Orange-y pink color. I love, love this shade. This is the first time I've ever tried something like this-- though it tends to make my lips appear dry, I just glide on my Chapstick lip balm. Definitely would repurchase.

Eyeliner -Estee Lauder - Artist's Eye Pencil

My sister has this and swears by it. Honestly, I don't know what she sees in this. I tried it on my waterline and ugh... I was a mess. I looked like a raccoon after an hour. On a positive side, the like its smudge tool at the other end. I find that the eyeliner is easy to apply. Glides on smoothly on my upper eyelid but annoyingly smudges! Hate it, sorry.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Sheer Gloss

My cousin gave me this lip gloss when I forgot to bring my Nivea lip care balm with me when we went out. After 3-4 times of borrowing it from her, she notices how pitiful I am and gave it. Thank you, girl! Now on to the review. Its just like any other lip gloss I've owned. I love that it doesn't flake my lips. I have a habit of always pursing my lips, obviously the gloss always seems to wear off so I have to apply more often. Sorry, I hate the packaging. A little bit of the gloss already came out when she pulled it out of her ginormous bag. Now when I'm using it, the gloss OOZES out and on to the cap. It's basically dripping. This packaging is not meant to be inside cluttered bags (especially not in my school bag!). Will not repurchase. There are other sturdier packaging in my local drugstore.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Charcoal

I bought this solely for my bottom waterline because my cousin swears by this eyeliner. Fail. I resembled a panda when I previewed my face on her camera. Will never buy this again. In addition, I've purchased Prestige's Total Intensity Eyeliner and can't wait to try it out based on the rave reviews here in MUA. Hope it performs better than Colorstay.

Blush -Shu Uemura - Glow On M Pink 33E

Love the soft pink shade it provides on my cheeks. Great for everyday for that natural 'blooming' look. Sadly, its staying power disappoints me. It fades out in just a few hours, have yet to try it with primer though. Will I repurchase? Probably not. Expensive for everyday (not that noticeable for occasions with cameras) and doesn't stay long. Many other blushes out there that are more budget friendly for students like me. =)

I've been using this lip balm for years, I can't count how many times I've repurchased this stuff. The perfect tinted lip balm that I can just slip out of my jeans pocket and apply without the use of a mirror. Gives me that little bit of color because I tend to be pale during school hours. I love this stuff!

I have the shade 903C. I love it. Plan to buy more shades the next time I go to my local mall.

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation

Ugh. I hate this. I tried everything just to make this product work for me (and to see my money not go to waste!) Tried to set my make-up with this and failed. Also tried to use it on its own as a foundation with my alison raffaele kabuki brush after properly moisturizing my face (waited about 20-30mins to apply this powder). After 2-3 hours of application, I see little powders congested at the side of my nose, on the lines around my mouth and on other areas of my face!! This powder doesn't offer oil-control, it oxidizes, and settles on my pores. I would believe that it doesn't do much justice to combo/oily people like me. I can only hope that my sister, who's more on the dry side, find a better use for this. Obviously, I would not repurchase. To those who found success in this product, lucky you!! I've owned this for over 3 months just to learn how to use this, it's just not for me. =(

Concealers -Cinema Secrets - Foundation/concealer

This stuff is amazing! Could this be my HG concealer? I bought a single shade in this little pot and used it under my eyes for those horrible dark cirles of mine. I applied it over my Palladio face primer. Patted my whole face with Laura Mercier loose setting powder. I looked at the mirror after a few minutes (and because I'm a bit oily on my T-zones), blotted out my face and brushed on my in2it 2-way foundation. No cakey-ness!! It was love. In addition, the staying power of this concealer under the hot summer weather here in the Philippines is amazing. I have yet to test it some more before deciding if it's HG status for my concealer. So far, I love it.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eye Primer Liner Sealer

My second eye primer, and I'm slightly impressed. I've only tested the primer and even under the hot summer weather (I live in the Philippines) at 1-4 pm inside an unconditioned cathedral, it held my eyeshadow in place. Sadly, I found creases after an hour --remedied by a quick swipe of my fingers, didn't notice a crease after that, resulting to a slight fading of my eyeshadow. Would I repurchase? Definitely! As far as the price. I can use it everyday during my review class this summer where the it's much cooler in air-conditioned rooms. =)

Eye Primer -Red Earth Cosmetics - Eye Make Up Base

I don't know if this a review but I just like to share my love/hate relationship with this primer. Either I have weird eyelids or this primer just doesn't agree with me. First of, it's my first ever primer, I fell in love with it the first time I've used it since it did NOT crease my eyeshadows. And I thought that this was it! But to my utter disappointment, for 3 straight stressful exam days, I wanted this primer to redeem its HG status for my must-haves. When I just wanted to brighten my eyes from lack of sleep with just the primer itself, I had creases after the first period. Thinking that I needed to set it with some powder, I patted on my LM Loose Setting Powder. Fail. The crease was much more noticeable. On the last day, which I have a night out after exams and no available primer at hand, I used it once more (yes, stubborn I am. :->) with eye makeup/eyeshadows again. And like the last time, no creasing at all. But I noticed it doesn't hold the eyeshadow for long hours, maybe just 4-5 hours? So that's my experience with this primer. Perhaps someone can give me pointers or tips on how to use this properly? Other than that, will not be purchasing again.

Powder -Unlisted Brand - in2it Oil Control 2-way powder foundation
rated 4 of 5
DoMeOver 4/9/2011 12:03:00 PM

My everyday powder foundation for my shiny T-zones. I've been using this for about 5 years. I also often apply this under my eyes to hide my dark circles when I'm in a hurry, but fades out in about 2-3 hours. Just wet a portion of the sponge for better coverage --but tends to cake if layered thickly in hot weather conditions and fades after a workout at the gym. Since I'm recently addic-- interested in investing on makeups, I'm on the search for a better one. Other than that, it's still my reliable powder foundation for everyday use... for now. And another thing about its packaging. The container comes in a lovely red sort-of metallic cover, it's their new packaging. Before it was a cute pink cover, but red is hotter IMO. Downside, this red cover (sticker) falls out when scratched against rough surfaces. I always carry it my bag for touch ups but when it accidentally landed beside my keys, lots of tiny scratch marks were found. Will definitely try out other powder foundation after I'm finish with this. If not, I'll continue repurchasing their refills.

Primer/ Corrector -Palladio - Herbal Liquid Foundation Primer
rated 3 of 5
DoMeOver 4/9/2011 11:13:00 AM

My first ever face primer (and review, hooray me!). Since I have nothing to compare it with, I'd say that it's pretty decent. I love, LOVE the silky, smooth effect it leaves on my face while applying my make-up. But still, my T-zones tend to appear shiny, really not that oily, from camera flashes. So every 3-4 hours I have to blot them out with a oil control film and/or pat on my in2it powder foundation (my everyday face powder). I attempted to use it on my oily eyelids with my coastal scents eye shadows. Creases pretty badly. Will I still buy it? Nope, I could live without it. Probably need to search for my HG primer for me to appreciate face primers. Still kinda new to this products.
