I have always like Garnier but was never able to use it much because the available formulas were far too rich for my hair. I am SO glad they came out with this!

Shampoo -Garnier - Body Boost

I don't know why everyone else is having issues with this, because I am definitely NOT having problems. This stuff is wonderful. I have fine hair, oily scalp, color treated hair that tangles and knots like steel wool when wet. This is what I bought after I had severe problems with Herbal Essences tousle me softly. It works great, I love it.

This is making my hair fall out! It smells great, but its not going to be helpful when I don't have any hair left. This is going into the trash. I have NEVER had this problem with a hair product before. CRAP!
