Treatments -The Body Shop - Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter
DiyaSpade 5/21/2013 8:11:00 PM
I have very dry hair, when I use this, my hair looked and felt noticeably softer. So why the low rating? That's because this product gave my back and chest acne, like very big big pimples all over my back and parts of my chest. The pimples were worst on my back. I used the product the first time and noticed the break outs. I waited 2 months and tried it again and I got back acne again. I do not have sensitive skin, and I don't have back acne either, so I know that the acne was caused by this mask. Too bad because my hair loved it. I gave the rest of my jar away.
Crème -The Body Shop - Extra Virgin Minerals Cream Compact Foundation

I bought this foundation to use because I was going on vacation and didnt want to carry liquid foundation with me, its very portable and the brush that it comes with makes application so easy that I can do my entire face in under 4 minutes. This product matched my face perfectly, covered up my flaws and blended on like butter. I'm usually a MAC NC42 and I got an #402 in this product. The product gets used up fairly quickly as well, because there is a significant dip in the product after using it 5-6 times, and I use it sparingly. The coverage is light to medium, and I always top it off with a powder and it stays put with minimum fading until the end of the day. The only downside is the price. I bought it with a 50% off coupon, so I paid $13 for it, otherwise I would never buy it full price. I will buy it again if I get another 50% off coupon. Highly recommend this product if you are traveling.
I took the 500mcg dose, and I started to develop itchy jawline acne, like Really itchy and there were a lot of pimples near my cheeks. It made my eyebrows grow super fast (the amount of eyebrow growth I would get in 2-3 weeks I got in about a week or so), and also, I noticed my eye lashes were a lot fuller. I did not see any different or enhanced growth for the hair on my head. I wish I could have kept taking it, because my lashes were indeed much fuller, but Biotin did horrible things to my skin. After I stopped taking Biotin, my skin went back to normal within 2 weeks.
Wow, what a great peach colored blush. Im a MAC C4/NC40 and Ive been looking for a nice peach blush, one that actually shows up on my skin and looks natural. Melba is it! It looks so natural and gives me that fresh look. Its well pigmented, so I use a light hand. I like using the SK flat top brush or the MAC 109 brush to apply. I like to use this on my natural not too much makeup days to add a little color. I love this blush!
I am in love with this foundation. It takes me less than 2 minutes to apply it, I stipple and buff it on with a 187. The coverage is medium, and it looks very natural. It gives me a natural satin look, not dewy or oily. I have oily skin, and this did not turn me into a greaseball like many other foundations do. I used a powder to set it. I am regularly a C4/NC40, but the NC40 seemed a bit dark/reddish on me so I got the NC37 which is a hair lighter and the color matched perfectly. The only thing I dislike is the price, $38 CND. I think this will last me about 4 months. I would repurchase.
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation

Used MUFE Mat Velvet #65, I'm usually a MAC C4. I tried pixiwoo's tip to use a fndtn brush to apply moisturizer so your brush is moist. Anyhoo, it felt kinda thick, and was still kind of hard to spread. My arm felt like it got a workout because I spent so much time spreading and buffing. The coverage was great, but the color was off. SO said it looked ok, but I felt kinda orange. Im returning it, but maybe I'll try a different color for this one.
I bought MUFE F&B in #18. Im usually a MAC C4. This looked good, and very dewy. It was easy to spread, and I liked the sheer coverage. Only problem was that SO said it made me look kinda red/orange. I wish this had a pump, because its hard to pour a small amount out, you either end up with little or a huge blob. I put a small blob on a petri dish to use, I didnt clean up yet, and when I came home, I saw that there was BIGtime oil separation! Soo much oil! It also made my skin feel itchy, and I noticed small bumps right away. I'm returning it!
I got this soap as a part of a gift, otherwise I probably never would have bought it. The smell really turns me off, and its really strong too. It is moisturizing, but I dont like the sort of waxy film it seems to leave behind. This soap also did not lather too well for me (maybe I got an old 1?), and it dissolves pretty quickly. I wouldn't buy this.
This is one big bath bomb! Its a cute red and white santa shaped, and I love how it turns the water RED! The smell of this isn't as strong as some of LUSH's other bombs, and that can be a plus or minus depending on your scent preference. After my bath, my skin felt softer. I love LUSH bombs because of the soothing oils that they put in them. The Satsumo Santa is a good one, I would repurchase.
Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Let's Do Lunch
DiyaSpade 1/23/2010 1:22:00 PM
Let's Do Lunch is a muted dusty orange/coral nail polish by OPI/Sephora. The reason I gave it a two is because this didnt dry too well. I did 3 thin coats and gave time in between coats, and it was sticky/gloopyish and took forever to dry. After touching my nails almost 40 mins after application AND applying a quick dry top coat, the polish was still soft and it dented. The color is nice, but looked kind of dull on my skintone ( MAC C4).
This a great eye shadow duo. One side is a pale champagne, and the other side is a pale baby pink. This looks very natural, and I like using the pale champagne side as an all over lid color. It is highly pigmented, and applies very smoothly. Also, the proceeds go to finding a cure for breast cancer. Great way to help the cause. This was limited edition, snatch this one up if you can still find it!
This a a regular black creme nail polish. It goes on smoothly in 2 coats. The brush was good. This lasted pretty well, and did not chip.
The best black eyeshadow ever created! This beats any and all black e/s I have tried in the past. MAC's carbon is not as deep and dark as this is. I bought this for $7 CND, but you can get it online for much cheaper. Save you $$ and buy this if your looking for a good black.
This makes a very nice base for my eye shadows and I love it for when I do matte neutral looks. Comparing this to Painterly paint pot, Painterly is a bit thicker and more opaque, which HB is more sheer and I need to dip the brush in a few times. Overall, this was nice, I like both cream shadows.
Oh yuck, why did they put so much glitter in this lipstick? The color is pretty nice, and I probably would have liked it, but the glitter just ruined it. I got this as a part of a gift set, otherwise there's no way I would have bought this on its own.
