Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear

I really do like this foundation. Finally found a full cover one that stays on nicely throughout the day. Just have to hit it with a light touch of Tarte Amazonian Clay Powder, IT Cosmetics powder,or MUF powder once late in the day and it still looks great. JUST WISH IT HAD A PUMP! I would purchase again (:

Liquid -Maybelline - Dream Liquid Mousse

I am 62 years young and have tired more foundation than I care to mention over the years. I have used inexpensive, expensive, and very expensive brands! I don't leave the house without my foundation on. I read an article in one of the beauty magazines written by a makeup artist that this was a very good drug store brand foundation that put some of the expensive ones to shame. I decided to try it. It has now become my go to foundation. I like it alot. I tried the same brand in the jar (cream) but didn't care for it as much. The liquid goes on nicely and with a little concealer where I need it it looks pretty darn good! I would definitely repurchase it. My Channel and Lancome foundations are sitting in a drawer along with some other good brand names but this is the one I am using right now and pretty happy with it. You might just want to give it a try!

Liquid -Lancome - Renergie Lift Makeup SPF 20

I purchased this foundation awhile back and liked it but was still searching for the "perfect" one. After using many, many popular high end brands, as well as a few drug store ones, I came back to this one. I have been using foundation since I was a teenager and luckily have pretty good 60 year old skin without many wrinkles at all but a few little spider veins here and there. I would say I have combination skin. This covers beautifully without being heavy and leaves a nice luminosity which I love. I haven't been able to get both the coverage and the luminosity until now. I brush a little powder just in the T-zone and leave the rest because I don't t want to loose that slight glow. A little bronzer and blush on the cheeks and I am good to go. This foundation still looked pretty good at the end of the day. I like the pump bottle and put a little on the back of my hand and use a makeup brush to apply the foundation. Goes on very nicely over my primer. I would say if you are looking for good coverage without a heavy feeling and a little glow give this a try. It is a little expensive but well worth it for me especially if I added up what I paid for all the ones sitting on my vanity table that I don't like or use. I will probably put the other up for swap!!!

Primer/ Corrector -LORAC - Aquaprime
DoloresP 9/14/2007 1:01:00 PM
I have tried many of the popular primers - Smashbox, Mac, Laura Geller and Bare Escentuals to name a few. I like Lorac's Aquaprime the best. It makes my skin feel smooth AND hydrated. My makeup goes on very nicely with this product and last quite long. Sometimes I feel the other primers have a sticky consistency. Some can take a little longer to dry. This , maybe because it does not contain any Silicone, does not feel that way and dries instantly. I think the price is a little high but you only need a little bit and I would like to see this primer in a different type dispenser, but all in all I really do like it and would purchase it again.

Foundations -Philosophy - the supernatural airbrush canvas
DoloresP 8/9/2007 10:41:00 PM
I am 60 years old and have always used liquid foundation. (Everyone tells me I look ten years younger!) I have been wearing foundation since I was a teenager. Won't leave home without it! I decided to try the BE Mineral Foundation a couple of years ago. I really did try to like it since all I heard were raves about it. It just doesn't do it for me! First of all I hate the application. It is so messy to use no matter how careful you try to be. The powder ends up all over the place! Second of all it doesn't give me the coverage that it claims to. Hence, I decided to try the Philosophy Airbrush Mineral Foundation. So far I really like it a lot. Some people don't like the applicator sponge that is attached to the lid used to apply it with but I have found that the sponge works good for me and the coverage is much nicer than the BE. without any of the mess! It really does give my skin an airbrushed look. I will repurchase this product. Give it a try....I think you might enjoy it too!

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on Cream Liner in Deep Brown
DoloresP 5/21/2007 11:59:00 PM
I love this eyeliner! I have tried many such as Smashbox's Cream Liner and Bobbi Brown's gel liner as well as high end liquid liners. I have found this to be the best. It seems to glide on a lot easier than some of the others.Smashbox didn't have much staying power for me.I use my own thin liner brush and that works great. This lasts on me all day until I remove it at night. I have since purchased this cream liner in another color. Will definitely continue to use and purchase again. I think it was about $14 for the pot which I didn't think was bad at all.

Blush -NARS - Torrid
DoloresP 5/3/2007 11:10:00 PM
I read the MUA reviews and decided to give this blush a try. I have been in search of the perfect peach color blush forever and have tried many but never NARS. I am so happy I did. I love this blush (Torrid). It is so silky and goes on beautifully. Start out lightly and layer if you like. The color is so nice. I put on a little bronzer with the blush over it and it brightens up my face. I have highlighted hair and with a pretty light peach lipstick with gloss the look in perfect. I would definetely purchase the blush again and am anxious to check out some of the other color blushes that NARS sells. This is my new all time favorite blush! Dolores
