This is the only serum that can tame my very long and fine but tangly hair. I have tried the serum ultimate but it seems too heavy and not as detangling as this serum. I usually use Kerastase shampoo and conditioner but when I travel I just use the hotel shampoo and conditioner (bvlgari, loccitaine, etc). My hair will be smooth and shiny as long as I have this serum regardless of what I use prior. Definitely my HG and I cannot live without it!!
Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation Matte Formula
Dolce222 11/17/2009 6:44:00 PM
I was allergic to the original formula from BE but really wanted to use mineral makeup so after reading reviews here, decided to order the sample kit from EM. I loved how it didn't break me out and the color selection. After I finished the sample for fairly light neutral I ordered a full size jar:-D The color match is perfect (fairly light neutral)! The only problem is that this tend to get shiny looking on my skin after an hour or so (i have combo skin)...Maybe intensive would be more matte for me? Edit: I've noticed that after a few hours I get very oily and shiny. The bare minerals matte doesn't give me this problem...
FINALLY the perfect color match...I have a very hard time finding foundation that matches my face and neck. With MAC the NC20 is too yellow and NW20 is too orange. Actually, most brands like chanel, ysl makes my face orange. When I went to Nars to buy blush, the SA recommended their sheer glow foundation since she said NARs is known to have a wide range of colors that match Asian skin tone. Mont Blanc matches my skin perfectly! The only downside is that since it's "sheer" foundation it makes my skin look a bit oily(instead of dewy) so I have to reapply powder often. Maybe I should try the matte one next time (I have combination skin). Other than that I'm very happy with this foundation.
I hated the BE original formula...The original one made my face shiny and break out. I really wanted to like it since it gave such good coverage and it's apparently "better for skin." I got a sample of the matte in fairly light a couple days ago and have been trying it out. I have combination skin and it kept my skin matte for hours! I would definitely purchase the full size. One lippie off b/c even though the coverage is good, it still doesn't give me the airbrush look that liquid foundations give.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
Dolce222 10/13/2009 7:12:00 PM
I LOVE this brush!!! The 187 applies liquid foundation flawlessly... my skin looks like it's been airbrushed when I stipple with this. I've also tried the brush for applying blush and it gives just the perfect amount of blush on my cheeks. I only have one right now but I'm planning on buying another one so I can use one for foundation and one for blush.
Eye Makeup Remover -Rimmel - Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
Dolce222 9/29/2009 10:14:00 PM
On the label, it stated that it takes off waterproof eye make up....However, no matter how hard I rubbed it did not remove my waterproof mascara. I will definitely not be repurchasing this...
Amazing eyeliner!!! This goes on very dark and doesn't smudge. It is also very easy to control the thickness of the lines. Edit: Although the it is very pigmented and doesn't smudge, I've noticed that it's very hard to draw a thin line...
This product is not very moisturizing and has a very different consistency than other lip balms. I really wanted to like this product since it's organic and it has spf but I don't think I will repurchase this.
This toner soaks right in to my skin after I spritz. It has a very different feel than other toners. One lippie off b/c the scent is rather strong.
This peel works very well. I use it in the evening once every 2 weeks or so and the next morning my skin feels baby soft! It gets red for a while after use so I recommend using it in the evenings.
Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
Dolce222 9/28/2009 7:54:00 PM
I love this eye makeup remover! This is the only one that takes off all my waterproof mascaras. I go through this so fast so I wish it were a little less expensive!
Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder
Dolce222 9/28/2009 7:52:00 PM
This powder is amazing! I use it to set my liquid foundation and this makes all my pores less visible! I tried the pressed version of this powder but it wasn't as good as the loose one.
I love this foundation! It covers my imperfections very well while not making my face look cakey. This looks more natural on my skin than BE mineral foundation. The only downsides are that 1. the packaging is not ideal 2. the color doesn't match me perfectly (NW20 too pink while NC20 too yellow). One lip off for those reasons.
Conditioner -Kiehls - Cuddly-Coat Conditioning Rinse
Dolce222 9/9/2009 4:14:00 PM
Best conditioner for dogs! It makes my yorkie's hair smooth and shiny while my poodles hair fluffy. I've tried many types and brands of conditioners (natural, organic, etc) but this definitely beats em all. Definitely worth the price!
This is the only shampoo we use for our dogs. I wash my dogs weekly and this makes shampooing so much easier!!! I've tried many different kinds of shampoo/conditioner for our dogs but this definitely seems to be the best.
